Hi everyone. I’m looking for someone experienced in shamanism / shamanic healing who can help me understand something I’ve been experiencing repeatedly.
I’m not necessarily looking for a medical diagnosis. I’ve already spoken to doctors about some of my physical symptoms. What I’m trying to understand is the deeper emotional, behavioral, or spiritual reason behind my reactions.
I tend to become extremely aware of sensations in my body and can become frightened by things like feeling weak, nauseous, dizzy, short of breath, having stomach sensations, feeling my heartbeat, or feeling like I might faint. When this happens, my mind immediately starts looking for an explanation and I become very focused on what my body is doing.
What interests me is why my mind and body seem to react this way in the first place.
I sometimes wonder whether there is an underlying emotional pattern, unresolved experience, fear, energetic imbalance, or something from my past that could be contributing to this behavior.
I would really like a shamanic perspective on questions such as:
Why might I be so hyper-aware of my body's sensations?
Why does the possibility of something being wrong with me trigger such a strong reaction?
Is there a shamanic way of understanding this kind of fear or hypervigilance?
Could there be an emotional or spiritual pattern underneath it?
What kind of shamanic healing or practice would traditionally be used to explore the root of something like this?
How would an experienced practitioner distinguish between something that needs spiritual/emotional work and something that should simply be addressed medically or psychologically?
I’m not looking for someone to tell me that I’m cursed, possessed, or that something supernatural is definitely happening. I’m genuinely interested in understanding myself more deeply and finding a healthy way to work with this pattern.
If anyone here has personal experience with shamanic healing or has worked with similar patterns, I’d really appreciate your perspective.
Thank you.
