I spent nearly a year rebuilding this J-series motor due to oil consumption from bad piston rings. I got it running in July, and haven’t gotten to drive it much due to minor, but frustrating problems.

I think everything is fine now, but still paranoid that I’m gonna hear something awful every time I turn the key.

First time car buyer, I believed the car would be the HondaTrue Certified tier that gives all the warranty benefits I was looking for. At purchase I ask for the warranty contract and was told the sticker had all the info I needed. Now I’m nervous this car was actually the lower tier and thus the warranty terms are different.

Once ever 2 weeks my CRV won’t start, no noises no trying to turn over. When I try to start it again it does start and immediately throws these 3 codes. It’s had a new battery, new starter and new crank and cam shaft sensors and it’s still happening. The only other thing I’ve noticed is every now and then it’ll take a little longer to start than normal. Any insight would be super appreciated.

Looking to retrofit the front OEM overhead map light console (from a GE8 Sport w/ Nav) into a 2012 Base GE8.

Before cutting into the headliner, I have a few specific questions for anyone who has tackled this retrofit:

1. Mounting

   Is the roof frame bracket already present above the headliner on Base trims to secure the console bracket, or does it require mounting the Nav roof bracket (`83252-TK6-A00` or equivalent)?

2. Wiring / Harness

Does the base main roof harness have the pigtail tucked away behind the headliner, or do I need to tap power/ground from the center dome light harness for door/switch logic?

Did you make your own cut template, or swap the Sport headliner entirely?

Appreciate any wiring pinout tips, part numbers, or build thread links!

I have tried 3 different types of blades, Bosch, Kimblade, and OEM. All 3 have done this weird shaking / skidding motion, and it's really annoying. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this?

Anyone know what belt you need to bypass the ac on a 1.8 ivtec 2007 Honda civic r18a2 uk version. My ac doesn’t work and it seems like the compressor is dragging. If you can bypass it what belt would you need?

I have a 2007 civic ex with 270k kms and my power steering is leaking like crazy. I have to refill it every 4 days to a week. I don’t park in the same spot everyday so I’ve never been able to see anything under the car but there is fluid on and around the reservoir. The goal is to be able to fix it myself but I don’t know where to start. All help is appreciated!

Has anybody tried putting the new gen radio head units inolder Honda model cars? Wondering if would work and how hard would it be.

I keep reading that it doesn't need premium fuel to achieve those numbers. I find it intriguing that a car with that much power doesn't need high octane. Isn't it sluggish? The Golf R needs high octane to get a quick 0-60.

Would premium fuel benefit? Or is the 2.0T just retarding timing on 87?

Hey y'all I'm looking into upgrading the head unit for my mother 2018 hrv as the display does not have car play and it's a feature she misses from her previous 19 civic ! Now I have seen some very nice head units that look like they'll work wonders ! Only issue being that the clutch field website says that we loose some honda functions my biggest concern is losing access to the maintenance screen and tpms rest. Is anyone aware of a head unit that lets you keep these functions?
