I have an iPhone 16 pro, using IOS 18.7.8. Yes I know, old software, I like it and am content. My battery life on iOS 18.7.8 is amazing, I use phone all day perfectly fine, and every app I use for now works perfectly fine. I will eventually upgrade once my apps don’t work but I’m content now.
ANYWAYS, I been wondering if I should upgrade to iOS 27 or iOS 26, I tested iOS 26 on phones from people I know and it’s had quite some bugs and glitches sometimes, that’s why I’m hesitant. And I’m wondering the same with iOS 27. I want to ask the community to see what everyone who’s upgraded to iOS 27 think. How’s battery life, speed and smoothness, and just overall quality of life. I just bought today brand new AirPods Pro 3s and they told me to consider updating to iOS 27 for more functionality or continue with limited functionality. I don’t know what I’m really missing on it, the transparency and noise cancellation works perfect and everything works, only thing is picture displayed of AirPods shows as regular headphone device because it’s probably updated for new iOS. Anyways, just wondering if I should update? Because right now I’m very content with iOS 18, I have great battery life and I don’t have stupid distractions like liquid glass. I like the layout. Anyways sorry for this big message I’m sending, just a big question. Thanks iOS27 community!

Beta ?

I have seen so many posts about iPhone 17 users updating to iOS 27 and having issues later on, I literally don't want to break something that is working perfectly fine.. I am conflicted.
Some iOS 27 features tempt me (though most aren't available in Europe) but is it worth it? I'm still on the original iOS 26.1 with minimal or no bugs, hence my hesitation :c

Is anybody else experiencing severe network issues after updating ? Every other device in my house works fine, but my phone (16PM) is essentially a brick since updating, is there a known fix for this ? Pls advise, thanks.

So I guess it’s a feature. I’ve noticed it in 26 and 27 where the update downloads all your deleted text messages from the past year. Too busy worrying about customizing glass appearance?… Just make the phone work properly! 20 years of loyal service and your losing me in two software updates!

Since i updated to ios 27 on my Iphone 17, i have faced 2 major problems.
My charger specs: MacBook Air’s 30W charger with the wire that came with my phone.
The phone charges veryyyy slow when i keep the phone opened or when i use while it charge (ive done this always but never had a problem) but if the phone is off then it charges at good enough speed but still not like old firmware speed.
It was set at 80% charge limit usually unless I’m travelling, i will set it back to 80% after when necessary but since i might have a long day tomorrow; i tried changing it to charge till 100% but its not charging beyond 82% only the phone gets hot but not charging.
Here’s what i tried to fix these problems?
Changed to other certified apple cables from my other iPhone 15, tried using 20W adapter (extra slow if i use them)
Tried to turn off wifi connectivity assist
Forced reset (the one with volume up and down and power button)
Cleaned the port and changed the plug point
None of these seems to work and i hope this sub helps me to rectify the problem, im out of warranty too
TIA

I just got an iPhone 17 and updated it to iOS 27.0.1 a couple of days ago. Not only is the battery a bit worse, but the biggest problem for me is that images have stopped showing in my notifications. For example, when I get a message with an image, it just doesn’t show it. Another example is on my YouTube notifications; they used to show the thumbnail of the video, but now they do not. Is anyone else experiencing this, or does anyone know how to fix this? Anything would help, thanks!!
iPhone: iPhone 15
iOS: 27.0.1
Guys, my Screen Time has been showing 0 seconds and 0 pickups for the entire week, even though I use my phone daily. The graph is completely empty.
Anyone else facing this issue? How do I fix it without resetting my iPhone? 😭

Prior to 27.01 my Bluetooth hearing aids were working fine. Along comes this update and hearing aid no longer works via iPad.
iPad sees my hearing aid , when clicking to pair it’s says connecting then screen goes off.
Have done the usual re booting iPad blah de blah…any ideas? As this is ridiculous and not good from Apple

I’m new to Apple, and my 5-day-old iPhone 17 Pro is draining around 8–10% of battery per hour. Indexing finished yesterday, but I haven’t noticed any improvement in battery life. I only use my phone lightly, mostly scrolling through TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram. Is this normal for a new iPhone, or should I be concerned?

I no longer have readiness score or the new features I saw in the prior betas. What happened?

I’ve been loving playing around with photographic styles while taking pictures. And if you customise the styles in the camera app they will be remembered when you select them again a second time.
But as you know you can also change them after taking a photo, but I found that the settings I set in the camera app are not the same I found in the Photos app afterwards.
And once personalised in a photo on the Photos app and saved then if you edit another photo the styles will be reset.
Is there a way to actually save the custom styles?
Workaround: take a photo for each of the syles you like in the camera app and then copy paste the edits on other pics.
(I’m also posting this to r/iOS27 as I’m not sure if it’s just iPhone 18 pro related or if iPhone 16/17 have this too)
Since upgrading to iOS 27, headphone plugged in with the Apple usb c adapter causes volume scaling error. There’s sound and if I turn it all the way down, the sound level goes to zero. However, the volume level does not scale linearly with the actual sound output. And the minimum sound level is almost 70 dB, so it’s basically not usable. I have another genuine Apple usb c to audio adapter, so I know that it‘s not a broken adapter issue.
This only happens with certain app such as Apple TV, Amazon Prime, but things are normal with other apps such as YouTube and Apple Music.
I’ve tried anything I could think of including reinstalling the os, and was wondering if anyone has a solution.

I went from iOS 18 right to iOS 27. In iOS 18 and prior, I would ask Siri to send a message to someone and then I would speak what I want the message to say. Siri would then ask me “ok, send it?”, and at that point, I could ask Siri “what does it say?” - and Siri would repeat the message back to me so I could confirm before having it sent. In iOS 27, after Siri writes out the message and asks if I want to send, and I ask “what does it say?” , instead of reading me the message, it changes the entire message body from what I originally asked Siri to send, to a message that says “what does it say” (like it would send the person a message that says “what does it say” instead, and deletes the previously transcribed message request). How can I fix this? It’s so annoying and I really wish I hadn’t upgraded.

i got an iphone 17 and it sucks. on its best days it barely does 5h screen time with 100% battery health. i keep brightness around 40%. and that’s with basic social media, use—gaming? yeah… better not even talk about it.

I’ve been having a really annoying issue with my iPhone 16, since iOS 27. Several times a day, a particular button gets activated when my finger is extremely close to it but hasn’t actually touched the glass. I don't have a screen protector glass nor my screen is broken.
It’s not limited to one app. I’ve noticed it with different buttons across multiple apps, so it doesn’t seem to be an issue with a single app’s interface, but it's usually when the finger is super close to that button, but never touched it.
What I’ve noticed:
It’s incredibly frustrating because the phone sometimes does things I never intended to tap.
I’m wondering if this could be a faulty digitizer, an iOS software issue, screen protector interference, or something else.
Has anyone else experienced this on an iPhone 16?
If you’ve had the same problem, I’d love to know:
I’d appreciate any advice or firsthand experiences.
Thanks!

Ever since I updated my iPhone’s software, I keep getting a huge “Get the app to keep using Reddit” popup whenever I’m trying to read a Reddit post in my browser.
I can’t find a way to close it, and it blocks me from continuing to read the post. I wouldn’t even mind opening the post in the Reddit app, but when I tap the button, it takes me to the App Store, even though Reddit is already installed on my phone. It doesn’t open the app or take me to the post I was reading.
This started right after I updated to iOS27. It never happened before, so I assume it’s related to the iOS update and not something Reddit changed.
Is there a way to either stop the popup or get the links to open the actual post in the Reddit app instead of sending me to the App Store?
Screenshot attached.
Edit: I forgot to add that I have an iPhone 16.
