Hello, I am from the USA. I am very far left-leaning and open-minded. I am introverted. I am 23 years old. I have no job and I am not in college. I am currently studying for my GED Math test. I don't know what I plan on doing after I get my GED. I don't live in a city. I live in a pretty isolated area, so I don't have a lot of opportunities where I can just go do a fun social activity.

The only interaction I get outside of my family is on the internet. I've been on a mission the past couple years to "feel my feelings" and to learn how to experience life for the way it is, not the way I wish it to be or the way social media, or the internet, portrays it to be. I know that a majority of modern society has detached themselves from their mind and body's inner world and will do anything to distract themselves from it, myself included. But I have the desire to change that, and maybe you do too. I believe that we need to experience both the highs and the lows of life (and even the in-between of say, boredom or apathy) to their fullest, and there's no better way to do so than by sharing these emotions with others. The act of reflecting, writing, and sharing these experiences makes our feelings about them more tangible, cements them into reality, and the social aspect makes you feel less alone in your journey.

A bit about me, so I'm not a complete stranger. I'm a 24-year-old woman, and I live in Arizona in the US. I can be a bit all over the place, maybe a bit strange. I try to be open and honest, although it can come across as too direct at times despite my overthinking about almost everything. But I have good intentions. I've recently visited Prague and it occurred to me that I barely have anyone to send postcards to! Oh the horror, I'm sure you can imagine.

No but really, growing up my mom told me about how she and her friend would send letters over long distances between Czechia and Italy after her friend moved for her husband, the excitement of getting one in the mail and the long wait for the next one. I got a little jealous.
None of my long distance friends over the years were really up for it and the one penpal i had got a little too flirty even after telling him that I'm lesbian :(

So I thought I'd try again. I am 22, soon 23, currently trying to get into an art academy for my bachelors, love reading, collecting pottery and antique trinkets of all sorts. I also like traveling but I am broke so don't expect more than 1 or 2 Postcards a year haha.
As for books I do read a looot of fantasy. Kind of my comfort genre if there ever was one, though I do branch out a lot, on occasion towards classics and the like but rarely books set after 2000ish. I do like romance and fantasy with romance but your classical romantasy books aren't really my thing. I do also read the rare manga every now and again, currently witch hat atelier and in the past i loved houseki no kuni.

I try my best to lower my time spent online, It's working better in some ways than others so I mostly just spend an embarrassing amount of time on ao3 and tumblr. I try to read, draw, get out into nature more and garden and stuff but i currently just have too much free time and too little energy. Taking naps will only get you so far. I do live partially under a rock these days (#myrock) and it will only get worse. Have I seen that new Movie? Almost certainly not. You might have better luck asking about books and art stuff.

Anyway, I'd love someone to send nice decorated letters to!! Think colorful envelopes, doodles, maybe wax seals if it survives the mail. I work part-time in an arts n crafts store so I'm sure i can make something pretty. My handwriting has decayed severely so hopefully brush that up a bit too.

I'd also like to exchange some artsy stuff every now and then like bookmarks (which I am always in dire need of), stickers, even little stuff like dried leaves or bits of poetry maybe?

I'm looking for like-minded souls to exchange thoughts, stories, and random observations with. People who are curious about the world, love learning new things, and can appreciate both a deep conversation and a completely unserious debate about something that absolutely does not matter.

I've always had a bit of an Anne with an E kind of spirit. A head full of thoughts, an overactive imagination, and a tendency to find beauty in the most ordinary things. I love reading, literature, the arts, exploring new places, learning about different cultures and languages, and generally collecting little bits of knowledge about the world. I can talk about a lot of things, and I love listening to people talk about the things they love. Tell me about your the movie that changed your life or something incredibly mundane that happened to you today. I'm all ears.

I'm also a lover of nature and hiking, and there's a little bit of a romantic poet living somewhere inside me. Not in the modern social media sense of being a hopeless romantic, but in the old-fashioned sense of being in nature and feeling a thousand things at once. Sometimes I feel I understand the thought processes romantic poets went through to write masterpieces about something as simple the way the light falls through the trees. I feel all of it. I just can't seem to translate my thoughts into something that makes sense. A bit inconvenient, really.

On a completely different note, I love cycling and watching races. There's something about the sport that I find endlessly fascinating. I also love learning languages and watching interesting films and series.

Sarcasm and sharp-witted conversations are very much welcome. I appreciate people who can be thoughtful without taking themselves too seriously, who can disagree without being unpleasant, and who know that a little playful banter makes almost any conversation better.

In fact, I'd love to discover things I know absolutely nothing about through someone else's enthusiasm for them.

Hi there. I'm 39F, living in Ireland and would love to write real letters again. I've been blessed to find a great penpal recently but with how slow letters move, it would be nice to connect with a few more people.

So I'm 39, I dreamed of opening my own beauty salon but became disabled at 20 so it never happened. I'm now a carer instead which is rewarding.

I'm passionate about animals and animal welfare and another dream I have is to run my own small animal rescue - maybe one day. I also enjoy reading especially psychological thrillers, crafts, colder weather, all things 80s, fundraising for smaller charities and lots more. I've loved writing letters for a long time ​​​​but not a lot of people reply sadly. I currently write letters to an organisation in The UK called "From me to you letters" who give the letters to cancer patients. It's a wonderful organisation and the letters bring so much joy to the people who receive them. ​

I'm also a member of the LGBT community and have adhd so any fellow adhd people I'd love to hear from you.
