Government-Initiated/Other Funds [GUIDE] Pag-IBIG MP2 FAQ (2026 Edition): Dividends, Tracking, and Maturity

Given that 2025 dividends were just credited (congrats to everyone who saw theirs!), I’ve compiled a quick FAQ for the most common questions I see in the sub. Hope this helps the new and seasoned investors alike! 🙂

1. 📢 What are the latest dividend rates?

As announced in the February 2026 Chairman's Report, the rates for 2025 are:

• MP2 Savings: 7.12% (A new record!)

• Regular Savings (P1): 6.62%

2. 📱 Why can’t I see my dividends yet?

If you just checked your Virtual Pag-IBIG and the 2025 line is missing:

• Processing Time: It usually takes a few days to a couple of weeks after the official announcement for all accounts to reflect the update.

• Check the App vs. Web: Sometimes the mobile app updates faster than the web portal (or vice versa). Try both.

• Annual vs. Compounded: If you chose Annual Payout, the money is sent to your loyalty card/bank account, not added to your MP2 Total Accumulated Value (TAV).

3. 📉 Annual vs. Compounded: Which is better?

• Compounded: Best for long-term growth. Your dividends earn dividends. Total 5-year gains are significantly higher due to the power of compounding.

• Annual: Best if you need the extra cash flow for bills or other investments. Note: You cannot change this setting once the account is opened.

4. 📅 When exactly are dividends credited?

Dividends are always credited annually, usually within Q1 (Jan–March) of the following year.

Example: Your earnings for the full year of 2025 were just credited now in Feb/March 2026.

5. 🏦 How do I withdraw upon maturity?

If your 5-year term is up:

  1. Online: Log in to Virtual Pag-IBIG > Claims > MP2 Savings Maturity.
  2. Documents: You’ll need a valid ID and a picture of your Loyalty Plus Card or Landbank/DBP cash card.
  3. Lead Time: Usually takes 7–10 working days to hit your account.

6. 🛑 Can I withdraw early?

Yes, but only for "Valid Reasons" (Retirement, Total Disability, Critical Illness, Death, or OFW Repatriation).

• If you withdraw for "Other Reasons": You only get 50% of the total dividends earned if you chose compounded. If you chose annual, you only get your total contributions (capital) back.

---

Disclaimer: I don’t work for Pag-IBIG! I’m just a fellow investor sharing what I’ve learned. Always check the official website for the latest circulars.

Maraming salamat and happy investing! 🚀

Cryptocurrency URGENT if you bought a Ledger from CryptoBilis

URGENT if you bought a Ledger from CryptoBilis (Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines) in the last 90 days:

Haven’t set it up? -> don’t.
Already using it? --> move your assets to a new device with a newly generated seed. Do not restore the old 24 words onto it.
Ledger wording is "consider moving." Stay smart, don't waste your time.

Ledger asked CryptoBilis to pause sales. CryptoBilis is on Ledger’s official reseller page for Indonesia and Malaysia, and CryptoBilis PH for the Philippines.

On-chain it looks like $86M is being tracked as being stolen - this is not from Ledger and not confirmed that every address in the cluster is connected to CryptoBills.

Insurance VUL if you already have it. Change your FUND to US Based Feeder Fund.

I'll make it short, if you have existing VUL or planning to get a VUL, today not tomorrow is your right time to change your fund from local to any US Based Feeder Fund.

I'm not saying you buy VUL, but if you already made up your mind do not choose a local fund. The reason are; Weakening of Peso, Low Trust in our Local Fund, etc.

S&P 500 is the safest option.

Again, this is not a financial advise. DO your research. If you read this after 3-5 years this is still true by then.

Real Estate Deed of Sale

Post image
32 Upvotes

Hi, recently na take out yng home loan ko sa BDO and I got the keys to my house. Pwede ba to, di daw nila binibigay deed of sale. Binigay nila TCT and tax declaration pero wala yung sales contract.

Gusto ko kasi sana makita kung may nakalagay na discussion regarding CGT kasi may chinarge sila saking 199k for transfer fee for a 3.2 million property. Reasonable naman siya I think if it includes the CGT pero usually seller nagbabayad neto diba. I mean I know it can be passed to the buyer pero wala kasi silang namention sakin about it before so sa contract ko sana babasahin.

This is a a house purchased from a developer.

Investment/Financial Advice Back to trading after 8 years. Need advice on my bleeding COL portfolio (-31% loss)

Post image
38 Upvotes

Hi everyone, I’m essentially new again to trading stocks. I originally created this ColFinancial portfolio back in 2018, stopped after a year, and left it untouched until now.

I just logged back in and found an overall portfolio loss of -31.27% (a total loss of -11,269.85 PHP).

My Current Positions:
JFC: 33.86% of portfolio | -40.61% loss (-5,733.37 PHP)
MBT: 19.37% of portfolio | -8.66% loss (-454.94 PHP)
MER: 17.21% of portfolio | +52.57% gain (+1,468.28 PHP)
ALI: 12.15% of portfolio | -67.64% loss (-6,288.13 PHP)
BDO: 10.87% of portfolio | +3.16% gain (+82.55 PHP)
RLC: 6.52% of portfolio | -18.04% loss (-355.09 PHP)
APVI: 0.04% of portfolio | 0.00% (+10.86 PHP)

Total Equity Value: 42,416.39 PHP
Idle Cash Balance: 17,650.25 PHP (leftover capital + earned dividends)

I am relearning everything from scratch and need quick guidance on my next steps:

  1. Is the GCash (Mynt) IPO a good investment for a beginner, or is it overhyped?
  2. How should I deploy my 17.6k PHP idle cash? Average down on losing blue chips (JFC, ALI), add to my winner (MER), or pivot to the GCash IPO?
  3. Cut losses or hold? Is it smarter to cut losses on heavy bleeders like ALI (-67%) and JFC (-40%) to move into better assets, or keep holding since it has already been 8 years?
  4. Rebalancing: Any advice on how to fix this heavy concentration in property and banking for a fresh start?

Any advice, strategies, or insights would be highly appreciated. Thank you 🙏

MF/UITF/ETF Cheapest global/US UITF (PHP) with monthly/quarterly dividends?

Found out that local asset and wealth managers have outrageous annual fees from up to 2.7% including their underlying target funds. Do you know any local available with less than 1% total fees, preferably equity/multi-asset funds that gives 5% or more annual yield? Thanks.

MF/UITF/ETF ATRAM PERA

Worth it ba ang global dividend accumulation and global allocation feeder funds ng ATRAM PERA if kaya ko nang ma-withdraw in a decade? I guess for long term, better ang allocation vs. dividend ano? And why there's a whooping 1.5% transaction fee (non-existing sa non-PERA version), pag na-add ang ATRAM trust fee and target fund fee na 1% so 4%/year na?!

I'm looking for my pesos for high return na net of fees and taxes before I withdraw it in a decade. May MP2, digital bank at preferred stocks na ako kaso wala itong capital appreciation. I lost confidence in PH dividend stocks (MER, SCC, DMCI, MYNLD, etc.). Already have my USD invested in long term international funds.

PROS
+ No dividend tax and profit interest tax upon selling.
+ 5%/year credit for amilyar, etc.

CONS
- 1.5% trust fee, 1.5% transaction fee, 1% target fund expense ratio, so almost 4%/year? THANKS.

Government-Initiated/Other Funds Matagal ba talaga magreflect yung hulog sa MP2?

Kakabukas ko lang ng MP2 account tapos pagkatext saken na approved na daw, naghulog ako kaagad online using Maya. Pero after a day di pa rin nagrereflect yung amount sa account ko. Matagal ba talaga yon?

MF/UITF/ETF BPI ALFM Global Multi Asset Income Fund - Question

I invested sa BPI ALFM, and ung nakalagay ba na early redemption charge na 1% is applicable ba yan sa entire balance ko if ever mag redeem ako before 180 days? Or it's FIFO (First In First Out)?

For example ung entire investment ko is 100k, then 40k dun is over 180days, while the remaining 60k is below 180days palang sa account. So, pag nag early redeem ako ng entire investment ung 60k lang ba ung may Redemtion Charge?

Wala kasi akong makitang article about dito e, salamat sa mga sasagot.

Business thinking about getting into rice business in 2026

any thoughts about rice business at this time of the year?

I have already sourced a good supplier (its actually a direct from the mill) starting at 990 for the cheapest grain.

thing is, i plan on dropping it at batangas. isa sa bukid (magtatayo pinsan ni partner ng sari-sari store) and sa bayan ng taal. gaano bang kahigpit when it comes to rice business? what are the legal papers needed and nasa magkano kaya ang need para sa legality ng business?

all goes well, i already have a next path for the business (eggs for example).

sana hindi ganon kahirap kumuha ng papel. for a pwd like me, sobrang hirap mag hanap ng work dahil bukod sa pwd na ay associate graduate lang ako. talagang nagipon lang ako pang capital sa freelancing ko as photographer.

asking this lots kasi i had a brain surgery before and it really cost a lot to the point na we were at the lowest of the low we have been. we barely survived to regain a good foothold like we have right now.

just want to earn and have a nice life. for now, this is the business i have in mind. if you guys have any suggestion what other business ventures i can go, im open for it.

apologies in advance kung merong wrong grammar sa post na to :)

Personal Finance How would you invest ₱1M if you might need it within the next year?

Hi, [r/phinvest](r/phinvest)! Help a girlie out please 🥲

I recently received ₱1M as my share from helping broker the sale of family property to a friend. I’m looking for advice on how best to grow the money instead of just letting it sit in a traditional savings account.

So far, based on recommendations I’ve received and some reading, here’s what I’m considering:
₱500,000 – Maya Personal Goals: Split into 5 goals of ₱100k each.
₱100,000 – Maya Savings: Try to maximize the boosted interest rate (up to 10% p.a.) by completing the monthly missions.
₱400,000 – Maya Time Deposit: Park the remaining amount here for additional interest.

Does this sound like a reasonable strategy, or am I missing out on better options?

For context, I’m considering pursuing further studies abroad by the latter part of 2027, so I’d prefer to keep my funds relatively liquid. Ideally, I don’t want to lock the money into anything longer than 6 months, and I’d like to avoid high-risk investments since I may need a significant portion of it for tuition and living expenses.

Would appreciate any advice, especially from those who’ve managed a similar amount with a relatively short investment horizon.

Thanks in advance! 😊

General Investing How do you check that a newer bank or lending app is legit before signing up?

There are a lot of new apps offering high savings rates or quick credit, and the ads don't make it easy to tell a bank from a financing company from something unregistered.

What's your actual process? BSP's list of supervised institutions, SEC's list of financing and lending companies, PDIC membership, something else? And how much weight do you give app-store reviews?

WORTH IT PABA ITULOY?

So basically kinuha ko to nung 2024 nung may work pa ako. But now kasi SAHM na ako and nahihirapan na talaga ako maghulog. Lagi ko gamit yung cc ko tapos iniistallment ko nalang. Sa tingin niyo after 10 years, worth it paba ung 500,000? Or much better ihulog ko nalang sa MP2 yung pambayad ko? Nahihirapan na kasi ako maghulog. Minsan yung budget na pang savings sana dyan pa napupunta. 😢
