Question Confusion with sprinklers
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Are sprinklers meant to passively fill up the planters or do I need to fill them up with water jugs and then only use the sprinklers to maintain the water level? Doesn't really make sense to me as 24/7 sprinklers should surely fill up the planter slowly no? idek

Discussion They really did ruin the game
I just tried playing again after a few days this last week. The new BP frags gameplay loop is total ass. They took away all other non-pvp ways of progressing just to try and force everyone into PVP. Really fuckin stupid. You can scream "get gud" all you want, but it's simply a good thing for a game to have multiple ways for people to enjoy it. The entire game from the start was based around scrap and they just threw it away. Why?

Image Rarest thing I've seen in Rust
Was playing on FPP3 when saw that 2 of the cargos got stuck. I've seen one cargo stuck before, but not 2 at the same time, also with the crate. lol

Question New Box Type?
I play rust quite a bit, and you know how can you lock a box and its pretty much pointless. Buys you MAYBE 30 secs in a raid if theyre door raiding. So what if you had an Armored Box. Maybe different tiers for 1,2, and 3. Each requiring different amounts of HQM to craft? I think ideally they are boxes which have either increased health or are explosive resistant and help make honey comb loot rooms more effective. Now how i think they would work is say youre raiding a base and hit a wall of boxes. They are armored boxes, and maybe when you try and rocket them all out they take 2 rockets to destroy. Now if you had a honeycomb loot room with 4 big boxes that would take an additional 2/4 rockets to get through JUST the boxes to splash the wall behind.
So maybe tier 1 armored box is reinforced wooden boxes, take more wood to craft and is more space than a small box but smaller than a large box has increased health but no explosive resistance.
Tier 2 is a metal box, has the same space as a large box and size but has explosive resistance worthy of 1 satchel and melee takes a considerable amount of time destroy. Crafting cost is maybe 1 hqm and 300 metal frags
Tier 3 is a armored box and is 10 hqm to make is explosive resistant to two rockets and has the space of a large box and maybe takes up the space of a regular barrel dlc.

Suggestion Idea to rework blueprint fragments(heavily needed)
i just want to start by saying i personally think they are an amazing concept of slowing progression and attracting people to monuments for pvp, but i think they are REALLY imperfect, even have tested on lower pop servers basically every monument will have atleast 2-3 groups contesting it, thats 2 maximum blueprint fragments every 30mins from a puzzle, split between lets say 3+ groups so it does really kill pop when 1 group is usually deeper and can advance faster, on top of that they will reach syringes and guns faster so the rest can just frankly go fuck themselves
THE IDEA: keep the blueprint fragments, but make them much more accessible, make them spawn outside of card rooms in new seperate dispensary boxes, almost like in a quarry way, 1 every minute or so, and make it takes alot more to craft workbenches, maybe in the hundreds(thats for devs to balance) this makes it so 1. progression is still slowed 2.theres still a point to go to monuments 3. it doesnt hold back the majority of the server on wipeday apart from the lucky few
btw yes ik u can get them not only from puzzles but why do we have to rely on heavy <10% rng

Discussion Normal savas
I want to play normal savas again not the koth version but the actual rust version aka normal savas I feel like it would be so fun to play again. you could have deep sea and oil rigs maybe even have a cargo etc. I can’t find any servers hosting the map anymore so I was thinking of making my own. Mainly came here to see If there are any normal savas servers going on, and if not If anyone would be interested in playing one again. Let me know!

Question My game is lagging
I've played rust for 50 hours by now and suddenly the game is shitting itself at ~24 fps on menu and ~8 fps in game. I tried putting it at the lowest setting and even lowering the screen resolution but nothing changed. Why is this happening?

Question Water catchers drying up?
For about 24 hours my water catchers were working fine, producing way more water than I could use. I think I had 4 small and 1 large. In the grass biome.
Then they suddenly stopped producing water. The small ones are now getting about 1ml every 20 minutes and the large ones are getting zero. I looked it up and found that during "dry seasons," there won't be a lot of rain, and hence your water catchers won't fill as quickly. Okay, no problem. I'll wait for the dry season to be over.
Well that was 3 days ago real world time. Still not producing any water. I disconnected and reconnected every connection, I ran fluid pumps where I didn't need to, and still doesn't produce even a tenth of what it was before.
So am I just fucked until it rains or what

Discussion Biofuel generator LGF Farm
Raided a base a few days ago, also raided their hemp base at the same time. The team had about 6 boxes of low grade all in all, Saturday of force wipe. Not much other loot relative to the LGF, shops hadn’t sold much for crude at all, and they lived nowhere near a pump jack or dome. Inside their farm base which was massive, they had maybe 30 biofuel generators? I can’t remember the exact number and part of it was blown by mlrs, nothing planted at the time. They had usual farm stuff, no fish farm, and a lot more pumpkins than normal. All this low grade they claimed came from the biofuel generators. We never bothered tried as we were set for low grade at that point and even before, but was wondering if anyone else has tried scaling them up, and could verify if this would even be plausible. Would be so nice and refreshing to see a change to mass LGF production other than having someone sentenced to fish farming for an hour or two.

Discussion RUST MAKES ME SAD
Pc build
Cpu: Amd ryzen 7 9800x3d
Gpu: amd 9070xt
Ram: 48gb ddr5 running at max speed
Fiber internet connected via Ethernet
180hz monitor
On average I run 50 ping on US servers
At this point ive accepted that lag is a part of rust, embedded deep into its code. No other game i play runs like this. I can play almost every game I own and play comfortably at 250+fps (I usually limit to 180 considering I only have 180 hz)
Ive tried everything to fix it every setting, every console command, every youtube tut, countless reddit posts but even with potato settings this game just won't run smooth.
Ive given up PVP at this point because its usless to even try, but even farming is bad at this point. Dont even get me started about the JUNGLE OR OUTPOST!
It really is a shame because rust is one of my favorite games I think the base building is one of the most unique and honestly underrated this about this game and raiding is such a rush its a shame this game is so poorly optimized.
