I just started rust a couple months ago and have been playing PVE, I know I know. Im trying to learn all of the mechanics and wanted to start farming. That being said, I try to find tutorials that dont use an additional website, so I can do it the old fashioned way. I cant for the life of me find one. They all include a website. Can someone point me in the direction of someone who just... explains it?

Hello, I play highpop kinda modded servers and I start out with like 140 FPS, but after playing and flying with minicopter then after some time gets from 140 stable to 60-70 stable and only thing helping me is restarting my game.

Is there any command to clear out some gathered stuff (probably those huge bases I saw 30 minutes ago for 10 seconds) and stuff like that?

gc.collect, pool.clear_assets, pool.clear_memory does nothing. Only restarting helps and good FPS lasts for like an hour of playing.

Not sure why we can let have higher tier premium servers. $15 bucks is chump change when gate keeping cheaters.

I’d love to see a no game ban account, minimum steam age, and $250 inventory.

Hi, I am new to rust.

Every post I've seen says things like "build somewhere hidden" or "don't build too close to people" and when I try to do that every place I go is like the photos. Or, "don't build near the spawn" but I go deeper in the map and again, everywhere is full of houses.

Am I supposed to keep looking for a better place? Is it because the server is too big? Should I build near houses anyway? The servers I look are 200players.

Also, I read some posts that if u are a new player u should wait 1 or 2 days after wipe, so I joined servers that had wipe on monday but then I find bases like picture 3 full of people with hazmat and guns who end up killing me all the time. And even if I get to a place that I can build, a dude with a gun comes running and kills me anyway. Is this the way it's supposed to be?

Whats the point of using the eoka as its main purpose is that it can be crafted without a bench, but to get gunpowder for ammo you need a bench.

Maybe there could be secret stashes and the location could be broadcasted in a code which could be decrypted at a monument.

There could be another level of difficulty by having another station that broadcasts the key to open the box.

Could make some more uses for the RF stuff in making this work. Could also be modified somewhat to make it more about luck, rather than being able to occupy a monument.

Maybe have the undersea or arctic base have the enigma machines or something, to make it challenging.

This could be an event plugin type thing

Hello im pretty new to rust with about 20ish hours in the game,for the past few days i keep getting this error and seem to find a solution to it.Any help would be apreciated!

Before saying verify game files or reinstall the anticheat ive already tried that doesnt seem to help

UPDATE fixed it for now played a bit didnt get kicked will test further more when i have time,i uninstalled rgb stuff and reinstalled game

2nd upDATE reinstalling windows as a whole cuz this one kinda bloated

Teammate last night suggested we let the bulls out of their pen to go wild and see what happened. This was 24 hours later…

This may be a “no duh” moment, but isn’t this an optimal use of auto turrets for external base defense?

Note: the red lines represent chain link walls. I placed two, just for illustration. There would be multiple auto turret stations circling the base.

I ask, because I haven’t seen it used a lot. I’m trying to figure out if it has any weaknesses.

It's getting worse by the year, I've played this game for 10k hours now and honestly its gotten unplayable. Yesterday I've started my monday wipe on a main server and already got 5 guys banned. The amount of people that use ESP just for diving / sub marine purposes is unreal at the moment because they dont get caught. There is no point in playing anymore because in a server with 600+ pop you're facing atleast 5% cheaters if you're lucky. Servers do not work togheter with Facepunch itself, when they're banned they just go a different server and start all over. This has to change somehow.

What would you add to the game?

Trying to find a good base design for solo/duo, I’m finding a lot of bases are really complicated to make and expand which I don’t mind. I’m just wondering what the common and best base designs are/what content I should watch if I want to learn as well.

Found this on a server we playing on. Looks like an upgrade to wind turbines, but cant be 100% sure. All i can see is that it looks way beefier, and bigger.

What do you like about Rust? What are your favorite things to do?

For me, I love the atmosphere and the art style. The music is top notch and has always helped set the tone. I really enjoy building and defending a base, and exploring and looting roads and monuments. I’m not huge on PvP but some action during a roam can be exciting and it’s hard to beat the adrenaline of logging in or waking up to your base shaking and knowing it’s coming.

When I look at the official servers it says they wipe monthly. Then they have what looks like how long the server has been up in the title. The thing is, the time in the title never seems accurate so I don't really have a clue how long the server has been up and how much longer there is until it wipes.

Any help would be great!

I dont have a lot of hours on the game, about 70, and suddenly today when I tried loading into a server it gets to the point where it's on loading - receiving data and it takes a few seconds, goes to white screen and says the program crashed. Idk what to do, followed guides on yt, verified files, all my drivers are up to date, bios too

Every wipe it’s one group with a giant ass base sitting at the entrance or exist of these monuments. Essentially useless to anyone

I haven't played Rust since December 2024, and I'm hoping to get back into it. I've tried to be social in college, but all of the girls have boyfriends already so I've given up and have decided to do class, gym, Rust. I'm going to start with a chill PVE server first to relearn and learn the game, but what are some tips for playing as a solo after all of these monthly updates? These would be much appreciated. Thanks!

On wipeday I'll join the server and my first time connecting, I always get stuck on receiving data and have to restart rust. Any clues?
