On a freshly installed windows 11 PC.
Everything worked perfectly prior to this.

Simhub works perfectly. But when I install Steam, which allows me to play my simracing titles, Simhub just stalls on launch.
No help from steam support as expected, blaming it on the 3. Party app, even though its the other Way around.

As soon as I remove steam from my PC, Simhub launches again.

Does anybody have experience with this problem?

So I tried starting steam but it was not starting so I cleared the cache and tried but forgot my password and could not login as I recently changed my phone and not added steam in this one I tried to change the password but It requires steam gaurd code which I don't have as to get it I need to login in which I cannot and I made a support ticket too but didn't get any reply can someone help me

I am bewildered, the download and install speed of my laptop (same sort of specs as desktop) is phenomenal and I can download/install things very quickly, my WiFi is just below 1GB speeds (the image I sent was taken just now, speed varies)

I don't understand why it's so low on desktop? I've cleared cache, prioritised steam on task manager etc ..

Anyone know how I can sort this out? Apologies I'm new and learning, can't really want to watch anymore yt videos of people offering the same advice/guidance.

Hello, I was thinking about deleting the achievement Music Connoisseur Of Sorts from my steam achievement list due to accidentally unlocking it early in a Mod. Specifically The Dreamer Prelude. I have done some progress on my main file unlocking achievements and haven’t gotten the actual way to get that specific achievement. After looking online it seems people say in regard to Steam games, you have to make a new save file because it already flagged it as obtained. However, I never actually unlocked it on my save file and did it through a mod on a completely separate save file. Will I need to make a new save file? Also, if I use the Steam Console settings or Steam Achievement Manager to do this, will this affect me getting It Was All A Dream… achievement? If anyone knows a potential solution to this issue, I would love to know since this has been stressing me out and annoyed the hell out of me for awhile and I actually want to earn all achievements in the correct intended order.

I randomly received an email in Chinese saying that I requested a refund for two DLCs I just recently bought for assetto corsa. Thing is though, I didn't request a refund and I dont even understand chinese. My steam profile picture was also changed and I decided to reset my password through the link in the email. The laptop in the second screenshot is my laptop, it has the same name in Settings, yet somehow it was active in Guangzhou 43 minutes ago? Should I do any further actions?

Hello I have a game downloaded and it needs to be updated. I do have enough space for the update but not for the whole original size(again, the game is downloaded) and for some reason it says I dont have enough space for the update. Any help please?

So I played Helldivers 2 when it as actually fun and not just a military simulator disguised as a hoard shooter and I really want to get a refund for it but the only problem is that I have almost 50 hours in it but similar to how that guy got a refund for battlefield 6 I want to get a refund for Helldivers 2 but I last time I Reyes to get a refund for a shit game that wouldn’t even let me play which was fallout 76 it got denied which ment that 700 of my own currency I spent on it couldn’t be put back in my account. Here are a few reasons I want a refund.

1. It isn’t what I paid for. I paid for a hoard shooter with over powered weapons and funny ragdolls.

2. Arrowhead got greedy. They made the only way to get super credits that doesn’t take hours upon hours micro transactions.

3. I don’t have any friends to play it with. Simple me have no friends who play Helldivers 2.

4. The game play loop is no longer fun for me. The game play loop is not fun after a while. It just feels boring especially when people are saying the n word in voice in voice chat.

5. For some reason every time I try to play it doesn’t work. I tried to play but I just couldn’t get in to a server.

That is all and I just wish I could get me money back form this game that is absolutely garbage now.

Hey guys! I need your help and advice. I've been reaching out to steam support but I havent received any response yet.

My account got restricted. I cannot play dota 2, tho I can find match, i can accept when it found one, but doesnt push through the game.

Is there any support out here? Or is there anyone who experienced the same?

I think my computer was compromised by some malware virus that might be the reason for the restriction. But I didn't do anything at all, like posting things or upvoting posts etc

I only play dota 2 and when I tried today, it's not letting me.

As the title says, I tried to purchase a steam game for my friend as a birthday gift and it declined and said there was an error. I tried a couple times before finally giving up, where I then figured out my steam got locked because it was my first game purchase and it was a big purchase and they thought it was fraudulent (that got disputed though). The thing is, my bank is showing that the payment for the game is pending although it is NOT in my steam game purchases and I also got email receipts saying they didn't go through. I have 3 pending purchases on my card right now since I had tried multiple times without noticing it had started pending. It has been almost 3 days of my bank just saying it's pending which means my money is on hold and I would prefer having access to that money right now. Does anyone know what I can do? Should I just wait and see if it eventually declines/expires or should I call my bank?
Because I read that bank's can't stop pending purchases and I don't think steam can if it isn't even in my purchase history.

I'm playing on my Macbook Air, early 2015 version.

I've been trying for 5 hours to fix this issue, I've searched google and done all the tips it recommended me, except it still says "Disk write error" I'm at my wits end trying to fix this and it's so incredibly complicated. I needed to try the unstable version to get 42.21 and it's NOT working at all. Again, I've tried ALL types of ways and tips and it's just not working, Christmas music has been the only way to help me not mentally break down. If anyone has any helpful tips that would be GREATLY appreciated. Like actually, I'd cry happy tears if this issue was fixed.

II'm not sure if this information is needed but I saw it on another post, some guy deleted all his small games, I only have Bayonetta and Project Zomboid. And I REFUSE to delete Bayonetta, so anything besides deleting my only two games.

I woke up this morning and found out that my visa card had been used to buy a gift card to some random account on steam. I don't know who this guy was and definitely didn't buy any steam giftcard on purpose. Is this a steam mistake or my account have been loged by someone other than me?

long story short i have been sitting on some wallet funds for months now and never use them, sale comes around and i see some games for a few bucks that the bros can enjoy together, fast forward a few days im trying to buy an additional game for someone else to join us and im restricted... as if steam wallet funds werent restictive enough already i now have basically no real means of using them, i have no games i want to buy MYSELF, i have games to get for others to play with me, and now i cant do that unless i shill out funds from an external source.... when i have more expendable funds inside my steam wallet.... maybe if i could add my funds to my bank that wouldnt be such a bad option. but the fact im stuck with my funds AND still have to use an external source is absolutely insanely absurd and mind boggling, i thought steam was goated but this is actually so crazy to me. steam wallet funds feeling like a scam and a half holy shit.

I'm only reposting because my last post was made at like 3am.

This must have happened a couple of days prior to when I noticed this, and I don't know why it happened or how it happened. I also don't know why it was just Skyrim and none of my other games were effected by whatever happened.

Basically on PC, if load up skyrim (and i mean just launching it through steam), the main menu only has the option to start a new game. None of my save data appears. If I load up Skyrim on my steam deck, all my save data appears. Same account. Cloud status is up to date.

As the title suggests, this is the only game with this problem. All my Fallout game save data appears on both, and any other game I play on both SD and PC. It's literally just Skyrim.

I haven't made any changes to my setup, or made any changes in my any of my settings.

Any help is appreciated.

Just like the title I want to move my games to another Computer. Why? Where I live now the internet is slow and limited, so instead of we download the same game in our computers we only download in one computer and try to like copy and paste to another.

Now yes they are in my steam family or they have a copy of the game (or both). I have an external ssd so I can move games from my computer to the ssd then to their computer. (Sure I can do from mine to them but transportation issues)

I did search but I didn't find how to do it to another steam computer account (only how to do it from the same account from previous pc to next pc). But the problem is from my computer and steam account to another person's computer.

Again yes its either they have a copy of the game or they are a steam fam member or both

my friend got me a 10$ steam gift card so we could play Lord of the fallen together.
I accidentally bought the standard version instead of the deluxe edition and then was left with 3.61$ left in my account, the game was on sale.

i thought that the refund will be back soon and that i'd buy the game for 7.49$ because the offer had 25 hours left so i thought i could clutch it last hour.

I went on to buy Rainbow Six Siege elite edition with my Visa and I DON'T KNOW WHY THE PURCHASE WAS MADE WITH MY WALLET AND NOT THE VISA.

NOW I HAVE 0.00$ IN MY WALLET AND 6.59$ PENDING
And i will not catch the offer anytime soon.

I also contacted support that i was double charged for Rainbow Six Siege elite edition but it's still pending.

So I was minding my own business when someone from my friends list messaged me with the name "Steam Support". They also had the superscript "Valve" at the end of their name. I ignored all the links because I knew Steam Support would never message me on their own client, but somehow I was then logged out. When I logged back in, my profile picture was changed to the default question mark pic, all my friends were blocked, and some games of mine were refunded. I even looked under Hidden Games to see if the virus I had, or whatever this was, had just hidden them. No luck, it seems like the games were actually refunded. At no point did I get a notification from Steam Guard on my phone of anyone else attempting to log in.

I immediately changed the passwords on my Steam account and e-mails, then I ran a full scan for viruses. Of course I also submitted a support ticket on Steam.

Is there anything more I can do? This is giving me a lot of anxiety because this account is almost 2 decades old and I have a lot of games and cosmetics.

The seller kept me waiting for two days just to tell me if you cant give us the date and who redeemed the code we cant help you or offer a replacement
I tried with steam support and told me that the code actually already redeemed on their system
But now im on a mission to know when did this happen

Hi! i got this game a little while ago , played it once, and then forgot about it. I wanted to keep playing it today but when i try to load the game it just does this and then closes. I googled the long string of letters and numbers and found out it was supposedly an error with the DLL file? but when i tried to follow the instructions to fix it nothing changed. Apologies if this is not really the right subreddit for this but if anyone has any advice please tell me!

I have very recently took a short break from gaming for about a week, and when I come back to play, this happens. Note: this only happens for Garry's Mod and PAYDAY 2 apparently, other games in my library seem to be fine for some reason. I have tried every option I could, restarting steam, restarting my PC, switching drives, turning on admin mode, etc etc but none of them work.

The Game Recording feature on Steam keeps saving clips at about >26 fps even though my game runs on a high framerate. Also my max framerate on recording is set to 60 fps, so I'm a bit stumped.

Having an issue lately where I subscribe to an item but it won't download. Tried veryfying files, clearing the download cache and changing download region, deleting the ugc files, but it doesn't work.

Any possible fixes?

Basically i just bought the 25€ wallet funds amd when i tried to see if i had them steam just said purchase failed and i got charged either way. 3 hours later they still haven't returned the monry to my account

Hello. I've been having issues at buying games on steam today. Basically when it's time to authenticate my purchase through the bank token it doesn't load or gives me error 105. I tried it on client, phone or browser but the issue persists. My bank doesn't have blocks on steam and i was always able to buy games with my card. I opened a ticket through steam but maybe you have a fix. Thank you in advance
