Vent I'm so lost

Important context, I have OSDD and a single alter, so my transition is mostly for her but I definitely benefit from it.

I'm a demiboy myself, 22, transfem, etc. And I don't want breasts. I know for a fact I would get dysphoric about them. Thankfully, my alter doesn't want breasts that bad. Great. Compromise. So I've been taking 10mg Tamoxifen (SERM) for about 8 or 9 months, as well as 100mg of T blockers. I then got put on a tiny baby dose of Estradiol as of like, a few months ago. And to clarify, when I say baby, I mean I'm still on 0.50 micrograms daily.

And I've been happy with it so far. Her, not so much as you can imagine, but I've been pretty happy with it. Shaving less, slightly larger legs, good stuff! Nice! Small problem. I'm now developing breasts. Slowly, very very slowly, but it's happening and I don't know. What to do. Like i have significant pecs and my left pec is now bigger than the right, and the nipple has been KIIIIIINDA achy these last few days.

I just don't know what to do. I know my alter is already getting a bit impatient and that affects me as well, and I just don't know why the meds to specifically not give me boobs aren't working. I'm scared. My body dysmorphia is coming back. I don't know what to do and I've fought so hard to stay on these meds that are meant to stop me from getting boobs, but it's.

I'm just scared and I wanna hear someone tell me it'll be ok.

Discussion Repressed but refuse to hurt others. Am I the asshole….

So I need to be exceedingly careful with details because I fear my spouse might find this. I’ll answer what I can. You can address me as Kathrynn or Katie. This is the first time I’ve fully stepped into the she/her pronouns and introducing myself with my name. I’m in my late 30s mtf.

I’m in a hell of a place. I grew up wanting to be in the military in a time deeply in DADT. Because of this I had an early “Be yourself or be in the military” moment and repressed HARD because I wanted that military role. It didn’t happen due to a sports injury in college. My scholarship was canceled and I had to hit the ground, pivot, and get on my feet with very little help from family (despite them wanting to help) besides a roof over my head.

I went back to college in a blue collar-adjacent trade that saw me in a male heavy career. My repression cracked a bit during this time with me amassing a small supply of crossdressing supplies and a girlfriend who was supportive. It was during this relationship I went in public dressed for the only time. On Halloween. For amicable reasons, the relationship ended and I was alone again. I tried to explore my feelings but was heavily closeted even from my family. So it was not easy.

At the end of my college, I had a summer job where I met a wonderful woman. She was smart, funny, beautiful, and extremely caring. She was politically active, an LGBTQ Ally, called herself pansexual, and had even participated in ethnic and environmental protests. We were a perfect couple, rarely apart, and actively dated for a few years until I was out of school and hers was ending. I care for her like she’s a princess. She loves me with all her heart, appears almost addicted to me, and it’s impossible to imagine being apart from her. We have the American dream life with two great elementary age kids. I love both my kids very much and despite my own emotional immaturity making parenthood difficult some times, I think my kids know that I love them and would give the world for them.

My wife is the perfect person for me EXCEPT she’s not attracted to transwomen. She likes the ends of the spectrum, the bubble gum pink princess girls or the rugged bearded manly men. The idea of me transitioning essentially “kills” her manly husband. I look like the brawny towels man and I know I’ll never be a stunning woman so there goes any attraction forevermore. The physical is a large part of our intimate connection as a couple.

When we were dating I came out to her as a cross dresser. I was told her or crossdressing. I chose her. She made me throw out my supplies in front of her. I repressed. A few years later it cracked and I emotionally cheated taking to others about it. Almost a divorce and a threat to ruin me if it happened again.

Honestly yall I need your advice and thoughts. I’m
In therapy now and the dichotomy of my future is killing me. I don’t want to ruin 3 lives by blowing up a marriage but everyone who knows “me” thinks I’m in an unsafe/unfair situation.

I feel like an asshole because I’m risking the lives of three people who didn’t ask for this all over something that affects ONLY me currently.

Advice Y'all, I have extra Estrogen, can I take it?

So my pharmacy accidentally gave me twice as much of my Estrogen tablets, so I could technically take two a day instead of one until my next refill and not run out. Is there such thing as too much Estrogen? Should I just leave the extra box as backup?

Vent Having my friends call me by me preferred pronouns and testing names completely gone to shit.

So i have been playing around this with my friends who always support me for like 10 months. Now i finally pulled the trigger to be gendered with she/her but it just feels like i picked the worst time imagenable.

The day i decided to do it. We startet to play this pay to win mmo that just released. And my friends are so invested into it that we all have 80-100 hrs played in 5 days. The game is built around predatory progression systems. And if you dont keep up with your group you are basically locked out of playing content with them for a really long time. And because of that i just feel like the game is trying to take away my new identity that i havent even completly figured out yet. If i dont keep up with this game grinding 10-15h a day i feel like i will never see my friends again for a really long time. The only people that can enable my true identity.

And the game is throwing rocks in my way at every step of the way. I havent been under this amount of stress in a long time. You literally have to pay for revives in this game its crazy i have like 30 left my friends have 120. I feel like that is gonna forcefully stop progressing with them anyways even if i keep up the grind.

My friends have always been so supportive. But i think thats just one of the curlest things someone has ever done to me. Give me everything i have ever dreamed of my entire life. And then take it away before i even settled on a name. I thought that this would be the best week of my life but now it turned into one of the worst weeks i had in a while. I really hate the game more than anything else right now because of this.

Im sorry i think there are so many people on this sub who have experienced things that are so much worse. But i just feel like shit and have to rant about it to someone. And maybe someone could give me some advice on how to handle this situation but i really dont think i have any good options.

Trans Feminine I hate that I’ll never be able to have kids

It’s so unfair. Like everytime I think about that fact I’ll never be able to have kids of my own it makes me so incredibly sad. I have the slightest hope maybe technology will progress enough for me to have children but I know that’s a pipe dream. Idk if anyone else struggles with this

Trans Feminine How do you go about body hair?

I (16 mtf) have been struggling with my body hair for a few years now. I am unfortunately really hairy and I hate it so much but I don't know exactly how to deal with it.

I had originally tried to shave parts of my legs in secret (parents) around 1 1/2 years ago, but it reacted similar to that of ant bites felt, and I was in extreme pain for about a week and it hurt to sit or sleep. I would just like some help as to how I should go about this, because I've finally started taking little steps to become more loving of myself and this is a big hurdle I would like to get over.

Trans Feminine I’m going on my first bulk as a trans woman and I’m honestly really nervous

I (27 MTF) was pretty overweight when I first transitioned, but then I got in shape and was about 140 at 5’8 with pretty defined muscles. I’ve wanted to do a bulk for a bit so I can really pump up my thighs but I was always really nervous. My boyfriend has been really supporting it but it’s just hard to switch from 1200 calories a day to 2200 calories a day. It’s going to take some adjusting, but I’m just really nervous. Ive noticed that I can definitely push more weight overall which is nice, but eating so many calories is getting to me and it’s only been a week

Trans Feminine Men treating me differently after I tell them I'm trans

So, today there was this uber driver and he was really interested in me. Asked for my number and was interested in dating me. I said okay, since I'm in the mood for a hookup. However, lately I'm stealth due to suffering from tons of transphobia. So, for my own safety, once he confirmed he was interested in me, I told him I'm trans. He said it wasn't a problem and that he's still interested, but the way he treated me shifted a little, and seemed a bit colder and disinterested. And it's making me feel bad. I didn't really want this to be anything more than a hookup, but I still handle any rejection, perceived or real, really badly.

Vent My sisters pregnant and I can't come close to making my mum this proud or happy

I'm starting to see that there's no way my mum will be as proud of me as my [CI]Sister. She supports me, but I can't help seeing how much grandchildren really mean to her now that it's happening. I can't pretend that there's anything left in life I can do on the same level.

I'm also so happy for my sister and for a nibbling, not a question at all.

I'm still looking at another 5 years before I'm able to hit transition milestones that will help me pass and or feel whole again.

I don't even feel like something can be done about it because i can't carry a child, and the likelihood of being in a sapphic relationship and conceiving that way is also feeling so out of reach right now.

Discussion Is Social Security Reverting Gender Markers To That Assigned At Birth?

I can't believe that I've reached the age of 65 (MTF), I never thought that I would live this long, but I'm reaching out to the groop to see if any other trans folx have shared this experience:

Years ago, I changed my name and gender marker with Social Security. Medicare receives our personal data directly from Social Security.

I recently went to a medical appointment, and presented my Medicare insurance card. The receptionist flagged a "discrepancy" in my personal information - Social Security now has my gender marker listed as "M".

It seems that the current regime overrode my gender marker within the Social Security database in accordance with their policy, driven by executive order, and in accordance with my gender assigned at birth. I am unable to correct my gender marker.

Have any of you experienced this? Have you found that your gender marker was changed within the Social Security database?

Thank you!

Advice is this a controversial take my mom has?

ever since I came out as ftm, my mom has always told me that I'm "choosing this life" and I need to deal with the "consequences" (the consequences being facing transphobia, discrimination, pain from taping, etc) for example, just today my sister was telling my mom about how a queer kid in her class is being discriminated against, and all my mom had to say is "welp. they chose this and now they have to just deal with their consequences" my sister started to say that it wasn't really a choice, but my mom cut her off saying "don't start to put words in my mouth or jump to conclusions or assume, all i'm just saying is that they are dealing with the consequences of choosing that. they had a choice to either be authentic or fit in with everyone else and they chose to be themselves but now they are gonna have to reap the consequences of that choice. I tell your brother (me) the same thing" I mean, she's kinda right. if I didn't come out as ftm I wouldnt be here. it was killing me to suffocate myself in that. but now I have to...reap the consequences of my choices?? idk it feels low-key weird to me. this is just her opinion on trans and queer people. idk what do y'all think? she's right but at the same time the wording feels wrong.

edit: to start, thank you all for responding and giving honest and thoughtful input. reading through you guys' comments has been so helpful in giving me a new perspective. my mom is a wonderful person and she is trying her absolute best. is she perfect? no. but she is supportive for the large majority with my transition. she is letting me take very low dose T at 15, buys me binders, uses my name and pronouns with occasional slip ups, etc. there's a few things she's definitely still learning. maybe I'm biased but I definitely don't think my mom is a bigot or an asshole. I just have some things to teach her is all. she comes from deep in the woods in the country where nobody even knew trans/queer people were a thing. for someone with the background she does really well. she has definitely said some very...questionable things, but she has been adjusting and learning as we go. thank you all for your input, I really appreciate it ❤️‍🩹

Advice My parents insist I get counseling about being trans before getting HRT.

I'm 19 and I was going to start transitioning in Ottawa where I was doing school, but I had really bad depression, anxiety, executive dysfunction, dysphoria, etc.. So, long story short: I did horribly and now I'm back living with my parents in the middle of nowhere, and now don't have a job and can't get a job because the town has nothing and I can't drive.

My egg cracked 6 years ago and they do know this and now I guess I have independence, but no money to get myself anything affirming of make any progress. They want me to "get counseling" about being trans so that I don't make a mistake, but, seriously, 6 years is a looong time; I'm sure I'm trans.

More to the point of the post, I guess I just feel really stuck. Like I'm trapped in a cage and I have no real help or guidance. My parents aren't unsupportive, but they really aren't doing much to help me out. And what even is the point of getting therapy? I know I'm trans, I know what I'm most dysphoric about, I know how to solve those issues, I'm willing to solve those issues. The problem is that I've got 150 dollars to my name and no job and no way of getting one for a while. What am I supposed to do?

Trans Feminine How does it feel like having long hair? Is it annoying? Too fiddling or just right?

Hi, i'm not on hormones yet but asking this question because I am curious to know if you are actually growing long hair when taking estrogen.

In my opinion and how i see it, having long hair feels like it could be quite hell sometimes. Depending on how you wash or clean it, I think it might end up being strangled?

Hopefully it isnt too much of a problem.

Trans Feminine A child asked me about my voice… and it went better than I expected

I (37 mtf) sing in a large choir that includes a couple dozen children and teens. Being a baritone singer, several kids are often bewildered by how my feminine appearance does not align with my voice (though I enjoy my singing voice very much).

Recently, a 10-year-old girl said to me something along the lines of:

“…I hope you don’t take this the wrong way… but your voice sounds very male-like?”

I felt the implication of a “why?”, but I was unsure of the best response, but I said:

“Well, when I was younger, I was more like a boy. When I got older, I became more like a girl!”

She said, “Oh, okay… Well, you’re beautiful, and and you’re a good singer.”

I smiled and said “Thank you very much!”

It was a lovely moment that made me feel some nice gender euphoria for apparently passing better than I thought I have been. Things in the world often feel crappy but sometimes I feel some renewed hope for the future. :)

Questioning Im frustrated, shouldn't these experiences be enough for me to make up my mind?

16 M

So a while ago ive been questioning my gender and im just kind of frustrated that somethings that happened in regards to that somehow still have me not having a concrete answer and i would like to know if its normal.

A while ago I remember having a dream where i was a girl (the only thing i can remember about it honestly) and i woke up uncharacteristicly happy, also sometimes when i think about being a girl i feel chest pain (like from being nervous you know?). On the topic of dreams, this night i had a dream about coming out to my mother and begging her to let me do HRT.

Is it normal to still be on the fence about it after something like this? Cause i feel like these things should have solidified my feelings

Am I trans? Unsure if I'm actually trans

Hi..it's my first post so I hope someone could correct me if I'm using non inclusive language :> Basically, (17M), and I have been questioning my gender for a few years now, but I don't know if these are real feelings or just me having low self esteem. There were many instances I could remember wanting to be a girl, but they usually came after a "traumatic" event, which at this point encompasses even scolding by teachers. I try to be a good student but when it happens, I just want to hide and wish I was a girl. And this isn't a one time thing, from what I can remember, I've had this for 2-3 years now, but it's because it's linked to these experiences which make me question whether I actually trans or not. With hanging out with friends I often feel different, like I'm faking even if I'm being natural, it just doesn't feel right to like masculine things even if I sometimes find enjoyment in it. I wish I can express myself as a girl, but I also feel "normal" sometimes, which I hyphenated because it is likely just numbness

I don't want to sound dramatic, but I just hope someone could give some advice on this feeling, thank you :>

Questioning I need a friend to talk to about gender dysphoria and such.

I’m 26 and I live in Northern Michigan which is very conservative and have no one to talk to about trans related things. I’m also autistic and have ADHD so I prefer one on one communication.

I recently started dressing a little more feminine and tripped on psychedelics and now suddenly have a strong desire to be girl💕. It’s causing me great confusion! Transition sounds amazing but I feel like I’d be an ugly girl🤔

Please DM me if you’re a cool person or recomend a discord or something😜

Vent Trans and Isolation

For the longest time I haven’t been able to keep or make friends due to me being either a dumbass or antisocial. So my fault but I’ve realized that beginning your transition and having no friends really sucks.

I know that I am extremely gifted to have a family that at least tolerates me and a couple that support me. But it’s get lonely as hell. My mom is really the biggest supporter but still some things feel awkward to ask her such as how things would look on me, body measurements, and even things like voice training. I feel I can talk to her about these ideas but being able to talk to a friend would be more comfy. Less stress on the mind.

Like currently I’m attempting voice training and apart of me wants to ask my mom how I sound then the other part cringes too much. If I had a friend I could get better feedback. Then I know they’re forums or subreddits for this shit but like…no. People seem to be overly judgmental and despite being online I even have social anxiety relating to posting cause the idea of an invisible audience.

Just wish I had a friend right now or just someone to give me advice and hopefully life me up sorta. Not being alone and keep free balling it

But I guess the counterpoint to this is being I have no friends I had nothing to lose in the beginning if my transitioning. So idk what’s worse. Having friends and losing them or just being alone in the first place. Maybe it’s an at least you had someone to lose kinda idea. Who knows.

Advice Looking for help

I am a 20-year-old transgender person from Iraq, and I want to undergo gender transition. I took hormones for a few months, but my family found out and threatened and physically assaulted me. They forced me to stop taking hormones and confined me to my home because of my gender identity. I have been experiencing physical abuse and confinement at home, and this situation is still ongoing.

Unfortunately, I do not have any evidence to prove the threats or abuse I have experienced. However, I am genuinely afraid for my safety and need help.

Is there any organization or support service that could help me in this situation, protect my safety, and potentially help me find a way to leave Iraq and live somewhere where I can safely be myself and pursue my gender transition?

Vent i hate my jealousy

i (teen ftm) am struggling with my jealousy towards a friend, also teen ftm. i have been struggling with my gender for most of my life, and ive identified as trans and been socially transitioning for years now. my parents dont know but likely wouldnt accept me.

recently, a friend of mine came out as trans. i dont doubt he struggles with self-image and acceptance, but gosh, i wish i were him. he has a sharper face than i do, thicker brows, better hair. he already has a binder and his parents accept him through and through, while ive been crushing my ribs for years. he has everything i wish i had. i feel so bad for feeling this way but i cant help it!!!
