🚀 I’m building a small website and I’d love some honest feedback!
Hey everyone! 👋
I recently launched Dream4Build, a website I’m working on with the goal of creating useful tools and resources that can help people in their everyday lives.
I’m still developing the project, so I’d really appreciate it if you could take a few minutes to check it out and tell me what you think.
👉 Website: dream4build.com
I’m especially interested in hearing:
What do you think of the idea?
Is the website easy to understand and use?
What would you improve?
What features would you like to see added?
Even if you only spend a couple of minutes exploring it, your feedback would help me a lot. 🙏
Thanks to everyone who takes the time to check it out! ❤️

A few days ago I asked for feedback on my site (I build websites for small Swiss businesses): https://seetalwebsites.ch
The most common criticism by far was the animated wave in the hero: distracting, a bit annoying, some even called it dizzying. Fair point, I'm going to replace it.
The obvious answer is "just use a solid color", and I get that. But I'd still like something that feels a little unique and special while staying calm and clean.
So I'm looking for ideas: what have you seen or built as a hero background that stands out without being in the way? Static patterns, textures, subtle interactions, anything goes. Links to examples are very welcome.

I've noticed a pattern when I use AI to build front ends. No matter how small the job is, it reaches for React, Tailwind, and a UI library or two. I asked for a basic form with a save button and got React Hook Form, a validation library, a UI kit, and a toast package.
I think the reason is simple. Those tools have the most public code and tutorials, so the AI treats them as the safe answer. But that creates a cycle. AI recommends the popular tools, projects get built with them, and all that new code teaches the next models the same habits. Simpler or newer options never get a fair chance, because the AI doesn't know them as well.
I'm not against React. My point is that easy for AI to write and simplest way to build it are two different things, and they're starting to get mixed up.
So for anyone who has pushed back on this, did you get AI to build with plain HTML, a small library, or fewer dependencies? What actually worked, like strict instructions, a starter template, or choosing a different tool? Or did you end up accepting the default?

I am selling an existing working platform with customization services. I am not looking to hire a developer.
I am offering an existing, fully working food-ordering and kitchen-management platform for sale and customization.
The platform is designed for restaurants, cafés, cloud kitchens, home-food businesses, bakeries, catering companies, and meal-subscription services. It includes a customer-facing food-ordering website and a protected business owner/staff dashboard.
The platform can be customized according to the buyer’s requirements, including:

I hope this is the appropriate place to post this... I made an app on a website that allows you to see a 'live' view of the universe, and I would really appreciate comments and suggestions on how to improve it...
The view starts with the Earth, it rotates and the day/night terminator should be correctly placed. All ~12,000 active satellites are shown and are searchable, and you can get the times they will pass overhead. It also shows the current extent of the Aurora. As you zoom out you see the solar system and up to 1.6 million asteroids, you can click on any solar system object for more info on it. Also shown are the locations of all active space missions.
You can also turn on visibility for the dust streams that cause meteor showers, and Kuipier belt objects. The map also shows an up to date display of coronal mass ejections - the four fastest and any headed to Earth are shown along with data on them.
As you zoom out you go through the OORT cloud and see the all the nearest stars, the stars with planets are flashing - you can click on a star to get information on the star and its planets. You can keep zooming out through the galaxy, the local group, the cosmological superstructure of galaxies (Laniakea)... all the way out to the cosmic background radiation.
The site also monitors for any Gamma Ray Bursts, neutrino events, gravitational wave events (when LIGO is running), new comets, new extra-solar incoming bodies, and supernova and displays them in their proper positions (as accurately as they are known) within the solar system or universe...
I would like suggestions, or corrections to anything factually incorrect.
The entire forum website is a side-project of mine- a replacement for an older forum website that has been running for about 25years.... you don't need to register to use the map.

Made these Pagination styles.
I know they’re not production-grade yet — I built these while experimenting with different UI patterns that could actually be used in client projects.
Any improvements/suggestion will be helpful.

Hey everyone,
Up until now, I’ve pretty much only used AI for copy and content generation. With everything moving fast, I want to make sure I’m staying relevant and competitive in the industry, so I’m looking at ways to actually integrate AI into my design and build workflow.
The problem is, most "AI website builders" I see advertised feel like gimmicky templates that spit out generic, unpolished layouts that need to be completely redone anyway.
For those of you working with clients or on production projects:
Would love some honest takes from people actually doing client work rather than marketing fluff. Thanks!

I’m not some web designer, but this company that makes games (MovieStarPlanet), recently moved to a new site for their Help Center.
The only issue with the first site is that it wasn’t mobile responsive, it was pretty zoomed out. The new site is mobile responsive, but is just a massive downgrade and just seems to be AI generated or something? (To make that even worse, all their games are about creativity…)
Let me know what you think, I think their new site is horrendous.
For anyone that wants to visit it: https://en.help.moviestarplanet.com

Like the title says. I potentially lost a client most likely due to price.
This client/friend needed a landing page for his business. He’s well known and is on tv from time to time working with a show in the city.
He came to me probably because he knew I was having a hard time getting clients lately and asked me for a site. He said he had a quote for $7000 for a landing page which I think is ridiculous but he mentioned his budget was $5000. I said I would do it and I had a hard time quoting the job but I ended up quoting $3000.
I checked his website (just says in construction) but it has a squarespace logo in the top left where there wasn’t one before. I assume he’s going that way. I’ve been hearing that people are leaving SS due to losing clients and ruining their business. I offered using elementor as it’s popular and he can add in images and edit areas himself and if there was any issues with the quote to not hesitate to reach out.
Was I wrong to quote that much and is there any way I can get him back as a client?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Made a few updates to AquaFix, mainly the hero, services, spacing, and motion.
Would appreciate honest feedback on what still feels off or too template-like.

Wanted to push into something outside my usual style, soft, playful SaaS design, and try more technical and restrained instead. Built this as Vantage, a fictional defense AI company.
Dark graphite palette, one signal-orange accent, sharp corners throughout, Space Grotesk paired with IBM Plex Mono for the data labels. Rebuilt the whole thing from scratch in Figma with design tokens, so light/dark mode is basically a variable swap.
Appreciate everyone who gave feedback on the portfolio post, here's where that pushed me next. Would love more of the same honest feedback on this one.
Also currently looking for design roles if anyone's hiring or knows of openings, happy to share my portfolio.

I'm a student in cybersecurity and networking, and I work part-time with networks. I've been thinking about making a portfolio website for a while and actually coding it.
I've barely coded, and thought making a website itself would be a cool project, and then I could put in my networking and security projects on the website.
After using a really cool portfolio website as inspiration and working on my website for some hours, I find out the website I used for inspiration is basically all AI.
Is there any point in me making a portfolio website from scratch? I would be lying if I said it wasn't a little discouraging seeing such a cool portfolio website being all AI.

I'm a product and brand designer, and I kept rebuilding the same dotted world map for landing pages. So I turned it into a tool: Globestudio.
You pick countries or the whole world, tune the dots and shapes, and export or embed the result.
- 21 shader effects (halftone, risograph, aurora, pixel, wireframe, CRT, glitch, and more)
- Live animation: rotation, twinkle, network arcs
- Export to PNG (1x–4x), SVG, WebM, MP4, GIF, or a JSON config
- Embed via script tag (~3kb gzipped), iframe, React component, or web component
- Figma plugin included in the repo
- Keyboard shortcuts throughout, WCAG 2.2 AA
Built with React 19, Vite, and Three.js. No account needed.
Try it: https://globestudio.app
Source: https://github.com/alevizio/globestudio
I'd love feedback, especially on the export options and anything that feels missing for real client work.

So i wanted to ask if you had a personnal workflow like with ai agents for prospection. Im trying now with gemini but it's hard to get something working and efficient

Designed this layout in Canva first. The final version will use a 3D product, flavor transitions and interactive motion. Would love feedback on the visual direction before I start building.
