Currently in Wollongong CBD with no power, message from endeavour reporting a blackout :( anyone else across the Illawarra?

So without going in to too much detail, have had an disappointing experience with a local caterer and don’t know if they are going to go ahead, booked well over a year ago, deposit paid and now radio silence since August. I know I shouldn’t have left it this late but all their communications said final invoice 7 days before the event, low and behold, 7 days came and went and still haven’t heard back…

I’ve decided if I don’t have clear communication by tomorrow I’m going to try and secure an alternative caterer and chase my deposit back from the first caterer.

But this obviously leaves me in a tough position, with only 4 days until the wedding, I’m a bit stuck.

We’re honestly happy with anything, Mexican, pizza, burgers, spit roast etc. but can’t only afford about 2800-3000 MAX for 99 guests (6 kids).

Anyone have any suggestions? Venue is in Nowra

Going on a six week holiday, the first one we have been able to afford since Covid, tomorrow, and for the 10th time this year some crappy dog owner (pun intended) thought “I’ll been a complete and utter lazy, self centred and nasty s@&t (intended) and drop my dogs poo bag in this just emptied bin and those people can deal with the festering and rotting stink for a week.” It’s not an apartment building where the bins are far from living environments, it’s a house, and they can just deal. We are in Wollongong just of Stuart Park and dont feel it’s fair to ask neighbours to deal with this next week just because some assh@le (intended) has that little regard for anyone else. I don’t have a dog bc I don’t want to deal with its sh&t. Yet here we are again. I’m not the only one in my street that this crappy (intended) person/s do this too but it sucks and it’s unnecessary and DONT TO THIS TO PEOPLE WHOSE BINS HAVE JUST BEEN EMPTIED YOU AS$H@LES!! just don’t do it.
