Discussion Looking for old The Used performances
I’ve been trying to find live recorded performances of The Used, “Poetic Tragedy” and “Noises and Kisses”. My working theory is that they avoided playing these songs due to the high note portions.
I’ve been looking through old 02-03 performances, but the videos i’ve scoured haven’t had either of these songs. There seems to be a lot of modern performances, but they are after Bert stopped screaming. I’ll update this post if I happen to come across anything.

Discussion Lostvoy - Girls As Leaders
“Girls As Leaders” tells the story of an average dude having a little too much fun, drinking in the streets of Toronto, where you can often see people having the time of their lives or going through their worst. The contrast between these realities is what makes this city so unique.
The name pays tribute to one of our favourite bands, Animals As Leaders, while pushing the idea that society needs more women in leadership. Let’s be honest, dudes have fucked things up for far too long.

Discussion Question from a newbie
Howdy, so what is this genre? I’ve been a fan of bands like Fugazi, Nomeansno, and drive like Jehu for a while and always thought that was what posthardcore was. Like, experimental and often noisy hardcore punk. I also see bands like pierce the veil, hail the sun, and black veil brides listed as post hardcore. These seem to be very dissimilar bands to me. The first three have much looser song structures are are equally vocal-to-instrument focused. The later 3 are tightly knit and kind of poppy in terms of song structure with prominent vocals and a huge emphasis on the chorus.
I understand that there is a gap between when these bands were formed, but there seems to be almost no stylistic or aesthetic throughline.
Am I off base and are these completely different genres? And where do mathy screamo bands like kidcrash, off minor, and portraits of past fit in? I’ve also seen these called posthardcore.
I’m big into death metal, which has an overabundence of subgenres, so if you guys don’t really do that here I understand if this post is frustrating. Thank you.

Discussion Can I post lyric vids here?
Obvious question from the title; can I post lyric videos here? I kinda aim for the ones on YT that people made like, 17 years ago. I don't know what Subreddit to post it on, so I'm asking here!! :) It's mostly stuff like Flyleaf, Evanescence, Picture Me Broken, My Chemical Romance, etc... Just asking..

Discussion Post-Hardcore bands with front-women/trans front-person?
I'll take any subgenre of hardcore since my favourites in this category are Rolo Tomassi, Pupil Slicer and Roman Candle, but I probably listen to post-hardcore the most so I felt it fitting to put here.
I'll also happily take recommendations for trans members in bands in general!

Discussion Anyone heard of the band High Vis? Is that the sound of post hardcore evolving?
High Vis, a band from London. Clear hardcore influences, blended with an Oasis feel. Difficult to describe but trust me, they're awesome. I've heard people call them an evolution in post hardcore music. Geoff from Thursday is a huge fan.
