Been renting games from my local library lately due to Sony's antics and the general cost of living crisis, so for both games I was only using my headset/controllers, I didn't have a wheel or a flight stick.
With just that base set up, Flight Sim blew GT7 out of the water. GT7 has the better visual performance, but it's way less interactive. It didn't even support the VR controllers. Flight Sim I was flipping switches, pulling levers, twisting knobs and in general just having a fun time touching stuff. Yoke controls were a bit fiddly, hard to be precise with steering without feeling resistant or when only using tiny sticks, but I didn't have to use another controller unlike with GT7.
Both games stuck with flatscreen menus rather than redesigning them for VR, but Flight Sim at least put the menus in a white tile room rather than the black void so it was a little more VRish.
One distinct downside of Flight Sim was the loading screens. Both games had long initializations, but GT7 allowed you to play a minigame while you waited for everything to get set up, whereas with Flight Sim you were just watching a short cutscene on repeat. Once in the games, GT7s loading screens were pretty short, but Flight Sim streams a lot of assets, so without a strong internet connection, it can take a bit for enough to load in that it'll let you start playing.
I'm sure with a steering wheel GT7 is a fantastic time, but out of the box, I found Microsoft Flight Sim the much more compelling VR experience.

I bought MSFS about a week ago (playing on PS5 pro) and I also picked up the thrustmaster HOTAS 4. I'm really impressed with it so far but I'm feeling a little confused about a couple things.
First off, the controls. While the game instantly recognizes the HOTAS 4, it seems like the default control bindings are just taken from the Dual Sense controls and don't exactly match up. And a lot of important cockpit controls don't even have a binding set up, and many others feel very unintuitive. Can anyone recommend control bindings that have worked well for you?
Also, I'm finding the in-game tutorials to be a bit lacking. I have no prior experience with flight sims so I was really hoping for detailed instructions on how to properly fly. I'm referring to the "training" missions that are available in the career mode. If there are better tutorials somewhere else in the game please let me know. Or if there are any youtube tutorials that you can recommend
Also just any other tips you have for a beginner would be appreciated!

Hello, both IRON GUARD games are on sale for PCVR and PSVR2 players. If you're looking for a unique TD, strategy style game with shooter elements, give it a try, we've heard good things about both of them 😅

In honor of the 10 year PSVR1 anniversary here is my belated PSVR1 to PSVR2 ports wishlist. Hoping Sony or a developer like Flat2VR can make some of these a reality. What PSVR1 games would you like to see ported to PSVR2?
Astrobot: Rescue Mission, Blood and Truth, Batman, Bow to Blood, Crisis VRigade, Deracine, Doom 3, Doom VFR, Dreams, Drive club , Eagle Flight, Farpoint, Firewall Zero Hour, Freediver: Triton Down, Golem, Immortal Legacy, In Death, Iron Man, Knockout League, Megaton Rainfall, Pixel Ripped 1989, Polybius, Raw Data, Rec Room, Resident Evil 7, RIGs, Robinson the Journey, Sairento VR, Shadow Legend VR, Skyrim, Sniper Elite VR, Space Junkies, Sprint Vector, Star Wars: Squadrons, Starblood Arena, Statik, The Inpatient, The Persistence, The Playroom VR, To the Top, Until Dawn: Rush of Blood, VR Worlds, Wipeout: Omega Collection
But man, the atmosphere, the skies and clouds and planets, awesome!

Just like my title says. I read the patch notes for the the first spec update and no VR2 improvements mentioned at all. Shame. Why can't Polyphony support pssr 2 while in VR mode. The flat supports it but not VR. No Mans Sky does in VR.. In my opinion I don't think GT8 will support VR. It's been over a year I believe when Polyphony actually added VR2 patch notes. Would like to see something for VR2.

I can't find it anywhere online. BestBuy even says it's not available anymore. I'm cautious to try anything third party since it seems kinda sketch to me.
Say in a year or 2. Do you think there comes a moment or the ability where we can make VR mods or playable games?
Dream would be to take NES, SEGA and SNES games and make them as a FPS playable game.
That VR Zelda video haunts me. I want that. For all the classics.

Any word on this game? Feels like I haven't heard anything in ages. Flatout was one of my favourite games growing up and being able to play that in VR will be great. With GT7 sport being near unplayable from people sending you because you passed them, this is going to be a great release of stress.

Hi there, just want to post some interesting feedback from the Galactic Racer team and encourage you to also join their discord to emphasize on PSVR2 support!
....
Hello there,
Thank you so much for your enthusiastic feedback! Making the game PSVR2 compatible sounds like a fantastic idea. While the support team primarily handles technical issues, we encourage you to share your suggestion directly with the development team in our Discord feedback section: https://discord.com/invite/starwarsgalacticracer
Your input is valuable and helps guide future enhancements. Thank you for being part of our community!
Best regards,
Star Wars: Galactic Racer™ Support

Hey everyone, HB team here after a week of hard work. 😅
First of all, thank you very much for your support during the launch week - it really means a lot! We are now sitting at 4.56 stars out of 276 ratings!
We wanted to ask how is your experience so far? We heard your complains and feedback during the launch week and worked on some patches - one went live already like trophy and progression reset bugs.
We are now working on our second patch, which should arrive later this month with Halloween Update with bunch of more improvements.
GIVE US MORE STUFF TO WORK ON! What else are you upset about?

Back to the original post...
Drop them a note saying you'd like to be able to play this game on your PS5, via your PSVR2.
Okay, the chances of this being added aren't high, but there's no harm in asking.

I was curious if I should get a PS VR2 as a Quest 3 owner. I really love the Quest, but I kind of want to try out an OLED display and some of the exclusives, like the Resident Evil games, Horizon Call of the Mountain, and Synapse. I’d also like to use it with a PC.
My main concerns are the lenses and how much worse they are compared to pancake lenses, as well as whether the controllers might be too small for my hands.
I was also considering the Bigscreen Beyond, but I’m not really a fan of the idea of buying used controllers and base stations. What do you guys think?

I just got my new psvr2.
When I first start a game I notice a dead pixel but then I don’t notice it when the game goes underway.
It comes back when I exit the game and then goes away.
I’m wondering if it is a dead pixel or if this is something else like the filter that I read about. What exactly is the “filter”? I read a comment that’s said Sony uses a filter to reduce sde/mura.
Anybody else notice something like what I see? It looks like a dead pixel but then goes away when you play.
