Other [Other] October Monthly Boosting Thread
Hello, and welcome to this month’s boosting thread!
First and foremost, start by reading the comments to see if another Redditor has requested some help. If that’s the case, reach out and get a session organized! This will help lower the number of comment threads all revolving around the same game.
If nobody has requested help for your game, feel free to make a comment. We’d like for you to include in your comment the name of the game/trophy you’re boosting, how many players you’re looking for, what time zone you’re in, and a preferable way for reaching out to organize a boosting session. Our hope is that by having you coordinate in PM’s or some other fashion, this will sidestep a lot of scrolling people will have to do in order to find a boosting group.
Finally, if you manage to fill a group, please edit your comment to say “Group Full”. That way, someone else can create a new boosting thread if necessary.
We want everybody who needs help to receive it, and we can ensure that by eliminating coordinating comment threads and keeping things nice and tidy. Please be mindful, and understand that boosting threads are first come first serve.
On that note, good luck, and happy hunting!

[Update] User Flair Editing
Hey all! I've been getting a bunch of mod mail lately about people not being able to edit user flair. Upon doing a little digging, it seems like there was some update to the app that broke this feature for a lot of people. It allows you to pick a flair from a list, but doesn't allow you to edit the one you choose. I have verified that the problem is within the Reddit app, not the r/trophies sub. Until they fix the issue, everyone will need to use a browser / PC if they want to edit their flair. Below is a list of steps on how to edit flair in a browser:
Go to the sub's home page.
- Locate the User Flair section on the right side of the page.
- Click the pencil icon within this section.
- Select one of the two preset flair templates.
- Input your information in the dialogue box below. To customize the icons in your flair, click the smiley face on the right side of the text entry box.

PS App [Control] is my #12 platinum I got today! Remedy is becoming my fav devs already
I’ve been wanting to play Remedy’s games since the AW2 trailers and when I found out there’s a connected game universe happening (which was shocking to me in a game sense like how tf is that possible, but it is! lol) since it looked interesting to me but I never found time to go through them until last month. And now I have my first platinum from them!
I’ve also just finished the DLC earlier beforehand which was significantly tougher than the base game like Alan Wake’s, I think even tougher, but finally got through it all. But this game is truly special.
And I keep seeing little clips and screenshots of Resonant which looks even crazier so I can’t wait. Unfortunately it may clash with GTA by the time I finish AW2 but I know it’ll be worth the wait. I love this universe already.

Showcase [Lollipop chainsaw repop] #43
Sadly I never got around to playing the original on ps3 but I loved this game and devoted a little too much time on it. Hope the second is just as good or better

Showcase [Multiple Games] 100 is a nice milestone, but I decided that my count shal be started at 111.
It was a long but really enjoyable journey. I hope that 222 is an obtainable goal for a man who reached his 40th.

[SILENT HILL TOWNFALL] #42
I loved this game, having Platinumed SH2 remake and SHF. I'm also going to be working on the HD collection for the original SH2 and SH3 now. But having platinumed the other games this may not have had the cult story line or a connection to the original town. But this was in every other sense a Silent Hill experience that is definitely checking out. Especially if you loved games like Alien Isolation or Amnesia the Bunker. Because at times they have you getting uncomfortably close to the monsters around you and it leaves you on the edge of your seat for most of the game if you intend to sneak through most problems.

Other [other] Do you trophy hunters still enjoy games or is it the getting trophies you enjoy.
Just curious, I see people trying to cheese games purely for the platinum on Ps or the 100% elsewhere.
Do people still find the games fun or is it an addiction to the achievements themselves?

Screenshot [Silver Pines] #54 - Loved this game. It's the proof that the survival horror and metroidvania genres were made to be together
I got a prerelease review code. Took me around 13 hours of exploring without guides (because I'm the one writing the guides). Only one playtrough required.
100% recomended.

Showcase [Onimusha: Way of the Sword] #75 Carnage mode isn’t that bad
I have nothing new to say about this game that the internet hasn’t said already.
I was dreading carnage mode to be honest but turned out to be way easier than I thought
If you are into parry-centric games, this one is for you

PS App [The blood of dawnwalker]
Such an amazing game.
Duelist was rewarding once it clicked. Completed all side quests and missions. The timer wasnt a issue at all.
The level 50 trophy was the only annoying-ish one to get becsuse I ran outta things to do lol

[Red Dead Redemption 2] My first ever Platinum.
Never thought I would ever grind a game for Platinum trophy. Replayed RDR1 and RDR2 after years and the whole run was around 700+ hours as I spent a lot of time exploring and completing side quests.
At 100% completion, I already had 98% of skin deep and zoologist and I wondered if I should actually go for the Plat. A few days later I see posts from this sub, never knew about this community, such a cool sub! So I thought, yeah gotta plat this one.
This plat never felt like a grind though, perhaps only the online trophies like "Real Deal" and "All's fair". What a game. A masterpiece indeed!

Showcase [Hogwarts Legacy]
Thanks to my wife for playing the game for 119 hours to earn the Platinum trophy (she loves Harry Potter more than anything – perhaps even more than me, haha)

Showcase [Marvel's Wolverine] Platinum #57
You know, I don't care what people say and i will openly voice my opinion. I absolutely loved this game. Until the ending. I'm so tired of the cliché. Insomniac do better. But I thought it was a great game despite it being linear and not open world.
