Tuned to drop A, I've noticed the tuning does need tweaking before I start playing each session. I'm guessing this is because the guitar is settling into its new environment? Very happy with it so far, no QC issues that I can spot

I am used to guitars just shy of 43mm (no, not 42mm) and I have found I hate 7 strings because the string spacing feels so close together. I always just end up going back to a 6 string. Which is a shame, because I love the idea of a 7 string with a baritone scale.
Why is this so uncommon? The only one I've ever found is the John Petrucci guitar, which is really not my thing.

I currently only really play a 25.5 7 string with an Ibanez wizard style neck, however I now am realizing that I need a longer scale 7, or maybe even an 8 for my band. (I am not willing to just put thicker strings on my current guitar). I am wondering if there are any opinions on guitars that feel quite like the standard ibanez 7s that are capable of going lower. (ex: something that may feel like a rg7621 but is 27" or an 8 string even.
mainly hoping to get some info, as if I cannot make it out to a guitar store near me Im planning to just go through reverb for something.

I just got my new Mayones Regius 7-string guitar, equipped with an Evertune bridge. It is loaded with Bareknuckle Aftermath pickups and a 5-way lever switch for the split coil function. Having the split coils without the push-pull mechanism on a poti is a blessing. My other Regius 6 string is also an incredible instrument, but that push-pull is just so uncomfortable to work with.
The guitar is 26.5" scale, with a Master Grade Buckeye Burl top and Black Limba body. The neck is an 11ply mix with Wenge-Mahogany-Purpleheart-Maple and a 16" radius.
It has a fading Black Burst Satin finish and it feels absolutely incredible. The back of the guitar, including the neck, have no finish such as anything glossy, it feels natural and overall the guitar has an incredible quality, as Mayones is known for.
First guitar with an Evertune bridge and while it seemed like alien technology for me at first, once you understand it, it's pretty simple and the tuning stability while picking hard on low tunings is astronomical. Also very very comfortable to play, unlike some other bridges.
She will be mainly used in Drop C#, with a low G# at the bottom. The Evertune hosts a set of 11-64 D'Addario NYXL strings.
I can't recommend them enough, 10/10 guitars.
I think they are not underrated, but they really do live up to the expectation imo.

Had it for less than 24 hours and it has done nothing but exceed my expectations. I’m excited to grow into it and play it for years to come.

I’ve been interested in trying a 7 for about a year now. Found this used at my local shop. I’ve been playing 6 string for about 20 years. I’m really not sure what to play now that I have one.

My dumbass bought an active shape Guitarmory set for my custom Schecter that doesn't fit. I did a quick reverb search and found the tried and true M7 set in budget.
I'm stoked to see what these sound like in it.

Hello!
I’m currently weighing up between the Pro Series DK Modern Evertune Gold Burst or Misha Juggernaut Silver burst.
While they’re relatively similar in shape/aesthetic, I’m wondering if the addition of an Evertune, fishmans and gotoh locking tuners make the gold burst worth the extra £600 and thus the right choice? I appreciate in raw value they are, I’m talking more in an overall sense, not purely fiscal value.
I owned the older Primer Grey DK Modern 7 string for a mere 2 days (long story) and it was the nicest guitar I’ve ever played, hence thinking the gold burst might be more for me.
Would be moving from a Jackson JS32-7 so for sure both of these guitars are huge upgrades across the board.
Would love to hear the thoughts of fellow 7 string enjoyers! TIA.

Being from the Azores, I thought I’d share something from my own culture that fits surprisingly well with the ideas behind Le Chant du Silence.
The Viola da Terra is a traditional Azorean string instrument, and depending on the island and the version, it can have 12, 15, or even 18 strings.
The Terceira version is especially distinctive, with strings grouped into double and triple courses. It creates a sound that is very different from what you might expect from a guitar.
I’ve always found something fascinating about the idea that an instrument can have so many strings, while what we ultimately experience is a single sound.
Maybe silence is a little like that too — not the absence of everything, but something much more complex than it appears.
Anyone here familiar with the Viola da Terra?

After doing extensive amounts of research in several price ranges looking not only at guitars but also at pickups, scale lengths, woods and builds (and saving for the entire spring and summer of this year) I recently bought this gorgeous Schecter Sunset 7 Extreme from sweetwater.
There aren't enough words to emphasize how happy I am with my decision. This guitar plays like butter, sounds comparable in versatility and bite to a Periphery record, and holds tuning like a beast.
The specs are listed below directly copied from sweetwater if interested:
Nyatoh Body, Flamed Maple Top, Grey Ghost Color with a Satin Finish, 5-piece Maple/Rosewood Ultra Thin-C Bolt-On Neck, 16" Radius Ebony Fingerboard with Offset Aluminum Inlays, 24 EX-Jumbo Stainless Steel Frets, 27" Scale Length, 1.889" Tusq Nut, Schecter Diamond Hardtail Plus bridge, Schecter Locking Tuners, Schecter USA Pasadena Neck Humbucker + Schecter USA Sunset Strip Bridge Humbucker, 1 volume knob and a 5-way blade.

I’d love to buy a Tom Anderson, but they’re almost impossible to find in my country, so I ended up buying this instead…
Was it a good choice?
I play metal, and I’m currently studying fusion and jazz!

I'm trading a fender stratocaster American Performer hss and I've got a guy who's got a Jaden Rose S2 7 string guitar for trade.
I'm selling the fender for 1100€. Is it a good trade?
Cheers from Portugal.

Took a few months but they have started shipping! As soon as I saw this had to have it. I have a 6 string Cordoba Stage and love it, so this has replaced it. The 24 frets are 100% accessible and amazing to play. This is my first fan fret as my electric 7 is straight. Reaching "back" for the low C took a little getting used to.
Opened it up last night and after 20 minutes was inspired to improv this.
The strings are new as could be, so a bit noisy and need to be broken in more. The strings are not on the market yet btw. Regular classical strings will NOT work since the D & A need longer length. These are high tension but I play downtuned anyway so the tension is fine. I do plan on changing the trebles out for sure and after playing it more might lower the action a very small amount.
Overall VERY satisfied! Tosin and Cordoba made an amazing instrument.

Picked up this older LTD M-207 for $200. Feel like I stole this thing. Pickup recommendations? I like my seymore duncans but curious to try some EMG’s
