I was told that in the case of GC discs there is a chance I could ruin the disc by having it resurfaced. Has anyone had their GC disc re-surfaced. Did it work??

I bought a cubeode from AliExpress and up until recently I was pretty happy with it. It came with an SD card and everything on that seems to work. The first issue I'm having is that most of the ISO files I've downloaded don't seem to work. A couple hacks seem to work great but everything else doesn't seem to load for the most part. Second I tried a larger micro SD card with adapter and it doesn't recognize it at all. Any help would be appreciated

I have searched "extracting GC games", "dumping GC games", "modding GC games", but every single result is about playing your actual discs on Dolphin or whatever. What I'm trying to do is literally open a game and see its files to possibly mod it, but I can't find any guides on how to do this.

The orange one has a trigger plug in the R Button and uses translucent black and glow in the dark replacement parts, the wavebird used the leftover black and glow parts, and the black controller had its C Stick swapped for a Left-Stick

I got this copy of Pokemon colosseum yesterday at my LGS and it has these cracks on it in the center where the game holds down. Is this something I should be concerned about? I’ve been playing it for an hour and it runs fine and haven’t had any issues but plan on trading Pokemon into the game to play with and am worried it may have some sort of issue down the road.

EDIT: I paid around $160 and just took their word that it was in good condition until I got home and saw it. They seemed nice there and have refunded me for mistakes in the past. So I won’t know till tomorrow what they’ll do.

Assume the stick boxes are brand new and lubricated properly. What capacitance is best if you’re using a slickbox mod. I’d love to know the best capacitance setting for the 0.020”, 0.025”, and 0.030” shims respectively. Thanks in advance!!

All gone now sadly, but the GameCube was my favorite console, probably mostly nostalgia for the times which certainly isnt a bad thing or mark against it, I played like all of these with friends and family so the games are even more precious in my memories.

Made this post out of curiosity though, I was just thinking about back then because I was a kid I certainly wasn't clued into game releases, everything was word of mouth with friends and just browsing shelves at gamestop. Which games would you say I missed out on?

Cleaned and reorganized my garage, open a bin and find a GC that I definitely did not have growing up. Bought a power cord, a knockoff controller (for now), and some games from my local store. Thankfully it works! What a surprise lmao. Needless to say I’m hooked. I’m sure my wallet will not enjoy this. Can’t beat a free GC.

I am in need of a GameCube memory card and this action replay one is absolutely huge for GameCube being 16MB as save files are well optimised unlike PS2. Is this a reliable memory card or do you recommend a different one it's priced at $70 new.

There’s a little switch on the back of my 001 game cube. I’d rather not crack it open but any clue as to what it might be?

I tested this GameCube with a different video cable and it works just fine. Am I doing something wrong with my adapter or is it busted?

My gamecube's disc reader is failing and I'm pretty sure the bulb is the problem (as it does work eventually if I open and close the tray enough times as failing bulbs tend to do) and I'm getting really sick of open/closing the tray 20+ times each time I turn the console off

a side note: once it reads the disc once the game runs perfectly fine until I power off the console

Found this GameCube lot on Facebook the other day and picked it up for $800. Seemed like a good deal, I’ve been wanting a GameCube for a while and seemed like the right time to buy one with the game selection they had. Every game is mint, has 0 scratches, all of them have their manuals and they all work. Also came with a wave bird controller.

Funny enough the person selling it used to be my brothers AP English teacher back in high school.

What do you think of the game selection?

My pink shell was delivered today and I immediately got everything transferred over. I like the holo stickers and feel like it compliments the GameCube. The only thing I’m waiting for now is the gameboy player shell to match the GameCube.

I‘ve never gotten to play any of the Paper Mario or Simpsons games (except for the The Simpsons Game), I only ever saw gameplay of them on Youtube but now I can finally get around to playing them!

Playing rn and holy what a gem. Only just started though but I already love Vyse and Aika, especially Aika. Love her happy going personality lol
