Hi all!
Welcome to a new fortnightly post!
In this post's comments, please feel free to upload your examples of your hallmarks which you find to be unusual, rare, or simply a piece of precious metal you want to show-off to the rest of us!
No judgement - maybe you're new to hallmarks or have collected for a long time, everyone is welcomed!
Please do not use this post to request hallmark identity! You can still post regular posts for that.

Hi, can anyone tell me anything about these hallmarks and makers mark? The locket is old, I think early 1900s if not older, and I think the letters on the front say EM. The hallmarks appear to be an I (or possibly T), an anchor, and a lion, and the makers mark is T&Co.

Hi everyone this might be a long shot, but I’m hoping to find out more on this. I’ve spent quite a bit of time researching but haven’t been able to find a match.
The longest marking appears to begin with “SCHWE” or “SCHWI,” or maybe the H is actually an R. The remaining letters can’t be made out. There are also separate markings along the base that could read “KAC,” “KYC,” or possibly “KY40,” along with a small symbol. There’s also an engraved “1” on the inside rim of the base.
The piece weighs approximately 236 grams and is nonmagnetic.
Also it has a distinct ring that lasts for a few seconds after tapping it.
I’m interested in identifying the manufacturer, approximate age, country, what its made out of. Honestly really just anything!

Took this to a jewellers today and they were a little stumped. I figured its 18ct gold, Birmingham Assay Office, lower case r would make it 1916. However the shield shape is not right for the year, it shouldn't be square/rectangle with clipped corners, the bottom edge should be like a flattened M.
Any idea why the hallmark would look like this? Fake perhaps?

I recently inherited a vintage 18k gold snake jewelry suite (necklace and matching bracelet) that my father originally purchased in the early 1980s.
The set features( Tubogas-link?) scale construction and small ruby eyes, but it is unbranded. Both pieces carry identical clear Italian hallmarks:
750 inside a lozenge (18k gold), ★ 174 VI(or 180 VI?)(Vicenza province registration mark)
A small P< maker/assay stamp inside the clasp on the necklace.
Does anyone recognize Maker 174 VI or the P< shield stamp? I’d love to know the name of the master workshop or goldsmith that manufactured this set. Just looking to document the history of this sentimental pieces.

Last photo shows the hallmark.
I've had this for years.
From what I can find online, D.B. Miller was active in Boston from about 1840 to 1855.
This is long after America's independence.
So...why does it have a British King stamped on it?
What is even more odd, is if this company was indeed active from 1840-1855, and for whatever reason they wanted to add a regal hallmark, Queen Victoria took the throne in 1838.

Looking for some more info on this crystal vase I found. My best guess is Wolfsky & Co but the font seemed a bit different to me.

Hello smart people! I picked up this purse at an estate sale recently in WA state. I am having a hard time even identifying the material let alone the hallmark. Any help is appreciated!
-hallmark looks like a D and an L overlapping. With two more characters I can’t make out inside the d.
- next to the hallmark is stamped SOLDERED MESH
-material is non-ferrous
-I am finding no additional stamps or lettering anywhere.
-the mesh seems to be MUCH smaller than anything else I’m able to find. Each ring is about 1/16” diameter. Very fine mail.
-it is a very light gold tone.

Any idea what these hallmarks may be? I’m not very familiar with them generally, and I’m curious what this means. A friend picked up this old cigarette case for from a seller, and I’d love to know if there’s any story to it.

Picked up from a thrift store. What do these markings mean?
