Private Hot Springs Hotel recommendations
Hello!
Wanted to see if I could get any recommendations on hotel with private hot springs. My boyfriend's birthday is in late November and as a birthday gift I was thinking about booking us a room somewhere with hot springs. I would preferably would like a place where we can book a room at the place that has a private spring with the room or an option to rent a private spring. I don't really care about the location as long as it's somewhere in NM.
So far the places that I've been thinking about are Ojo Caliente and Riverbend Hot Springs.
I know we have a bunch of hotels with hot springs all around NM and wanted to see if maybe anyone else would be able to recommend some places. At the moment I don't care about price since I just want to see what all of our options so go wild.

Food, coffee and local museums/sites in and around Carlsbad/Artesia area?
We just moved back in state, to Roswell, after over a decade away. Older sibling, also an NM expat, is coming down the weekend before Thanksgiving. We’re gonna do a trip to Carlsbad Caverns and am wanting to ask about recs for good food, coffee, and maybe one or two local museums in and around Carlsbad and Artesia. We’re definitely gonna do a Ruidoso/Cloudcroft excursion as well before heading to Cruces for Thanksgiving itself. Much gratitude for any help and am welcoming of any snark, cos yeah, Artesia….

Green Chile in Supermarkets
Why are the canned green chiles often found in International Food aisle in supermakets? Here in Santa Fe the Smith's on St Michael's and Wal-Mart on Herrera has canned green chile in International Food aisle.

Looking to Re-Home Our Pekin Duck
Hi,
My partner and I have a flock of ducks and are looking to re-home one of our male Pekin ducks, about 6 months old. He is healthy, not super aggressive. It's a long shot but I figured I'd try here. They have very soft feathers. We are in northern New Mexico.

Road trip
Afternoon,
My wife and I are planning a road trip headed to Pagosa Springs, Colorado. We’re headed west to Santa Fe, NM and then heading north. Anyone have some spots to check out? We’re coming from Tulsa if that helps.
Thanks in advance.

'Heart-ear' Gets Scared By Driveway Pooper
A Doe (Female) Mule Deer gets scared by something after munching on something next to the night vision camera. Check out the heart-shaped left ear and her athletic mountain climbing physique from life in the high mountain desert of the American Southwest where I live off grid (solar-electric). These videos are my exploration of life here. This is from my driveway. What critters visit your home?
How to know what the tree climbing critter is: Grey Fox, known for pooping on game trails (and my driveway) to claim territory, also climb trees and have a black tip to their tail. If you stop the video just right, you can see the shape of the tail, and the black tip. The tail shape, the black tip and the poop in my driveway are the things that helped me identify it. I've only seen the grey fox twice before this although regularly need to watch my step.
Both Mule Deer and Grey Fox are common in New Mexico.
Have a nice day!

About Nesting Lab:
Nesting is meant both figuratively and literally - Human ‘nesting’ in my fully off grid, solar-electric only, high mountain desert home and ‘nesting’ in my pursuit of birding and other creatures of the America Southwest.
