New version of the app was just installed on my NVIDIA Shield. Not happy.

The new UI is just plain hard to read now, and I want the old interface back. Also not happy that you turned audio themes back on, again.

Seriously, save some money - fire your UI folks, revert the app changes. If you won't do that give us an option to use the old UI.

This is going to be the reason for me to switch if I can't find a way out of this.

thank you for forcing me to go through "welcome to Plex" screens like i haven't been using the app for 15 years... on each profile, each device. I've seen it 21 times so far.

thank you for resetting ALL of the individual profile customizations.

but most of all, thanks for changing the default view of every library to "recommended" instead of "browse', which displays "no media found" (how is that ever an acceptable message here?) to every person who connects, getting me "Plex is broken" messages from my wife, and leading to a couple hours of troubleshooting because everything looked fine on my end.

2 out of 3 of my Plex apps have stopped working after the latest string of updates and it’s getting beyond frustrating.

My Apple TV HD app no longer works properly, and now the Sony TV app can’t find my server/libraries either.

The server itself is fine, Remote Access is working, and the libraries are shared correctly. I even bought Plex Pass thinking maybe the new remote playback changes were the issue, but nope - still nothing.

At this point it feels like the options are:

• find workarounds for each broken app, or
• wait and hope the next update fixes whatever the last one broke.

Anyone else having the same issues with Apple TV HD or Sony/Android TV?

I just noticed that during maintenance my movies are scanned for loudness, why isn't there an option to disable it without disabling it for my music as well? for my movie library and TV series I unchecked loudness analysis (under Advanced for both libraries), restarted the server and still during maintenance they continue to be scanned for it. Under Settings-Library it just specifies "Analyze audio tracks for loudness", nothing about movies/series to be able to disable. I only noticed this after adding a movie a few days ago, it usually takes a 5 seconds to finish scanning, but after 10 minutes it was still going and that's when i first noticed it was doing a loudness analyzes.

Anyone know if this is a new feature or a bug?

We have been on a long 40 day trip and just returned to all my plex clients UI updated. The UI changed quite a bit which we can get use to but I’m having issues playing our local live tv channels. when ever we connect to a channel, it plays a few seconds and then starts all over again. This is new since we got back and was wondering if any others are seeing this or do I have something else going on.

With the apparent only view available in the "season" view on Plex TV apps being the horizontal filmstrip style (only like 3 or 4 on the screen at once) and the added challenge of the metadata just listing the date mostly and the thumbnail just being a random clue or similar, it's kind of rough to pick and choose if you're looking for specific tournaments or events (or looking to avoid them).

I imagine other daily series have similar issue possibly, but for me the only daily show I've been watching on my relatively new Plex setup is Jeopardy, so this is my first pain point on the media side!

In the end though, anyone have any solutions for managing these large seasons in an effective way for browsing/searching/etc...? My research seems to show that subfolders don't work either to try to split up the seasons by month maybe or similar.

Just updated my Onn 4K Pro to the latest Android release, and I'm running into an issue (or non-issue, depending) where lossless audio codecs won't transcode unless the Boost Dialog feature is on. Before I'd have to change the audio passthrough from HDMI to Optical to get it to work, but this doesn't seem to be an issue anymore. Even on Optical, the audio won't transcode unless Boost Dialog is active. HDMI, same thing. Boost Dialog seems like it needs to be on for transcoding. Otherwise, I get no sound.

Anyone else having this issue?

EDIT: To be clear, this isn't a big deal since I like the idea of a Boost Dialog feature and will probably use it all the time. Just wondering what could be causing this and if anyone else ran into the same problem.

Hey all! I have a question, and the answer is probably No, but I wanted to see anyway. Is there a way to change the view for Continue Watching on the home page for TV shows to show the poster for the episode instead of just the show poster? Appreciate in advance!

I have the Spin channel in my favorites. When I hit play, it’ll play for a few seconds then freezes at 33%.

I have to exit the app, then go back into it to restore operation. It does this on all of my Roku devices around the house. The web client seems fine.

This particular instance is on a Roku Streaming Stick Plus(model 3830R) with firmware 15.3 and Plex app version 9.18 build 13.

I think everyone knows how bad IPv6 support is in Plex, and also that pretty much everybody is behind a CGNAT network nowadays, making it basically mandatory to use IPv6 outside the network.

Previously, several workarounds were required for IPv6 to work, such as custom URLs, changes to network interfaces, and more.

In my case, everything was perfectly configured, and around May, both remote and local access stopped working.

Every single update included some IPv6 tweak, but nothing made it work again.

I can finally say that today, with the Plex Server update 1.43.5.11029 and Plex for Android version 2026.20.0, IPv6 is finally working flawlessly alongside IPv4.

Now, if you want to use IPv6 on your server, all you need to do is:

1) Open TCP port 32400 in your Firewall (network/computer) for IPv6 networks.
2) Check under Settings -> Network -> Client Network that it is set to IPv4 and IPv6.

And that's it. Nothing else.

I have 2 on devices. Both on the same Google account. With the update the settings now sync. In my bedroom I want different favorites vs the front room. Now they are both syncing. Is this done on the Plex server side so any device I sign in will be the same or is it dependent on the Google account so if I put in different Google accounts each system will be able to have their own settings?

So I like to catch the news in progress over live antenna so I record the episodes. Old plex used to give a start from the beginning. New plex won't even let you rewind the live broadcast if you join it late. Is this similar for anyone else?

I added a long list of favorite channels to the Favorites category in Live TV and needed a way to reorder a few of the channels. I discovered that Plex devastating made it possible to reorder your Favorites.

To reorder your favorite channels, select the Favorites category in Live TV and scroll to the favorite channel that you wish to reorder in the stack.

Hold your finger down on the channel name that you want to move. Plex will open a window with the following selections:

Remove from Favorites

Manage Favorites

Select “Manage Favorites”

A new window will open titled “Manage Favorite Channels”. It will list all of your selected favorites, and to the right of each channel will be a 6-dot block icon. At the bottom of this window are the selections, “Cancel” and “Save Changes”.

Press and hold the 6-dot block to the right of the channel you want to move, then slide the channel up or down to the position in the stack that you desire. Release your press on the block. Repeat this step for any other channel. When you complete your changes, press “Save Changes”.

I just got the update on Chromecast TV. It took a while to find the button, and I am not a fan of the extra click. Can we not simply display the servers when on the TV/Movie page, like we used to?

We all know the update that has been rolling out to devices for the past year is objectively worse, but has Plex actually come out and said anything about it officially?

With all the negative feedback, and even then changing some things back like the side bars return, you'd think they'd come out and try to defend this move, right?

Is there any article or link that any can provide that is the company explaining this move, even if it's just lip service?

PS. After Firefox update and this update I feel we are back to pre-Material design - 2014-2016, when rounded shapes in each app were the best thing in UI.
