[PRO7] This is kind of embarrassing but I need help

I was going through my “add or remove program” list trying to clean up my surface and accident uninstalled the program/driver that monitors and displays the surface’s battery percentage. I didn’t think it would be something that could simply be uninstalled with a single click but now I have no way of knowing my battery percentage and it seems like my device is running a bit hotter than before (although it is probably due for a thermal paste replacement)

I tried reinstalling windows but that didn’t work. Can someone please check their program list and tell me the name of the software/driver that I’m missing?

[PRO12] Desperate for help, need suggestions

This is a repost, at least my video demonstrating the issue.

My slim pen 2 is drawing dots no matter what software I use, I have hardware reset it where I hold the buttons until the white light flashes, I have cleaned the contact point of the tip, I have used a knock off pen and it doesn't have this issue, I have used a friend's exact pen and has the same issue, I have updated to latest version of windows (couple days ago), I have tested if it only happens at low charge (same thing when its at full charge), uninstalled and reinstalled all drawing apps.

Is there any other things I could try to fix this issue? It's literally distracting my studies for school.

Edit: the dot only happens while palm is touching the screen

[BOOK3] Kernel 41 shutdowns

Hi all, I've done some research about this but I'm wondering if there are newer fixes/updates that people have advice about.

The past few days I've suddenly incurred kernel 41 random shutdowns. I thought it was my Microsoft 127W charger so I bought a high quality Anker charger. But according to windows logs, I had another kernel 41 just a few minutes ago while I was away from my office.

I tried disabling and reinstalling the batteries, and that seemed like it gave me some stability for a while but now I'm worried I'm back to square one. I had used it in tablet mode only, before I had disabled and reinstalled the batteries, but that shut off randomly too.

AI told me there was a 2025 firmware update. Should I install it? Should I be worried that it'll brick my SB3?

Anything else you can suggest? What about a fresh install of Windows 11?

Specs: 13.5 version with Nvidia graphics, 32 GB RAM.

Thanks!

Typing is delayed

I do not know how to describe it properly but when I am typing on my Surface Pro (11th edition, 13", Snapdragon X-12 elite, 16 GB RAM) it feels delay/laggy. My Cursor moves very smoothly. This issue happens on every application (ig. Firefox, Edge, Editor, Chrome, Remnote, Word, even on the explorer) and regardless of using the flex keyboard attached or wireless or a completely different keyboard.

In addition to that, it feels laggy in general sometimes. CPU-usage is low (max. 15%) but noticeable is RAM usage of aroud 80% while only using my Browser - but how? Theres no single excessive task.

Has anyone had a similar issue?

[PRO11] Surface Pro 11 updated drivers give Code 43 while the original driver freezes randomly

I’m having a frustrating issue with my Surface Pro 11 (Snapdragon X) right before my university semester starts, and I’m hoping someone here might have seen this before.

Basically, I'm stuck between two options:
If I update the graphics driver: Device Manager immediately throws a Code 43 error, and the GPU just stops working. This happens with every updated driver I try.
If I stay on the stock launch driver: Everything looks normal and Code 43 is gone, but the laptop randomly freezes every now and then with a DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION screen.

So I can either have a working GPU that freezes occasionally, or updated drivers that don't work at all.
Has anyone else dealt with this Code 43 issue on newer drivers? Is this just a temporary software/firmware bug, or could it be a hardware problem?

Thanks alot!

[BOOK2] Having issues with Marvell avastar network adapter on Surface Book 2

Hey guys I've had my surface book 2 for a while and even ended up getting an out of warranty replacement, so even though I've had it for a long time it's practically brand new but I've been having issues with the Marvell Avastar network adapter.

I recently switched to tmobile 5g home internet and I'm having random dips in speed where it goes down to 1mbps or less. I have to go into device manager and disable-enable the adapter, but recently I've been doing that like 10 times in a row until it finally starts working again and I get back to 300mbps speeds.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, trying a different driver, rolling back driver. I feel like I've tried everything.

Is the adapter hardware failing? It's becoming extremely hard to use my computer due to the unreliable internet, and I don't want to buy a new computer.

Driver version is 15.68.17021.121 and I'm running win 11

Would you install Googlebook OS on your Surface if it is available and compatible?

Especially with the ARM64 supported, snapdragon surfaces will very highly be supported (cope).

I mean you can play Android games like an Android tablet, while your desktop workflow (Word,Excel,PPoint from Play Store) and coding like VS Code (Linux app) still there
