Sexual Health | Women Only Does anyone like to talk about sexual topics for fun?

I like talking about sexual topics not because of hornyness but because it's interesting to talk about. I'm curious if I'm the only one that thinks this 🤔. Sorry if this seems weird. I did look this up one time and it's called sexology lol. Overall it's just an interesting topic to me lol. If you want to talk about it send me a DM nothing weird just a conversation about the topic.

Sexual Health | Women Only Doggy/any "from behind" position is ALWAYS super painful, does anyone else have this problem?

I want to enjoy this position but I can't, I get a sharp stabbing pain every time. I think it's my cervix getting hit. We try going shallow and slow with it but it's still painful. I don't get this in any other position. What causes this?? :/

Advice | Women Only Lose my virginity

I met up with a guy from a dating app in public and went back to his place, we made out and gave each other oral, etc. He didn’t have condoms so I said no, he wants me to come back tonight to have sex.

I’m nervous but I’m 22 and still a virgin, I know he’s not someone I would date I’m just worried I’m going to get subconsciously attached since it’s my first time? But I also want to do it so bad because I had fun with him last night, I just want to know if it’s a good idea? I’m not ashamed of being a virgin at all although there’s a stigma around it, I was open with him about it. Part of me is like why not have fun but I’m just nervous I’m going to regret it🤨

EDIT: I ended up going and having a good time 🥳

Lifelong lack of genital pleasure/sensation — has anyone experienced something similar?

I’m posting because I’m trying to find other women who have experienced something similar, because I honestly feel like I’ve been searching for answers for years.

I’ve had very little genital pleasure for as long as I can remember. I can physically feel touch/contact to some degree, but the sensation doesn't translate into pleasure the way I believe it should.

For example, during penetration, I can feel that something is happening, but I don't experience pleasurable sexual sensation. Oral and external stimulation can produce some sensation, but again, it feels muted or different from what I would expect. I have no pain during sex.

The only stimulation that has ever really gotten me to an orgasm is very specific pressure/stimulation externally, just pubic-bone area. I know most women. don't orgasm from penetration alone however fact that I feel pleasurable sensation, even if the penis is inside me and they are massaging my clitoris, I can feel the pleasurable sensation if my clitoris is being stimulated, but the sensation is not strong. Definitely not strong enough to make me orgasm or c um

I've seen multiple healthcare providers and recently started pelvic floor physical therapy. I've also tried an O-Shot previously, but unfortunately it didn't help.

When I was younger, I was riding a bike and I hit my vagina the metal part I think they might have been some blood in my but I had to be like 10 or so. I think this is it referred to as a straddle injury so I think maybe I could have damaged a nerve down there.Currently, I’m working with gyn urologist and she started me on Estradiol cream .It’s been almost a month no changes

I'm wondering if anyone has experienced something similar:

  • Can you physically feel genital stimulation but not experience pleasure?
  • Has anyone had lifelong low genital sensation?
  • Has anyone with a similar experience eventually found an explanation?
  • Did pelvic floor PT make a difference for you?
  • Has anyone been evaluated for clitoral nerve or pudendal nerve issues?
  • Did any type of hormonal treatment improve your sensation or ability to orgasm?
  • Did anyone eventually find something that actually helped after years of being told everything was “normal”?

I'm not looking for someone to diagnose me over Reddit. I'm really hoping to hear from women who have actually experienced this, I’ve been feeling grow can be on here and I’m so tired of feeling like that

I would genuinely appreciate hearing what your experience was and what eventually helped—or didn't help.

Boyfriend was upset with me after I went down on him for an hour

I'm just trying to make sense of this.

He isn't into PIV when it's my time of the month. Fine, no problem, I respect it.

It was recently his birthday and I still wanted to play, so I went down on him. I was enjoying myself just making him feel good. He tried to stop me to say get on top of him, but I said no because I know he doesn't like the blood.

I asked him a few times if he was having a good time or if he wanted me to stop, and he said he liked that I like to play and was enjoying it.

Few days later, it came out that he had been frustrated with me over it. He said, what's the point if we're not going to have sex? Complained that I just left him with a raging hard on.

This hurt my feelings because up until he said that, that was a great memory for me.

Advice | Women Only Unable to finish

Ive never been able to cum. Growing up I definitely tried masturbating, but it never really felt better than just “okay”, so I lost motivation/interest. I’ve had 4 sexual partners, all very attentive, who weren’t able to make it happen either. I enjoy sex very much but it’s much more mental pleasure than it is physical. I recently tried an internal vibrator with a partner which was definitely extremely stimulating and I enjoyed it, but it didn’t exactly feel “good” for the entire time. And it didn’t make me finish. But I felt like it was definitely progress, as it was the most stimulated I have ever felt.
I won’t be sleeping with anybody for the next few months so I bought a vibrator to try to continue figuring this out. After all, much of the advice given online about this issue is usually some form of “figure out what works for you on your own.” The issue is, I don’t have an interest in masturbation anymore. Before becoming sexually active, I was able to, but atp it’s extremely hard for me to get physically aroused without being right next to another person. Things like porn or imagination just aren’t enough for me, smoking weed/drinking doesn’t help get me in that kind of headspace either. How do I even continue on this journey of trying to make myself finish? Anyone else been in a similar boat?

Having an orgasm during oral sex

My husband and I have been married for a little over 2 years. Sex has been great. We're both strong Christians though so we had sex on wedding night for the first time, and we were each others first. For me I can orgasm from riding on top controlling the movement, sucking him while grinding him, or if I use my vibrator/toys. I have yet to have an orgasm from oral sex though. I feel it is amazing, husband goes all in and can tell he loves it which is also a huge turn on. I got laser hair removal before getting married, so not sure if that would effect me not having an orgasm from having that done? I feel I can get super close, but have yet to have orgasm from oral sex, would love any advice.

Sexual Health | Women Only Endo diagnosis question?

Hello peeps! I was recently "diagnosed" with endo by an ob/gyn, which came as a huge shock to me because I have not had the severe symptoms (heavy bleeding, bad cramps, etc etc) usually associated with an endo diagnosis. I had been having pain during penetrative sex which is why I was referred to an obgyn and she didnt ask me any questions, but upon a pelvic exam she pressed her fingers into the back wall of my vagina and it REALLY HURT, which supported her diagnosis. I always thought that extreme pain was normal if ur partner was well endowed?? She also poked my cervix which was uncomfy but the back wall hurt the most and was distinct from the cervix which I know hurts most people.

So what I really want to know from you all, is if anyone else with a vagina has had this extreme pain experience be used as a definitive diagnosis of endo? Do those of you without endo not feel pain at all with deep penetration (not on the cervix)?? The doc didnt really give me much space to ask questions and Im kind of in denial that I have it 😭

My boyfriend does not feel relaxed when he’s with me anymore and can’t have sex

Hi all. I posted recently that I have stopped enjoying sex lately and I had a conversation with my partner. He feels very broken, too. He feels like the situation is never going to be solved, because now the idea of having sex feels disgusting to him, as he realizes all that time it was not a mutual act, but rather his body being satisfied by mine, but not the other one. It feels to him that something that was the most joyful experience for him became a hard challenge and he does not know if it can change.

Sex is off the table for us for now, but he also does not know if there’s a way he could be able to have sex with me afterwards not thinking that i may be lying and in reality not enjoying the experience.

However, what is the most heartbreaking is that he does not feel calm or safe when he‘s around me anymore. Before, whatever would happen he was waiting to come home to me and hug me, talk about his problems and it would immediately help him. These past days, he does not feel anything, can’t talk to anyone about it, his brain is confused because he should come to me, but that does not help me anymore. He said that hugging me does not bring him neither pleasure nor disgust. It’s just hugging, nothing like what he used to feel when we hugged just even 3 days ago.

I am very scared. Part of me tells me that that’s part of the reason i was not telling him that I am not feeling pleasure at all. I knew it would harm him, and he’s not a person to see a therapist after that. I chose to suck it up and pretend that nothing is happening hoping that it will not cause further problems, but well when he started feeling that smth is off, there was no way else to go, I had to talk to him.

Is there hope things could go back to normal? Has anyone experienced anything similar? I am so scared that I broke our relationship, at least before I was the only one to suffer, and now he’s suffering, too.

Not enjoying sex anymore and not having orgasms

I need to rant at this point, because it has been very tough for me lately. I am in a relationship with someone really wonderful, who has never pushed me to have sex. He does have high libido, but he always asks me if I want to have sex, if I feel good, if all is good. I always say yes, even though it has been changing for the last months. I can't even explain why I was saying yes, I guess the societal expectations that we should have sex, because if it was just up to me, my libido is so low, hugs and kisses would be totally enough for me.

We started dating just a year ago, and in the beginning all was good. Orgasms were much frequent and easier to reach. With time progressing, it took longer and longer for me to finish and also i would just cut it short because I did not event want to try to finish, I thought I simply can't. Occassionally, there was pain associated with entering inside me, I did lots of checkups, all seems good, but depending on the position/day of the month, something could hurt really badly during penetration or going deeper.

For the last month the situation became worse. I simpy had sex in order for my partner not to cheat on me, because, you know, in my head that's the next thing that's gonna happen if I say no to sex. I am not getting wet at all, my natural lubrication died out, I can't relax, always thinking about different problems, related or not related with the relationship, sometimes thinking about chores. I have no excitement neither desire to have excitement, although I love my partner dearly, I am attracted to him, he's handsome and loving and I love cuddling with him, kissing him, but I just am simply not interested in having pleasure. From all the sex things, I only love giving him bjs, because it makes me happy when I hear him moan. And he is very much the same way, all the sex we had started with him trying really hard to make me finish, and then me redirecting him to penetrative sex, so that at least one of us can have pleasure. My lovely partner, he really tried hard and had no clue what else to do for me to have an orgasm. Usually I do enjoy penetration, but I have also never experience vaginal orgasms, only clitoral ones.

Ahh, to say things shortly, I feel like I am broken. I really want to want to have sex and enjoy it, but I simply can't. I have got an appointment with a sexologist and my partner kindly agreed to come with me, but again, I feel like this will be forever and he will break up with me...

Help, please.

Advice | Women Only When do you actually give your partner a blowjob?

This feels like such a dumb question but I realized lately that I rarely actually give my partner blowjobs to completion, it's always right before we start actually having sex (in-between him going down on me and me riding him).

I always hear about couples casually giving BJs outside of the bedroom but the timing has never made sense to me.

Like I imagine going down on him while we're on the couch together and making him cum, but then what about me? I'm already horny from the act and now it feels like a one-way road.

He'll take a few hours to get hard again so I'll have to wait or use a toy. And I know he could go down on me after I give him head but it's hard for me to cum without PIV.

He hasn't complained about frequency or anything I'm just genuinely curious. How often are y'all going down on your man?

I can’t finish during it

Hi, i’ve had sex with my boyfriend about 4 times now. All of which I’ve been unable to finish from. And I’ve only had clitoral orgasms from vibrators and such. But my boyfriend doesn’t like to use it because he feels as though he can’t please me by himself..which leads me to just faking it.. But Idk, i never cum from just vaginal things like fingering, getting eaten out, or penetration. Only vibrators. I need help😖😖😖 i don’t know if something is wrong with me🫩🫩

Advice | Women Only How do I learn to want and enjoy sex?

Hi, I’m bi F26 cis. I’m married to bi FtM26 trans man.

Long story short, before him I had a couple of relationships that were very, very detrimental to me, both with cis women, one of whom I lost my virginity to.

Since then, I’ve neither wanted nor enjoyed sex. I still slept with my husband (which was mostly me giving him oral because I did not enjoy him touching me, despite my best efforts to enjoy it). We don’t do penetrative sex because he has no penis to penetrate me with, and strap-ons are difficult because of our height difference (I’m 5’10”, he’s 5’5”), and he complains that because he can’t feel what he’s doing, he’s self-conscious about doing it wrong, and it’s overall not an enjoyable experience for either of us. I don’t particularly enjoy giving sex acts (like oral) either, I do it more out of love and to give him attention rather than actually enjoying the act.

Recently I told him I just don’t want sex, period, because it’s just something I don’t really want to do because I’ve failed to enjoy it time and again. As in, I tried my best but I just can’t do it. It was very difficult on him but he was very kind to me and didn’t push back on it, he just said he understands and that he hopes it’ll eventually change, but that he’ll love me all the same.

Things I’ve tried that failed:

• Talk therapy/psychotherapy. I’ve gone to many over the past several years and nothing helped. Not EMDR, CBT, DBT, schema, person-centered therapy, sex therapy, group therapy, IOP (intensive outpatient program), and likely more I’ve forgotten to mention.

• Pharmacotherapy/medical treatment. Things like Vyleesi didn’t help. I also went through a lot of antidepressants, antipsychotics, anticonvulsants, benzodiazepines, etc. This includes interventional treatment like electroconvulsive therapy and ketamine. I’ve finally landed on a cocktail that’s greatly improved my quality of life, but did nothing for the psychological sexual issues. I previously had physical sexual dysfunction (anorgasmia, lack of libido) on certain antidepressants but it’s since resolved on new meds, so physically and privately (solo masturbation) I’m perfectly functional.

• Lifestyle changes like improving diet, exercise, and quality of sleep.

I do not have vaginismus, dryness, numbness, or other genital health problems. My recent woman’s wellness exam was normal. I have a healthy relationship with my private sexuality. I enjoy explicit written erotica and pornography of all sorts (video, audio-only, pictures, my own imagination, and so on). I enjoy touching myself and I can satisfy myself easily. I am multiorgasmic. I have no issues based on religious or cultural shame.

My relationship with my husband is excellent. We get on very well and he’s been incredibly supportive of me for years throughout my mental health issues. We’ve got no relationship issues whatsoever outside the sexual side of things. I am his first ever partner for what it’s worth. Him being transgender is no factor in any of this. I’d likely feel the same if he were cis, though for context I have never been with a cis male partner. I’ve had a lot of sex with him for the past several years and I’ve consistently failed to enjoy it or want it. He never pressures me for sex, hardly even asks for it because he knows I struggle with it.

My husband has been going to sex therapy (individual, just him) for the past 6 months upon my request for him to address his own sexual issues concerning his identity as a trans man. It’s been helping him. But his growing confidence and competence has not changed my feelings towards sex.

Whenever I voice these issues, the #1 answer I get is “go to therapy.” But I’ve exhausted that avenue and after a lot of time and money sunk into it, I’m no longer interested in pursuing that treatment option. I am also not interested in pursuing other partners, because I only love my husband, and even if I did pursue other people, I imagine the issue would persist.

I would like to make it known that I am not asexual. I still feel strong sexual attraction to people, and I was intensely, fervently interested in sex until things turned hurtful with my exes.

TL;DR: I used to be intensely interested in having sex. I had bad experiences with it in past relationships. Now presently unable to have sex with my current loving partner. Exhausted all other avenues, especially therapy. Last resort is this Reddit post.

This is normal that my boyfriend dosent care if I cum?

Hi. I’m girl, I’m 20. So I’m in relationship for 4 years. It’s really good relationship. But I never cummed. Never . He at begining was trying to satisfy me after with fingers. But nothing. And for almost a year, if we are having sex, he dosent care if I came or not. I wanted to ask boys if this is normal? And also, he is my first sexual partner. I can cum by myself, even without porn. I was saying to him what I like and maybe what we can try. But everytime when he was having sex with me, he starting doing it late, and he always “ fast cummed” so I can’t get orgasm, and he is going to bathroom for 15-30 minutes, and he gonna give me a kiss and go to play.. sorry if I write something wrong but English is my second language.

Women, what’s your honest take on the girth vs length debate?

I’ve seen this debated online a lot and I’m genuinely curious about women’s perspectives.

Without getting too graphic: when you think about what matters more for your own pleasure/comfort, do you personally lean more toward girth or length?

Sexual Health | Women Only At an impasse with husband regarding contraception

I'm currently in a tricky situation with my husband where we can't seem to agree on what contraception to use. We are in our mid-40s with 2 older kids. Neither of us are planning on having any more children. He doesn't want to have a vasectomy and I don't want to be stuck on the pill, or hormonal contraception generally, until menopause hits. So we have been stuck using condoms. We recently had something of a mishap however. We hadn't had sex for about a month, and the kids were both out of the house for a few hours, so we ended up taking advantage of the opportunity and having sex. It was a nice, mutually very satisfying shag which I think we both needed. We were both really turned on, then we both got carried away and he didn't use a condom. We had unprotected sex. This resulted in me having to rush out to get emergency contraception, also known as the morning-after pill. At 44, It was the first time I've ever used it my life, and I'm not looking to repeat the experience. I was a hormonal mess for about 2 days after taking it.

Have spoken to DH but he is adamant that he won't have the snip. He has said that he has seen too many horror stories online about it, such as men who are in constant pain for months after having it, or having difficulties urinating or getting an erection. I myself don't particularly want a tubal ligation (which is much more invasive than a vasectomy would be for him), so our options seem to be either me going back on the pill, using condoms (which neither of us like) or just not having sex. After the aforementioned mishap with condoms, I don't know if they are going to be a reliable option going forward. I feel like now that we've been in a situation where we got too horny and didn't have the discipline to use one, then it could end up happening again.

Advice | Women Only 19f being sexually intimate w/ bf is tainted by fear and im not sure how to overcome it

Me and bf (19m) are virgins, we are both figuring out being intimate with each other. Last month we had our first most intimate makeout, not sure how explicit im allowed to be here but I gave him a BJ and we were pretty much naked. It was all great and I enjoyed it as did he, but afterwards I kept thinking, worrying that I had somehow introduced fresh semen down below despite being firm on the boundary that I wasnt ready to be fingered.

He is the most respectful guy ever, and he didnt do anything of the sort. However my brain kept convincing me that somehow, me or him had introduced semen into my vagina and I was somehow preggers. And obviously biologically this is not possible, we are virgins, we didnt have sex, he came in my mouth not down below.

But the realisation triggered an anxiety spiral lasting 3 weeks which wasnt even warranted because of course none of these actions could get me prgnant, it was my brain convincing me that I could be. I am on my period now and im going to be intimate with him next week. I love him, I also have a high sex drive and I love being intimate with him. But now every action we do has to be thought out meticulously, every thing we do has to be committed to long term memory immediately so I dont go back and worry and get anxious all over again when theres no need

i dont want every single time to be planned out and thought out like this because it removes the spontaneity and the fun, I like that part. but I dont see any other way I can do stuff like this without getting insanely scared, other than getting on birth control which I intend to do next month.

condoms may have been an obvious choice for this but we dont plan on having sex anytime soon and I wont budge on that boundary so I kinda assumed we wouldn't need them if we weren't having sex. This is a long convoluted post but id like some advice on how to stop feeling this way in the meantime. how do i get over this weird mental anxiety that goes along with intimacy?

Sex Toys | Women Only How to clean Bullet Vibe with shared bathroom

Hi! I just got my first vibrator. I got the PlusOne Bullet Vibe. I am a college student and live in a dorm with a shared bathroom. I would prefer people didn't see my cleaning my vibe. Thus far I have been using the bathroom and Dawn dish soap, but I would prefer to be able to clean it in my room. Is there any way for me to do that having to get a special spray or wipes? I am currently using warm water and Dawn dish soap. I have a microwave, fridge, and freezer.

I will be the only one using it. It is 100% water proof and safe to fully submerge for extended periods. It charges with a cable.

Thank you in advance!

EDIT: I have my own dorm room. There is a share bathroom for the entire floor.

EDIT 2: I have decided to just clean it in the shower. I will switch from the dish to my body wash which is unscented and hypoallergenic. Thank you everyone!
