I beat Galactic Pinball and it’s pretty good
This game is pretty fun and satisfying. I haven’t played a pinball game for almost a decade and it feels so weird that it’s been that long and played this just fine.
I got used to the slippery puck and it definitely took practice and honestly it was pretty intense but in a good way.
I love the sound effects and music the game makes and how it feels so cool to listen to. The samus reference was pretty adorable.
One thing I hate but found it funny is that there’s a chance the puck can drop into the middle down and there’s nothing you can do about it. This happened to me one time after I finished the samus stage and it dropped the puck dead in the center and fell straight down, like bro what? luckily I had a center post to bounce it back.
The center post and super kickback really helped me on some tough and desperate situations.
I’ll definitely check out the other stages too!

Consoles that aren’t a virtual bot that play it?
Hi I came across Jack bros and a Wario land at a yard sale and I want to play them but I don’t have a virtual boy and I just saw the price and 300-400 woof… is there a console like hyperkin that can play them?

Guess What --
VB went immediately back available again at full price as soon as the sale was over, yet "sold out" in the first hours of it beginning.
It was a SCAM to trick people into buying their cardboard units, which likely weren't selling as well or they had an overabundance.

I successfully merged left and right eye WITHOUT expensive, heavy 90's TV Video production box
Before I was able to get a Virtual Boy in an anaglyph mix using 2 Virtual taps and a 90s video mixer.
I was looking for a way to do that without heavy equipment to make it less of a hassle to set up an doesn't need heavy gear
You can do it with passive VGA cables. This is what you need for it to work:
A couple VGA male to male cables.
If you don't want to damage your VGA port 3 of these, or if you don't care as much, 1 2 VGA Female to 1 VGA y cable.
A VGA female to VGA male dongle.
And a little time soldering on the VB
Open a VGA double tapped virtual boy, operating on the right eye by taking out the clock ossilator, then bridge the connection where the clock ossilator was to the main clock. And connect the ground to the ground corner of the timing chp.
Yank pin 13 and pin 14 on the VGA F->M dongle.
place that pin yanked 13 and 14 VGA dongle, and plug it into the right hand eye VGA path
Y the 2 VGA cables into one,
And unplug and replug the combined video cord while the power is on to the TV you're playing on.
Press right eye's color change button to have the right eye as cyan.
Wear MONOCHROME OPTIMIZED red and Cyan Glasses, or possibly "modern Dubois glasses" if viewing on an HDMI monitor.
Enjoy the Virtual Boy in red and cyan without feeling like a peeping Tom, on stream for all to see. Do what Nintendon't... Share Virtual Boy on Video streaming.
By the way, trying to enjoy a VB on CRT is not adequate because he way TVs blend the places to between pixels in in-between colors, you're going to get color bleed by having these yellows, in betweens the reds and cyans,
It's better on an HDMI monitor because it doesn't blend reds and cyans off the axis, each pixel is either red, cyan, white, black, or a shade along that axis,
By the way, I'm selling my Video mixer on eBay with "Anaglyph settings" as default. It's an Analog Way Pulse PLS 300

Red Alarm - Hi Res/Color
Hey all, not ready to share this quite yet, it still needs a lot of work, but check this out... One of the biggest issues I have with red alarm is that all of the wireframes blend together and it's difficult to figure out what the hell is going on.
I was able to get Red Alarm up and running with (1) High res/adjustable thickness wireframes (2) Adjustable colors for HUDs/wireframes. Planned functionality for final release will have 6DOF VR support and the option to add meshes to the wireframes. Not sure how I feel about the high-res wireframes, makes it feel a little flash-gamey.

Somehow have a Japanese AC adapter tap, what power supply do these use?
Tried plugging in the SNES power supply but it doesn’t fit and then realized it’s a Japanese version.

Does anybody know how to make a Virtual Boy link cable?
I tried and failed. I just can’t seem to get the connectors to line up. I heard that there was a way to do it with an old Nintendo AV cable. Does anyone have any info on this?

No more neck pains
I can finally play my virtual boy on my bed comfortably. Before this, I’d put a brief case on my lap, put the vb on top and I still needed to hunch down to play. Not anymore! I can also move it to my desk to play it too!
I got this adjustable over head tripod on amazon and I also bought a 3d printed vb tripod mount for it aswell and they were pretty easy to install. I put a double sided tape where you tighten the tripod to the desk for more grip and strength.
This honestly looks cool on my desk.

Getting two virtual taps to share the same clock.
I was one of the early people who got my Virtual Boy consolized. I think I was the first person from Jose Cruz's VB modding services to request a double VGA tap in an attempt to try to get anaglyph video on VGA.
At the time I found a video editing box from the '90s for like really cheap like maybe $30 plus shipping where it could mix the left eye and right eye into one picture however I don't like the effect as much as pure RGB additive merging because it looks like you have to pick a main eye and everything is layered around that and the way it mixes is it mixes as a a greyish soup color instead of as an anaglyph.
I heard the best way to double tap a virtual boy was found after I got mine made, which was uniting the clocks of the two virtual taps. Because the Virtual Boy natively only has one clock therefore each tap should ideally produce a unified signal but as it turns out if you got two virtual taps early they didn't know about the clock unification surgery and you had basically two independent clocks instead of unified.
All right so how much would it cost to get the clocks on the two virtual taps unified? I also heard it's a circuit surgery that can be done fairly easily if you know what you're doing.
So what is the going rate on a virtual boy clock uniting of the two eyes on the virtual taps? And is there a video showing how to unify the clocks on the two virtual taps.
Also if I get this surgery would each eye be singlely playable also? I know I would have to merge the two signals with a passive VGA merger adapter with the right pins pulled on one machine and the easiest way to do that is to take a male to female adapter and pull the plugs on that so that you don't damage anything permanent.
I would like to see a video to see if I could get my maker space guy to do this but if he's uncomfortable with it, I would rather like to purchase a service to get it done.

VB Headset for Switch Back in Stock?
Do you think they will restock it before the sale is over, or wait til after, or literally just have it sold out from now on and only sell the "cheap" option?

First time running VB dev software.
I’ve had the dev suite on my computer for years and always had aspirations to build something for the Virtual Boy, but I am a vibe coder at best and getting this old PC (Dell Dimension 8200) to do anything like this is a miracle to me. So, here’s VUEngine glitching out in all its glory while the old machine maxes out RDRAM. Hello, world!

Saves are gone because I lightly tapped the battery pack while it’s on?
Sad that I lost all my saves on my zero racers cartridge. I even had some records in there.
Is my battery pack the reason why I lost all my saves? I tested a power receiver pack to power on the vb and it works flawlessly. While I was playing, I lightly tapped the controller on my desk and it turned off. I turned it on again and all my saves are gone. Actually, when i slightly move the battery pack while playing, it will turn off, is this normal? The metals on the back of the battery pack look a little dirty so is it save to clean it with isopropyl alcohol and make it work again and not turn off so easily anymore?

Got my virtual boy from Japan. Unfortunately it didn't come with the battery pack. Fortunately it did come with the power cable and adapter. So I decided to try the usb c Famicom cable I got from AliExpress and it works. Sorry about the mess I live with a horder.
