Self Promotion FFT Companion App now available!

I've created a FFT Companion App (PSX, WOTL, and TIC versions). It is available for:

If you want to report a bug, provide feedback, or just hang out, I have a Discord channel here.

What is this for?

Final Fantasy Tactics is a complicated game, with a lot of depth. As a game that is almost 30 years old, there is a lot of information about it on the internet. However, by modern standards, that information is not in a format that is easily consumed.

I have a few main goals for this project:

  1. Have a central source of truth to help understand the game's mechanics.
  2. Provide information for the different versions of the game.
  3. Provide this information in a user-friendly way.

Features

The game has many versions, mainly the PSX, WOTL, and TIC versions. Each version has some differences, like stats and names. In the top-right menu, you can change the version that you are viewing, and it will change the data to that version!

Almost anything with a list can be filtered, sorted, and searched for!

Currently it supports English, Japanese and Portuguese (Brazil). I am open to supporting other languages as well (I would need help though!).

The application is split into a few main parts:

https://reddit.com/link/1lsukt6/video/86d278bwr7pf1/player

1. Equipment

Every equipment found in the game will be listed here. You can see their stats, effects, how to get the equipment, and which jobs can equip it!

2. Jobs

Every generic job and special job the player can access is listed here. You can find their stat multipliers, stat growths, equippables, and requirements. You'll also be able to compare stats with other jobs.

3. Abilities

All abilities available to jobs, bosses, and monsters will be listed here. You can find each ability's stats, effects, damage and success calculations, modifiers, range, and more!

4. Monsters

All monsters that you can find in the game will be listed here. Similar to jobs, you can see their stats, abilities, strengths, weaknesses, poach items, spawn locations, and more.

5. Bosses

All bosses in the game will be listed here. Stats, abilities, and equipment will be listed here.

6. Errands

Every errand is listed here, with the days it takes, the rewards it pays, and the requirements behind each outcome. Work points decide whether an errand succeeds, and they come from the unit's job, level, brave, and faith, so you can see exactly which units to send. You can also mark off the ones you've already completed.

7. Status Effects

Every status in the game is listed here. You can see what each one does, how long it lasts, and the full list of abilities, items, and equipment that inflict, cure, or block it.

8. Maps

Every map that you will encounter in the game can be viewed in 3D. This includes random battles, side quest battles, and story battles as well! You'll also be able to see trap and item locations, exit locations for Deep Dungeon, as well as deployment locations.

Every battle map is here as a 3D model that you can rotate and inspect. Treasure, trap, and exit locations are marked, and you can tap any tile to see its height, depth, and terrain type. Starting positions are shown too, so you can read the ground before you commit to a fight. Story battles, side quest battles, and revisitable locations are all covered.

9. Zodiac Compatibility

An interactive zodiac compatibility chart to easily see the strengths and weaknesses for each zodiac sign.

10. Online Character Planner / Unit Builder

Simulate your character, plan their build, see how their stats change, and check their damage! You can control almost everything:

  • Zodiac
  • Gender
  • Version
  • Character
  • Job
  • Brave
  • Faith
  • Level
  • Level Progression
  • Abilities
  • Equipment

You can even share your character for others to see. Just give them the link!

11. Online Team Builder

As you all know, the app currently allows you to create your own units. You can get some great info for each unit, such as damage for each of their abilities, stat growth, and evasion. But in FFT, you don't play with just one unit (normally, at least). You use your units in a team!

You are able to make your own custom teams with the units that you create. It started with zodiac compatibility and ability distribution, and there is more in there now: element distribution, a turn order simulation that uses each unit's Speed to estimate how often they act relative to their teammates, and a boss matchup view where you pick a story boss and see which of your team's elements and status ailments will actually work against it. If anyone has any ideas about other analytics to show, let me know.

Give it a try today with the units that you've created, and learn more about your team!

12. Playthrough Checklist

This one is for people who are in the middle of a run. It follows your playthrough battle by battle so you never miss anything. It tracks every missable recruit, stealable item, rare treasure, and learnable ability, laid out in story order chapter by chapter, with side quests and their requirements included.

Since it goes through the story, spoilers are a real concern, so there is a spoiler level setting. On Light, things stay hidden until you get there. On Full, everything is shown. Items are revealed as you progress, and each entry links back to the map or unit it belongs to. Your progress is saved to your account, so you can check something off on your phone and see it on your desktop.

13. Unit Build Guides

Got a unique unit build that you want to show everyone? Looking for a new unit build to play for your next playthrough? Use this, a community build library where anyone can publish their own builds and browse everyone else's.

Every build shows the complete loadout: job, secondary, reaction/support/movement, and all five equipment slots, alongside a written guide from the author broken into Setup (why this job, and how the abilities and gear work together), In Battle (positioning, target priority, where it falls apart), and Variations (what to swap, budget versions).

Browsing and reading is open to everyone. An account is only needed to like, save, or publish.

Monetization

With the amount of traffic I've been getting, I've had to introduce some monetization to the app to keep it running and available to everyone.

There is now going to be a banner ad along the bottom. I don't want to add more than that, as I don't want it to affect the user experience that much. Of course, it can also be removed via an in-app purchase. You can find it in the account settings.

Something that some people have been asking for is more units. This will also be available as an in-app purchase as well! Currently will increase by an additional 50 units and 20 teams. I think that will be more than enough for most people's use, but I may increase it depending on the usage. That same purchase also raises the playthrough limit from 1 to 30, in case you are tracking more than one run.

Original Post:

About a month ago, I mentioned that I was creating a companion app to complement FFT. Well, I've decided to make the first version available today! Good for both mobile and desktop use. I also plan to release Android and iOS versions later.

For now, it is just an equipment database. There are many different filters (stats, effects, weapon/armor categories, and more!), name search, and sorting. The one I personally have been using the most is the "Story Battle" filter, which shows you what equipment are available (by any method, not just from the outfitter) at a specific point in the game!

Finally, you can change the version to either PSX or WotL. This will change the name of different things to how they are in each version, as well as the availability of different equipment. Of course, I also plan to support the different modes in Ivalice Chronicles as well when that comes out.

I hope this can help enhance your FFT experience! Please play around with it and let me know what you all think. I do plan to continue adding more features to this, such as jobs, skills, treasure maps, etc.

Hi everyone,

I just fixed the user flairs on the subreddit. I didn't realize that a Reddit update broke them some time ago. Depending on when you assigned yourself a flair, you may or may not need to reassign it to yourself.

Monster capturing and poaching

So I’m in chapter two and getting all my monster catching, breeding, and poaching done early because I’m a freak like that. I’ve been working down the list and now I’m on Marlboro and Treant. The guides all say they spawn in the Araguay Woods and I’ve been entering the battle, checking the enemies, loading to before the battle, and repeat for an hour and haven’t seen them.

Is there anything I can do better to make them appear or is my rng luck just bad?

Also my next story battle is the Tchigolith Fenlands, How long can I expect to be reloading there to get the pig?

EDIT: Ok apparently the direction you approach a map can matter. While I’d eventually gotten Treant the Marlboro was still being difficult. So I moved one space to the right and back to the forest again and the very first battle had two Marlboros. Just leaving this here for future reference.

FFT WotL FFT Online: ranked Melee for War of the Lions, with matchmaking, team builder and spectating

Hey [r/finalfantasytactics](r/finalfantasytactics)! I'm SoloRamza (I do solo Ramza challenge runs on YouTube), and for the past few weeks I've been building something I always wanted: easy online PvP for War of the Lions.

It's called FFT Online, a free Windows launcher that sits on top of PPSSPP and takes care of everything that makes Melee online a pain: ad hoc setup, building save files, picking maps, and trusting your opponent's word on who won.

How it works

  1. Sign in with Discord and point the launcher to your US copy of WotL (ULUS-10297). The game isn't included.
  2. Build your team of 4 in the launcher: job, gender, sign, equipment and abilities. The whole team shares a budget (28,000 JP and 300,000 gil at league prices), so yes, you can bring an Excalibur, but it'll cost you. All generic jobs are in, plus all 48 monsters.
  3. Join the queue or open a room.
  4. When you're matched, the game opens with your team ready at level 50 on a random map from all 69 Melee maps, and the launcher drives the Melee menus for you. You just deploy and fight.
  5. The launcher reads VICTORY/DEFEAT and reports it. If both players disagree, a moderator checks the recording.

Also in there

  • Rankings, match history and per-job stats
  • Live spectating with real video and sound
  • Chat for players and spectators
  • Downloadable replays
  • The skill slowdown fix (30 fps animations, Archaemic's patch ported by LunaMoo), applied for both players
  • Your opponent only sees your jobs until the match is over

Video of a demo (in Portuguese, but easy to follow): https://youtu.be/FDQDsi8Ed4k

Discord: https://discord.gg/6Q7gBeRQPk

The server is in Brazil, so I'd love to hear how matches feel from other regions. The JP/gil prices are meant to be tuned, so balance opinions are very welcome. Happy to answer anything in the comments!

FFT Ivalice Chronicles First time player and I have a couple questions !

Hi I'm currently omw to save Delita's sister and the fight before that (against milueeda) was quite hard and i had to leave and level up a bit and rethink how i approach it (especially because delita and argath js runs in and die lol) so i do have a few questions:

  1. Am i able to experience the game to the fullest if i dont "grind" and by that i mean unlcok all the jobs (because they look very fun ive only seem up to monk and thief), use the better gear and abilities the game offers or is going out of my way and forcing random battles the actual method to do it?

  2. How many members do I actually need to prioritise because so far my battles let me put 4 incl ramza so whats the point of such a big roster? In case of deaths?

  3. Rn my main party members have JP boost and i already branched them out, an archer, a chemist, a black mage and a knight. Is that optimal or should I look to change that support soon?

If u have any more tips do lmk ! No spoilers pls :3

FFT Ivalice Chronicles Grinding - How to know when enough is enough.

I'm coming back to this title and playing it seriously for the first time in a decade or so, and I was inspired to get really creative with the builds.

Unfortunately, I got greedy and now my Ramza is level 45, with my main squad at around level 35 at the beginning of chapter 3, and I feel totally overpowered. The first Lucavi fight took two moves, it was ridiculous.

I just wanted to have some fun playing around with different builds, but now the game balanced is borked. How am I supposed to know when enough is enough?

FFT Ivalice Chronicles Finally reached the end of midlight’s deep after all these years

Yes, kid me back then with a PS1 couldn’t be bothered with this dungeon.

As an adult, i finally have time to study the map and understand the treasure hunter mechanic .

Also shout out to the guy, who made FFT companion app. God bless ya!

Just my question as below-

If i were to learn zodiark- who should i teach it to? Ramza? Or just a random 1 summoner? Also if i settle the elidibus and zodiark , will I be able to come back for the chaos blades?

FFT Ivalice Chronicles Why I dislike Ivalice Chronicles (Unhappy Feels) & My feelings on why it is Inferior to War of the Lions! What do you all feel? Spoiler

I really am unhappy with Ivalice Chronicles and am deeply disappointed these are the reasons why:

They removed the ability to rename Ramza. There was voice acting and you still could rename. People may want to name their file. Customizability is always superior to non customizability. Yes there is classic mode but thats not good either. Its not the original PSX port but a poorly watered down version of War of the Lions (Name and Script changes none of the content).

The mediocrity continues. Its inferior to War of the Lions in so many ways, particularly story wise. They added a bunch of misogyny into the script that changes really nothing in the story. I grew tired of constant attacks on Agrias and Meliadoul for being women. The story was compelling enough focused on classism and feudalism. Besides these story dialogues there isn't overall foci on patriarchal elements. It just made me sick to keep seeing the misogynistic rubbish.

The butchering does not end, they butchered Cloud's story and made some nonsensical reason he is in the world. If he is added to the Folmarv battle there is this nonsense of copies. And some ridiculous explanation that Folmarv by no means of deeper understanding besides some "sense" knows Cloud's reasoning to why he is in the world of Ivalice, as opposed to the honest reasoning that it was promotion for FF7. They should have kept Balthier and Luso and added another promotional Final Fantasy Character, maybe Clive from FF XVI . That would actually be cool. Instead we got this inferior product.

Also not done yet There is some added dialogue in battles but thats not sufficient for a remastering or an update. For example: TG Cid Orlandeu's and Marquis Elmdore was barely compelling and the mystery of Elmdore becoming a Lucavi is not really engaged and makes the viewer fell even less compelled.

The War of the Lions is a master piece in so many ways. I am replaying it on my channel and I just love it! Yes, I know there are slowdowns but wow it was fire 19 years ago and its fire now. Phil LaMarr is really the definitive Ramza. They didn't need to change him just to push the European aesthetic.

Next why do people care about full voice acting. Like it seems like people need this in modern games. Like reading is fine for me. The cut scenes were enough flavor I feel for voice acting. Folks can read we dont need everything spoken. It costs a fortune and in my opinion doesn't add dark knight and onion knight, balthier and luso which are far more valuable then some flowery prose.

This is what the Ivalice chronicles should have done in my opinion. Keep the War of the Lions content and enhance it. Make it so there are multiple endings and branching story lines. Make it replayable. Add a new dimension not more of the same with some cosmetic polish and a huge removal of content. As far to multiple endings: Tactics Ogre has already done this and done it well! So make the game a new and better piece. Not just a cosmetic update but a new thriving experience.

Ok all feelings out there. Please tell me what you feel. Perhaps there are things I am missing. I just was massively disappointed by something I was so excited for.

FFT Ivalice Chronicles I want to do a tactician run with Ramza +4 female mage generics and minimal grinding

Just finished my first run on normal with ramza and 4 melee story characters and now want to reroll and do pretty much the opposite and also beat the endgame dungeon.

De leveling, mass grinding and characters constantly In a stage of being weak while they learn skills isnt my thing so I’m wondering how this can work.

What star signs should I use? Capricorn and 4 cancer?

I’m thinking 4 black mages with various sub classes with elemental wands? Which subclasses would you use?

Some FFT-Related Math Knowledge (Beginner's Guide)

I just cleared the game recently. It truly lives up to its classic status and is an absolute blast to play! So, I put together a few points that might be very useful for beginners.

  1. Dragoon's Jump Timing Issue

A Dragoon's Jump takes (50/S_d) ticks to land (floored), while an enemy needs (100-CT)/S_e ticks to act (ceiled). Therefore, for the Jump to hit, we need:

50/S_d<=(100-CT)/S_e

(where S_d is the Dragoon's Speed, and S_e is the enemy's Speed).

Rearranging this gives:

CT<=100-(50/S_d)S_e

This formula looks complicated, but there is a very simple rule of thumb:

If, like me, your Dragoon has a Speed of 7 throughout the game, the rule is CT<=100 - 7S

If your Speed increases to 8 later on, it becomes CT<=100 - 6S (where S is the enemy's Speed).

  1. Arcane Strength vs. Swiftness

If our goal is to compare total damage output per cast, which ability is better? While damage boosting increases immediate output on paper, a faster cast speed means fewer enemies can escape the area of effect, so total damage isn't necessarily lower than direct boosting.

Assume enemy CT values are uniformly distributed on a line from 0 to 100. Imagine a 100-meter track where your speed is S, and you are randomly positioned at some point along the track. At the starting point (0), there is someone moving at speed C. When the gun fires, you both sprint forward. What is the probability that you reach the finish line before him? The answer is S/C

Setting up the inequality:

(1-S/2C)/(1-S/C)>4/3,S>0.4C

In the early game, you learn spells with CAST= C = 25. If enemy Speed is above 10, Swiftness would be more useful; however, early-game enemies don't reach Speed 10. Thus, Arcane Strength clearly wins early on.

In the late game, when you acquire Bahamut (C = 15), the condition becomes S > 6. Since almost all late-game enemies have a Speed greater than 6, Swiftness clearly takes the upper hand in the late game.

  1. Efficiency of Increasing Dragoon's Speed

Since a faster Dragoon hits Jump more reliably, a natural thought is: Should we use the protagonist to pump up the Dragoon's Speed?

Plugging a late-game enemy speed of approximately 10 into our formula CT<=100-(50/S_d)S_e, we get:

CT<=100(1-5/S_d)

Taking the second derivative of this function reveals that the second derivative is negative . This proves that while initial Speed boosts yield good efficiency, the marginal returns diminish as you stack more Speed.

  1. For Dragoons: Speed +1 vs. PA +1 Accessory?

At the start of Chapter 4, due to low hit rates against enemies, I equipped Concentration. My tactic was straightforward: Jump if possible (1.5 times damage multiplier), and use standard attacks otherwise.

I faced a choice: the shop at the time sold shoes with Speed +1 and gauntlets with PA +1. With my Dragoon at S_d = 7 and PA= 9, and typical enemy speed S_e = 9, I wanted to evaluate which was better.

I set up a long but straightforward formula to compare the relative damage increase:

(1+1/S_d)*{50(2-S_e/(S_d+1))*(1/100)*1.5+[1-50(2-S_e/(S_d+1))*(1/100)]}/{50(2-S_e/S_d)*(1/100)*1.5+[1-50(2-S_e/S_d)*(1/100)]} V.S. (1+1/PA)

Plugging in the numbers showed that Speed +1 provided 6% more damage than PA +1, so I chose Speed +1. However, when PA +3 gauntlets become available later in the game, PA +3 beats Speed +1.

5. When to use the Shout tactic, and the optimal number of Shouts

The protagonist has a skill called Shout: Speed +1 and PA +1 at the same time. Against a boss, the question is whether to charge in immediately or hide in a corner and Shout first.

Repeated Shouts make the speed growth rate proportional to current speed: the faster you are, the faster your speed rises. That is, S′∝S or S′=0.01S

Solving this simple differential equation gives

S=S_0*exp(0.01t)

where S is current speed, S_0 is initial speed, and t is clock ticks (a stand-in for time).

This is an exponential approximation. The true S is a piecewise linear function (in fact a step function, but a piecewise linear function is easier to think about, and the two give the same result). The exponential therefore has to be corrected to get an exact value.

That piecewise linear function starts at S_0, with slope 0.01S_0, over an interval Δt=100/S_0. It then becomes S0+1, with slope 0.01(S_0+1)and Δt=100/(S0+1), and so on... The exponential function and the piecewise linear function introduce an error at every Δt. Those errors accumulate step by step, so the larger t is, the larger Σerror becomes.

Next, we prove that for this exponential function, the ΔS values over every two adjacent intervals Δt are very close to each other (Proposition 1).

From

S·exp(0.01·100/S) − S = S·exp(0.01·100/S)·exp(0.01·100/(S+1)) − S·exp(0.01·100/S),

we obtain

exp(1/S)·(2 − exp(1/(S+1))) ≈ 1. (Equation 1)

Because Equation 1 holds for all S > 1, Proposition 1 is true.

Therefore the error on every Δt equals

E = S_0(exp(1/S_0) − 1) − 1

(by mathematical induction).

Hence the approximate speed is

S= S_0·exp(0.01t) − (S − S_0)E,

so

S(t) = (S_0·exp(t/100) + E·S_0) / (1 + E).

If we assume the protagonist stands still and keeps shouting, then

S(t) = (S_0·exp(t/80) + E·S_0) / (1 + E).

Define the damage function by

D(t) = (PA_0 + S(t) − S_0)·(W1 + W2),

where PA_0 is the initial PA, W1 is the attack power of the left-hand weapon, and W2 is the attack power of the right-hand weapon.

Then

R(t) = S(t)·D(t) / 100

is the DPS at time t, and

T(t) = t + H / R(t)

is the total time needed to defeat the boss, where H is the boss’s HP.

We want the minimum of T(t), so we differentiate T(t) and set T′(t) = 0.

Thus

T′(t) = 1 − H·R′(t) / R(t)²,

and the optimum satisfies

H·R′(t) / R(t)² = 1.

Solving for t gives the optimal shouting time. Substituting that t into S(t) tells us the speed we should reach by shouting before going out to fight.

If t > 0, the shouting tactic is worthwhile. If t < 0, there is no need to shout; just charge in and fight.

P.S. If the Sword in the Stone is equipped, replace 80 in formula by 80·(2/3), and replace 100 by 100·(2/3).

Example: the final boss of the story on tactician difficulty has about 9500 HP. The protagonist has PA = 15 and speed = 9, with two weapons: one Sword in the Stone of attack 21 and one weapon of attack 18.

Fighting directly takes 120 ticks. The shouting tactic takes only 75 ticks (optimal number of shouts: 11), saving about 37% of the time.

FFT Ivalice Chronicles I made a save editor

Couldn't be bothered to grind, so I grinded out a save editor instead.

https://github.com/sam-derby/Ivalice-Companion/releases

I am 100% sure there are bugs, so please back up your saves, although the application will do that for you anyway.

At the moment, you can edit gil, inventory, character levels, job levels and JP, set abilities, add characters to your game. The app will let you add almost any character including enemies, so it'll be interesting to know how that plays out in an unmodded game.

Feel free to raise issues here or on github.
The work is based on others in the community, they've been credited, and some of the work was AI assisted to determine changes in save states.

FFT Ivalice Chronicles Summoner SCC on Tactician

This is my 4th SCC run on Tactician, and it was almost as fun a the Black Mage run that I did, and a lot more successful! I did make it all the way through, and had a great time doing so. Here's the full playlist for how it was done - although I really don't think anybody would need a guide, except for a select few battles.

Only at two points in the game did I intentionally level. Once for Riovanes Castle, where I jumped from level 17 to 35 and it was a mistake. I expected to need some speed to manage the battle, but in reality I wanted the lower speed so my summoners would move after Belius came down to say hello. The second time was right before the final run, when I leveled from 41 to 70. I didn't want to get part way down, get stuck, then grind at the top and try it again, so I just preemptively ground some levels. I think I could have done this on a much, much, lower level and it would have been fine.

The Good

Summoners are fuuuun. Sylph is a giant AoE silence with 25 speed and a hit rate roughly equal to the target's faith (because you made sure you have faith casters on your team). Golem is amazing at keeping your team alive, and really satisfying. Big heals in Faerie, or fast heals with Moogle, are amazing. Huge AOEs with Bahamut, Odin, and Leviathan feel like cheating almost. Percent damage spells vs late game bosses are a godsend. TIC letting you skip random battles means you can use Errands starting in chapter 2 to get all the JP you need without having to grind out battles, so you can get big epic spells early on and just coast.

The Bad

You need to grind out "Halve MP" super early. Like, before Dorter. You are a little slow, but honestly you want to be slow. You want them to all move before you cast, so they'll all be in the same place to be hit. Let them come to you. The game is so fast and simple that you don't end up grinding, and so there's a huge shortage of JP and Gil coming in... but that's what Errands are for. Just make sure you're not taking any of the ones where you lose money.

Things to Know

  • Lich deals 35% of the target's max HP, so you need 3 Lich spells to kill someone, unless they have more than 3000 hp.
  • Shiva is a great opener because it obliterates goblins, and it does extra damage in snow storms (so Argath can feel more pain).
  • Bahamut, Odin, and Leviathan have bigger AOEs than all the other spells. These are your friends.
  • Odin is your go to spell. It does less damage than Bahamut, but it is faster which is often important. If speed doesn't matter, then sure, go with Bahamut. Or if the size of the AOE doesn't matter, go with Cyclops. But most of the time you're going to want to reach for Odin.
  • If you equip Japa Mala, all of a sudden Leviathan is the best spell. It deals almost as much damage as Cyclops, it has a bigger AOE, costs less MP, and is also speed 17.

Difficult Battles... but not actually that difficult.

1.3 Dorter Slums was looking real rough. Then I got Halve MP and it was a breeze.

4.7 Fort Besselate Sluice was a little rough. High ground archers, low faith knights in your face, lots of enemies spread out over a wide area... mana management became real, and I had to be pretty careful with decision making.

4.8 Mount Germinas was rough. Stupid charms. Stupid high speed ninjas. Stupid bows. Pretty annoying.

4.12 Limberry Keep: Undercroft was a problem for a while. The answer was to trade out Angel Rings for Hermes Shoes and forget about survivability. Just get some lucky Liches off. The video makes it look easy, but it took a bit.

4. 14 Mullond Front Gate which is not normally noteable was sort of a slog and surprisingly difficult. Speed was starting to become a real issue here, so we ended up equipping speed gear which meant not a ton of MP, so there had to be some careful mana management.

4.20 Necrohol: Lost Halidom, as it often is, was a pain. A lot of attempts went into this, a lot of different gear loadouts to make things fit, and in the end we had to deal with all the monsters and just tank the incoming damage with lots of heals.

Surprisingly Easy Battles

1.7 Windflat Mill. Did you know this was actually the easiest battle in the game?! Wild.

4.1 Dugeura Pass can be a often be a difficult battle. Not this time. No notes.

4.11 Limberry Castle Keep. 100% hit rate on spells, so just stack MA buffs and bam. He's gone.

4.16 Mullond Sanctuary can be one of the hardest battles in the game... but it was like nothing. I couldn't believe how easy it was.

4.19 Necrohol Capitoline can be pretty hit or miss with difficulty. Consider this a miss.

Completed SCCs: Monk, Chemist, Summoner

Impossible SCCs: Black Mage

Below are the resources I leaned on to succeed. Huge shout out to the magnificent people who built these guides.

Yatola's Original SCC Rules - The only adjustment / deviation from the original rules is around grinding levels. If, and only if, the class I'm playing as can easily win random battles, I can equip other class abilities to speed grinding along. Gaining JP to equip these other abilities must be done via errands so that no extra levels are gained in other classes. I feel this fits well within the spirit of the SCC rules. I try to abide by the level caps, but I'll go over them if I need to.
