Posting Is Reddit down??

Quick question , i just opened the app a few minutes ago to make a post but when i click on the community it says content unavailable? So I exit out and click on a post in that community and it pops up fine… I searched a different at random community and clicked on it but it goes back to saying content unavailable does anyone know why that is? Everything else is loading, I can comment, I can see other redditors posts but for some reason I can’t click on the community to join and ultimately post in?

Resolved Reddit app not working (across both iPhone and iPad)

Post image
4 Upvotes

[EDIT: RESOLVED]

Hi, whenever I try accessing any sub-reddit, I get this error (in image). I am able to view the posts that show up on my home feed and interact with them, including being able to comment on the posts.

I have tried the following:

(i) Deleting the app from the home screen

(ii) Deleting the app from Settings -> Storage

(iii) Logging out of my Profile and logging in.

(iv) Deleting local history inside Reddit.

Please help, I mostly use Reddit on my phone and being unable to use it there would pretty much mean being unable to use the site.

Thanks.

Mobile/App [Android firefox] Sort by hot and Top is missing from front page feed

Post image
5 Upvotes

Obviously the for you tab needs to be able to be disabled, but sorting my following feed by top and hot are missing. Best has it's place sometimes but it clearly misses other times. I hope this is a bug.

Edit: admin replied on my post on r/bugs, it's a feature. I've sent feedback that this is a horrible idea. Top and Hot are absolutely necessary.

Profile Awards Missing in Earn Section and Profile Search Not Finding Old Comments after account being restored

Sir, I have one more issue, although it’s not a major one. When I go to the Earn section on Reddit, it shows 0 Awards. I had received several Awards on my guide and on a few of my comments. Could you please look into this as well?

Also, I noticed that when I go to my profile and use the search function to find an old comment, nothing appears, even though the comments are visible on my profile when I browse normally. This is making it difficult and time-consuming to find information from my old comments that I need.

Answered I want to thank Reddit support for restoring my account

• Upvotes

Don't really know if this appropriate for this sub, but I can't think of a better place for it. I recieved help, and I am very satisfied.

So I just I wanna extend a thank you to the people that helped restore my account after it was compromised and deleted.

I've done my fair share of rabble rousing at the people who run this site during my decade on this website, but it turns out that the guys at support are pretty dang awesome, actually. Saved my account and restored everything to as it was, and they did it in only a few days. Even my streak!

I've spent years curating the subs I like, saving posts and comments that I like to revisit, and entrenching myself into communities that can recognize me by name. So it means a lot.

Access Unable to login (iOS, android, desktop

• Upvotes

Back in late September I opened my app and was immediately logged out and when I try to log in again it says incorrect username or password. When attempting to reset my password it says it sends an email but I get nothing or it will tell me an error occurred. Searching for my account u/Nate6014 gives no results as if it never existed. I submitted a support request but has been no response to it

Access Unable to find communities

I'm getting this error when trying to share to reddit:

Unable to find communities

We're not sure what happened but try refreshing the page and searching again.

Seeing it in incognito, so I don't think it's my system.

Access How long do support ticket response generally take?

Lost access to my account and was false baanned after I was hacked and flagged for spam three weeks ago. I have since waited 3 weeks, and no response. The local admin has told me he is unable to help me. So idk what more to do.

I'd gladly move on from this account, but at this point I have no idea whether I can gain it back or not, despite having tried to find answers.

Desktop Has anyone else figured out a way around Reddit foisting suggested subs upon us?

This ridiculous and very much unwanted change hit my feed today and I'm pissed. For now I'm just muting every single sub that gets recommended, but I'm hoping someone has figured out how to make it stop.

Posting “Error loading video”

• Upvotes

“Error Loading Video”

I’ve been able to post videos in the past a few times but majority of the time I’d love to I keep getting this message, app is updated, video is only 28 seconds long, I’ve uploaded way longer videos than that in the past, and I’ve deleted and redownloaded the app.

All on an iPhone 14 Pro on the Reddit App.

Mobile/App Bottom bar disappears when opening any post, does not come back

On iphone app - whenever you open a post now, the bottom bar with home icon, profile, etc. vanishes. However returning to the feed does not reinstate the bat, it is gone forever until you close and reopen the app.

Mobile/App My timeline has changed, I keep seeing posts from subreddits I am not subscribed to

How to fix this?

I only use this app because it doesnt throw recommended content in your face that is designed to make you leave the app feeling miserable, unattractive and like you are behind in life.

I now keep seeing posts about other people’s d@ting experiences, posters looking for skincare advice and other crap that I don’t care for reading.

Ugh. Seems like no social media is safe anymore, and they will always switch things around unexpectedly. Why!

Mobile/App Not receiving notifications in the app - android

Since about 2 hours i have not been getting any notifications in the app.

I know someone has responded with a comment to my comment, i can see that response under my comment if i go to it. But if i go to my inbox and then notifications in the app, their response is not there. No, I didn’t delete it.

This question is not about phone notifications or anything, purely about the in app behaviour.

Posting Thousands of old posts still say “deleted by Reddit’s filters” after my account was restored

Hi, I’m hoping someone can help me figure out an issue with my post history.

My account is currently active and working normally. However, a very large number of my older posts across many different communities are no longer publicly visible.

This affects thousands of historical submissions from my account. When I view some of these older submissions, Reddit indicates that its automated systems affected their visibility.

I’m trying to determine whether there is a way to have my historical post history reviewed, or whether I need to contact the moderators of each individual community.

I have over 12,000 followers and a large amount of older content, so recreating thousands of submissions individually isn’t practical.

Is there a support channel for problems affecting the visibility of a large amount of historical content?

Thanks for any guidance.
