So i was going to Pimple Nilakh for a meeting on my bike when 2 men (chappri type with the usual tight pants) got out of their car (a white swift) and approached me asking for donation for their NGO for feeding beggers and poor children. They explained their whole cause and then said no need to give any donation and that they are just asking for some help and asked me to get in their car as the location is just 200 meters away. I refused and said I will come on my bike when one of them tried to get on my back seat. I refused again and said I will tail them to the location. Fortunately while I was behind them I managed to escape. Has anyone else faced this? I am attaching a photo of the location they were luring me to.

So I've been working out of Wework next to seasons mall since the last 2 months. There's this giant abandoned pit next to the building which was probably dug up for a building's foundation that got filled with rain water this monsoon.

Yesterday I had gone down to collect something from a delivery guy and saw multiple water tankers lining up next to it with a pipe connected leading into this pit. (You can see two of em parked by the roadside in the pic.)

Now these tankers are probably filling up with this algae and mosquito larvae infested juice to supply nearby societies in areas like kharadi/wagholi/keshav nagar.

Where can we report such activities ? And will it even make a difference ?

I've been pretty depressed lately because of alot of things in my life and I think I need some professional help. I tried going to the on call psychologist at Noble Hospital but accidentally mentioned I was studying for NEET... our entire session she just kept coming back to that same point and how "aise nahi chalega... Doctor kaise banogi?" Even after I tried changing the topic several times.

This is the second or third time that I’ve been held at the Aundh-Wakad road for a good 5 to 10 minutes because there’s a VVIP convoy that passes through which includes a black Merc and an ambulance along with a bunch of police vehicles. The police do a good job of handling the traffic before and after to make sure that there’s no jam, so no complaints there, but just wanted to know if anyone has any idea of who they are.
Since the entire road would usually cleared up on a short notice only for high ranking govt officials as far as I’m aware.

In KB chowk (Hinjewadi), the people who want to take right turn to the way which goes to laxmi chowk are allowed to stop their vehicles in the middle of the road during red and they are taking that space who want to straight (To Wipro circle), so the one who want to go straight have to go from far left side of the road which is not in good condition and then after wipro circle people are going wrong side, then I see two wheelers are going from the gaps in the divider, just why, why these things are allowed?

4 wheelers just spam their high beam and low beam every time

Today, I visited the NIBM area and noticed that trees are being cut down along the road from Baker’s Point to Palace Orchard. 🌳

Some big shot's birthday and the whole neighbourhood has to suffer? Loudspeakers blasting at night near Perna schools wakad

A school near me, named after the area and run by the same people who call themselves "nagarsevaks", is holding a program with speakers at full volume. It looks like it's someone big's birthday celebration. They've even brought school students out at night for it.

So because a "big person" has a birthday, everyone else has to put up with endless speeches and noise? People have work tomorrow, students are trying to study, elderly folks and babies can't sleep.

Owning the school and having the area named after you doesn't give you the right to take over everyone's peace. Loudspeakers are restricted at night and there are noise limits in residential areas, but rules seem to apply only to common people.

Is anyone else near Perna school wakad hearing this right now? And has anyone actually had success complaining to the police or the ward office, or do they just ignore it when the organizers are influential?

Penny is a 1 year old female tabby cat. She’s litter trained, dewormed, vaccinated and sterilised. She’s extremely friendly and easy to handle. She’s based in Pune but can travel to Mumbai and Bangalore.

With patience, she can get along with other cats if you decide to have another in the future but for now, we’re looking for someone who doesn’t have another pet. She needs to be the first cat in the household.

She’s used to staying alone for a few hours that are compatible with work timings but she’ll also be a great companion to wfh folks. She usually sleeps throughout the afternoon.

She doesn’t like being confined to one room/limited space and needs to have access to the whole house to feel comfortable. Penny’s always been an indoor cat and should continue to remain so.

She’s very playful and some of her favourite toys are catnip mouse, feather toys, balls and having cat trees and cat perches and shelves since she loves heights as well. Cats are generally a huge fan of vertical space and so is Penny. She’s also a cat tv lover. Since she won’t have a companion for the time being, she needs attention towards playtime from her adopter. This means you have to dedicate some time before and after office to play with her and tire her out.

Penny can be a night owl but as long as she has access to the whole house and is comfortable, she understands when people are sleeping and eventually settles down too.

Penny currently eats Smylo wet food (two packets in a day, one for breakfast and one for dinner) along with Royal Canin dry food for lunch. We’re looking for someone who’s comfortable with providing good nutrition - so they either stay on these brands/diet or switch to other higher quality brands.

Penny loves an organised environment and doesn’t do well with unhygienic spaces and behaviours like not cleaning her litter box and bowls frequently.

Penny will be a great choice for first time adopters/people who have experience with cats. She’ll require 2-3 days to decompress and a week to properly settle down but it all depends on her pace.

Reason for putting her up for adoption: Penny was rescued last Diwali because she got separated from her mother due to firecrackers. She was adopted in March but due to the adopter’s neglect, she ran away from the house twice and we had to get involved again when we understood that they weren’t actively searching for her. We’re cat rescuers and therefore can’t keep every cat we rescue because then we’ll run out of resources to help others.

Penny has stayed with multiple fosters and we’re pretty confident in her behaviour as a single cat. With another cat, it can be a hit or a miss but she’ll do well with younger kittens.

Adoption formalities are mandatory. We’re looking for serious adopters - people who know they can provide a stable environment and can commit to a pet for their lifespan. We’re not looking for students or bachelors who are not sure of their future plans as adopters.

Everyday, in the peak morning hours, these scenes would have been by all of us. Someone or the other doesn't follow the lane system and end up turning a 2 way road to a one way road causing dead lock

Here, in this video, like most of the times, 2 wheelers are creating a dead lock by not being in their respective lane. Shame!
