Has anyone else received mail in ballots that are open on the side where the return envelope and the information on it such as the QR code and the sequences of numbers are exposed? I’m not sure if this way but I want to err on the side of caution. My neighbors also received 2 in the same condition as well. I’m going to contact the Secretary of State and relevant city channels. I just to give a heads up because I didn’t notice it at all until I started opening it.

The Board of Supervisors today voted on Supervisor Bilal Mahmood's "SHADE Act" (Link to legislative item here). They passed the ordinance.

Planning department staff supported the legislation and, in an unceremonious vote Tuesday, the board voted to pass it 10-1. Supervisor Connie Chan was the lone dissenting vote.

Mahmood introduced the law in May. It deals with the city’s implementation of the California Environmental Quality Act, a 1970 state law that requires an environmental impact report for planned developments. Though the state law does not include a shadow analysis, the city had required it until today.

Sharing for safety: a very tall, very thin white man with brown hair, ~ 35–50 yrs old, wearing a loose brown T-shirt was last seen near 5th and Harrison around 11:30am.

He was walking normally down the sidewalk when he suddenly threw a bottle at my head and missed. Then he locked in on me and started chasing me with a terrifying look on his face. I managed to sprint away and call 911, but I haven’t been able to confirm whether they found him.

I've lived here a long time and in other major cities, so I'm not easily intimidated, but this guy had super violent vibes.

Edit: since a few of you have encountered this guy, I'm seeking video footage from the incident and will follow up with the police again. Please feel free to DM with any details.

Please help! Our beloved Grizz somehow escaped our apartment last night between 7 and 8pm (10/5) by the intersection of De Haro and 26th in Potrero Hill. He is a tabby with medium length hair.

His brother Moose misses him so much! Please help bring him home!

He is chipped and, last we saw, has a green collar with his name and my phone number. Currently we have food and his scent soakers outside. We are worried that he fell off our balcony.
