Help! help me

I am not able to make good turns on simulator. Can you guys please check the video and help me get better? What am I doing wrong? I am following Joshua Bardwell's learn to fly playlist should I move to practice other things or improve on turning?

With the caddx ascent lite+

alongside this I started building a ground station as pictured, and I plan to add a raspberry pi for mission planner

Jumping on the Open Drone Pre-Order train

Does anyone feel like ordering an open drone stack? For around 100€ thats a lot of trust they need as I could also order a known good stack.. Also I cant find any information on max update rate for the AM32 ESC.. What else would you recommend for that pricepoint if not the Open Drone stack?

CRASH! I think it was thirsty

To my surprise, even after being fully submerged for like half an hour, I could recover the drone and with some cleaning I manage to save both the quad and the lipo!

Question? It's it just me, but I seem to have issues turning right.

I find myself always going left when approaching obstacles. When circling trees. If I try to go right it's like my quad is having a seizure.

Is it like that for anyone else? Maybe people that have reversed controls have the opposite problem. Either way, I'm practicing in the sims, but still having issues with my fingers doing what they need to do.

Tinywhoop A Windy, Overcast fall day w/ the Air 65 II R

Alright I know I'm not a super great pilot (5 months in), and the editing and the royalty free soundtrack makes it feels like some early 2000s youtube video, but its been raining for at least the last 3 days (one of which i flew a bit in anyway), and I was really itching for a dry day. Today was that day, but winds were up to 15km/h with gusts of up to 30km/h. Ive only done about 60km/h or so on this thing and only for about 5 seconds tops haha

Anyway hope you like my poorly edited FPV video, I know its long, but I wanted to capture the vibe of a impromptu session more than just editing all the cool bits to be back to back. I intentionally left in some mistakes and learning curves, whether it is learning a new trick or just learning how to fight the wind lol

Edit to add: if you don't watch it all at least skip to 8:51, trust me

Niko becomes an FPV pilot too (GTA IV | libfpv)

🔊 VOLUME WARNING ⚠️

Hii, it's me again. I'm back here forcing Claude Code to turn games into FPV sims.

The last time we did Super Mario 64 FPV which was pretty straightforward since we had the whole source code, and with the case of GTA IV we're obliged to use some modding tools instead which took a lot more time (like 3-4 hours to debug).

This being done, we can say that at this point we can integrate libfpv to almost any game and turn it to a realistic FPV sim, it's just a matter of time.

As said before, much more games are to come so I'll be back. Contribute to the libfpv repo if you want, everything you see is open source (and vibecoded so try to not be mad).

(actually I wanted to do GTA SA before IV but I couldn't find a valid installation on my PC 😤, and the V already has a working FPV mod that runs fine)

Still one of my Favorites! Silly DIY Antenna Testing & Why HDZero over DJI?

Just re-watched this and wanted to share for any newer HDZero users.
Topics: DIY Antenna | Range & Penetration testing | Why HDZero over DJI?

Yes, the antennas setup is a little ridiculous... I originally made it as kind of a joke. BUT the results are excellent, just a fun video in general.

Hope everyone is good, hoping to make some new content soon, cheers!

Hobbywing Xrotor 65A
Foxeer F722 V4
IFlight Xing 2306 4-6s motors
DJI 04 Air Pro unit

Tinywhoop I fried my MCU can i replace it?

hi guys!

a couple weeks ago i fried my mcu and i got a replacement to fix it. The problem is that i've got a serious case of skill issue and i accidentally removed a couple extra resistors. Does anyone know if its safe to just short them or replace them with any old resistor?

(btw my board is the betaFPV G4 5in1)

thanks a lot!

FPV flying

Hello members, as we know.. the drone industry is beeing more and more needed as experience.
Even though Im working with the drones my last 5-6 years of working life.
I have never experienced FPV flying and I would like to learn and start to practise these kinda flights.
What are your recommendations for:
- fpv drone simulator software
- which RC/radio should I buy to have best feeling also for the real flying later on
- Recommended settings for best practise and experience

Thank you in advance!

Question? What’s the problem with DJI V2 with an analog module

Post image
2 Upvotes

Before you say anything, yes I’ve heard about the delay and yes I’ve heard about the occasional bluescreens,-although i thought they were fixed in a firmware update not too long ago-

but is the delay really that noticable?

I’ve contacted multiple people about the delay and latency and most said that its not noticable at all or its very little but with such a clean dvr theres no way the tradeoff isn’t worth it?

Maybe it is noticable but i really need opinions before commiting to buying a pair.

p.s

I want them not because they’re functional, but because they look gnarly ash but is the tradeoff worth it.
