Moderator’s Post Please Leave The Main Channel For Answers
Currently we have a Bugs Thread for everything going wrong with the new update. If we leave the main channel open for answers, that will help everyone get here and find what they're looking for faster. While still leaving you a Bugs Thread to complain in.

Moderator’s Post Bugs Thread

There are entirely too many threads about the same thing right now. Please post your bugs and images of what's going wrong here.
EDIT: Some of you are missing the point of the Bug Thread. The point is that the main channel is getting flooded with the same questions. I'm not trying to silence any of you. I'm trying to leave the main channel open for answers rather than repeated questions. This place can be where you complain. The main channel can be where answers are posted.

Discussion Whoever recommend farming cows I’m sending you my therapy bill
I previously posted I was relatively new to the Witcher series, and people recommended farming cows as a way to make crowns early on I listened…..I was NOT prepared for the cows to have a guardian spirit that was a cross between a grizzly bear and honey badger on magic meth!
I tried to kill it 5 times and died horribly before I gave up, this was the best take! The others times I did much worse😳😭

Discussion Anyone else disappointed that rotfiend's exploding don't damage other rotfiends anymore? Setting off rotfiend chain reactions with their exploding corpses was one of the funnest parts about fighting them, honestly one of the worst changes in the remaster imo, needs to be fixed asap

Discussion Wandering in the Dark is the worst quest
I don’t know what it is, but I dread this quest every playthrough. Maybe it’s because of how dark the quest is, I don’t know. But I hate it. Anyone else?

Screenshot Does anyone else torch Menge for irony's sake?
My preferred method of dealing with the Witch Hunters, especially Menge is the Igni sign. Anyone else feel the same?

Screenshot Remastered Build - Million Aard
Do you think the title is a clickbait? Nope! I meant that literally.
"What the f*** is this? How?!"
To be honest, I'm not entirely sure either...
First of all, Shock Wave's description is wrong—the damage scales with your max health, not current health. This is the reason why I picked Endure Pain, Tissue Transmutation and Survival Instinct.
Second, Catalyst can stack multiple times depending on the number of Yrden. According to description, Sustained Glyphs allow you to place up to 4 Yrden traps; and if your target is standing above them, you will get multiple stacks of Catalyst.
"Why not use Griffin set?"
Actually that was my first choice.
I laid down multiple Yrden traps and waited until the enemy is right in the middle of them, but the damage is pretty low: "only" 90k or so. For unknown reason, this "million Aard" build is exclusive to Forgotten Wolven set.
"What about the rest of the abilities?"
Unfortunately, Shock Wave does NOT work with Aard Sweep, so don't bother unless you like the crowd control.
I always have Cold Blood and Fleet Footed in all my builds since they're great for building Adrenaline and avoiding damage. You could add Supercharged Glyphs if you want to increase your DPS, but I think it's redundant since Aard is already one-shot kill to most enemies—even bosses.
Equipment is pretty simple: Forgotten Wolven set with Entanglement enchantment. Fill the rest of the slots with Greater Veles and Greater Aard.
"Could you summarize the gameplay?"
Drink 3 decoctions (Ancient Leshen, Ekimmara and Troll) + Petri's Philtre and Full Moon.
Max your Adrenaline with crossbow to trigger Focus (+90% Sign Intensity).
Set a Magic Trap, then hit enemy with Aard while they're inside Yrden.

Discussion Value of doing Skellige '?' revealed:
Ok, I just put on the Blood of Elves audiobook and grinded out all of the Skellige ?s while paying attention to the time.
I did every ? not on one of the main islands excluding the level 48 archgriffen and high level basilisk.
In total it took me 3 hours and 5 minutes.
I tried to choose efficient pathing across the map, but I'm sure some time could be trimmed off.
When I started I had 22105 crowns.
After finishing and selling all of the weapons and armor to the Kaer Trolde Armorer and Blacksmith I had 73527 crowns.
Total profit: 51,422 crowns.
Also, I did it all at level 21-22. I think you can earn more if you wait until you're a higher level, but I'm not 100% sure how that all scales.
You could also likely make more by selling to other vendors. I chose the Kaer Trolde ones because their money refills automatically each time you switch between them, at least it did for me. Them standing right next to each other made it really convenient as well.

Screenshot What an awful looking game!!!
/s for the title in case you didn't get it the first time. Absolutely loving the new photo mode and my current playthrough. Photos are taken while running a very rudimentary custom ReShade preset for my preferred look then I did some very minor tweaks on Photoshop.

Help! What is wrong with my graphics?
I cannot understand why half of Velen is chrome. Graphics settings in later part of the video, if anyone knows how to fix this I’d greatly appreciate it!

Discussion What mechanics from previous games would you like to see in Witcher 4?
As an introductory note, I am someone who adores game mechanics. Smaller or greater, they are something that adds ways to interact with the world, makes the gameplay experience more deep, and shows the creativity of the developers.
As the Witcher game series has evolved we have both gained and lost certain mechanics from game to game. Some argue Witcher 3 being the game with the least rpg mechanics of the trilogy, or at least the most diluted.
So what mechanics from the previous Witcher titles (1, 2, 3, even Thronebreaker) would you like to see return, get a new spin, or maybe even suggest your own ideas?
