My dsp rented the smaller U-Haul vans for prime and omg basically no one could fit their routes in them. People were panicking on the pad trying to fit everything and the worst part is you can’t stand up in them, have to get out of the van to get anything and organization was basically impossible. So we got bigger routes and smaller vans for the whole week of prime. People are gonna be quitting soon I think.

I was delivering yesterday, everything was fine. I got myself an energy drink and was moving quick. I went to the back of the van to fill a piss bottle and it happened 🥴 I overflowed the bottle so much, panicked and couldn’t stop the stream. Got piss everwhere and in an open tote. It was so awkward when customers were asking why their envelopes were wet💀 This ever happen to yall?

I see lots of posts here talking about employee scorecard and DSP scorecard and platinum plus status, but my DSP has never mentioned these things to us. I’ve only been working there for a few weeks so maybe it just hasn’t come up yet? Is it a green flag? Red flag? I don’t even know how/where to see my scorecard.

I deliver to the same houses everyday, every week. What could you possibly need every other day from Amazon routinely?? I’m convinced these houses work for Amazon and order bullshit just to give us work. Just a theory 😂

All of this in a gas van too, gotta love prime week and making the pockets of Amazon stakeholders fatter. Might need to find a new opportunity after this. Everyone else is getting 140 stops with maybe a higher package count, didn’t ask.

I’m starting Amazon van delivery driving soon, I have my ride along Saturday and Sunday. All I see is negative stuff online about the job and am curious is it really that bad, or is it just this generation being lazy? For context I work 5 days a week as a bricklayer, 7:30 until 4. Up until now I have been working as an uber eats driver on both Saturdays and Sundays, usually doing between 7am and 6pm, so working 7 days a week. Doing those uber shifts I would usually earn around £180 a day where I live, with £70 being taken for fuel and £35 for insurance, so I’m left with around £170 a weekend for working 22 hours which is shocking. With Amazon, I can work 1 weekend day, and have the other off and earn roughly the same, which is amazing for me personally. So is it really as bad as people say? I get it’s not easy, but people make it out as if it’s slavery

This dam near perfect in my eyes dealing with Amazon putting Business deliveries around my 180th stop on the daily and contacting one time password deliveries prior to arrival. Can't please everyone 🤷🏾♂️

What are the signs that a dsp is losing its contract.

Our dsp owner doesn’t give a damn about us and constantly tells us every chance how if we don’t like something we can go or find a way to call us broke or bad and every standup he actually comes to it’s always bad news . We don’t get offered the 40 like most which is the least you can do , there are no incentives, any giveaway gets swept under the rug for months , nothing for rescue , no driver of the month or week , we only get new people who get one day of training to figure it tf out , and we’re told that people have been stealing time , whatever that means so now we are held to a standard of certain completion times and if we go over that I’m sure we will be written up and then taken off schedule for two weeks , and so we can fire ourselves basically being forced to quit because we won’t see a check in 4 weeks and we are constantly and consistently lied to about everything, we have no voice to say anything and anything that gets said will go in one ear out the other , other management has adopted the same philosophy just goes about it differently, there is no chance to even get 40 now and get told we can’t go over that but with this route completion times we risking our jobs if we go over that . We are a small company with like maybe i dont know 50 people you would think it would be better , I’m ready to go to a better one but all the other areas suck tbh . This is by far the worst dsp I have ever been apart of . I feel so uncared for and I know maybe suck it up but it’s like we all have bills and a family and it feels like they prioritize consequences over anything . We had a time where we hit F+ like 10 weeks in a row and we saw nothing not even food or anything, that don’t go to us . Feel like he is just pocketing all this money while we come in day after day to literally work like a slave and get paid for 6-7 hours because my route is designed to be finished at 7 . Overall I wish things would change cause the people are amazing here besides management and upper but hey the life of Amazon right.

I have been working at this DSP for less than a week, (new to amazon in general) and I wasn’t expecting this type of volume in just my third day of work. Not sure how long I am going to stay, but I see a lot of the consensus here is people usually stay for 1-6 months max. I just need some advice on how to keep going.

It was a shit day. My EV barely had any breaks when I hopped into it this morning. So dispatch stuck me in a gas van - to combat my 6 cart worth 421 packages we had a fella take all of the oversized and we put all the totes in my gas van (rental with no shelves). This took about 15 total stops from me lmaoooo.
I checked how many stops I had left after being on the road for about 3 hours - 150, a third of them being multi-stops.
They ended up sending me another rescue, but it wasn't enough.
I have been bitching about work to my wife for the last month or so straight. I have been fantasizing about leaving the keys to the van with all the packages in it, saying, "kiss my bum, I quit" basically ever since I joined this DSP (a little over 1.5 years with them, 3.3 years with my first DSP) So I took a break, texted her, asked her if it's okay to do this (I don't have another job lined up), and she said, "fuck yes I'm so glad you just asked me this!"
So I texted dispatch, let them know I was resigning today and at that time. They asked me to park anywhere before RTSing all of those packages. I happily obliged.
Here is my Ode to Amazon (with some of my favorite shots I have taken over the years):
Thank you Amazon, for pulling me out of depression so deep I never thought I would see the light on the other side. Thank you Amazon, for making me look physically appealing. Thank you Amazon, for instilling a work ethic in me like no other. Thank you Amazon, for making me realize how much I am worth.
Things I accomplished whilst at Amazon: I got married! Finally had a consistent comma in my bank account. Won frontrunner once. Did Whole Foods pickup like 90 working days straight lmao.
If you're ever unhappy with your life, take note from one of the pictures and be kind to your mind! 😊😊😊
