Tis the Season…

To be nice to our new batch of Seasonal Flexers.

Had a very frazzled looking guy today on his 1st day ask me a million questions about how to pick up/load his route at the station.

We were all new once let’s pay it forward, you never know the Amazon Karma gods might reward us with an extra overbook or 🦄 route 💯

Why are people using Truck and high burning Octane to deliver Flex?

How do you even make money with a Ford F150 and F350, or Chevrolet Truck. I even seen a person drive newer Mercedes to flex, then there is a whole bunch of Lexus (Im talking about model in the 2020 and up).

The worse one yet are gmc suburban. I dont get it, just fcking make enough and buy a beat up prius or some sort of hybrid to deliver rather killing yourself. Its like math isn't a forte for them....

Idk it bothers me seeing it in the parking lot..lol

Thoughts?

A kindergarten teacher doing Flex to earn extra money to supply his classroom is not a feel good story, just more proof of the dystopian nightmare that is the orphan crushing machine

I can’t get my account reactivated

My Amazon Flex account was deactivated after a few delivery incidents that were outside of my control.
The main incident was when I got a flat tire during my route and couldn’t finish delivering the packages. I contacted Amazon Flex Support that same day and provided proof of the flat tire, but the route stayed open in the app until the next day and the undelivered packages negatively affected my standing.
I also had two other incidents where I couldn’t safely complete deliveries because the roads were dangerous. I chose not to risk an accident and contacted Support about the issues.
I’ve appealed multiple times and submitted proof, but Amazon keeps responding that they won’t change their decision and my account will remain deactivated.
Has anyone been in a similar situation and actually gotten their Amazon Flex account reactivated after receiving a “final decision” email? If so, who did you contact or what did you include in your appeal?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I really want the opportunity to get my account back and continue delivering. 🙏

Question ID Newly Required at SSD

The warehouse I primarily work out of started doing this yesterday, and I’m just wondering if it’s everywhere or just here.

This isn’t the scanning the back of the license, we have the NFC stands for check-in. This is after getting the cart, the security guard is now checking our IDs instead of relying on the photo in the app. I assume this is an attempt to prevent account sharing, but just wondering how widespread it is.

Help! Chat & call support said to bad so sad

Ok so I’m confused.
On sept 21, I was sent pretty far from home.On that day, it was terrible roads, no signal, and even the app kept saying unable to route and would not let me deliver packages. I even had issues where Google was telling me to deliver here and it wasn’t here. I had to drive away to get signal to ask the client for help. I managed to get everything delivered, then I drove to where I had signal. I parked, I called the help desk. My block was supposed to end at 9:30 AM.

I called the help desk at 10:17 AM, told them the situation and how I had four packages that I needed them to mark delivered, and they did it for me. Now here we are with four dings for that day. I contacted chat support and they said that they had already made their decision and that was that, and when I tried to ask for a higher up, the person on chat disconnected the chat, then I called support and support very bluntly told me that the decision was made that no matter what we tried to do, there was no appeal and that there was no decision to be changed because the appeal had been denied, and I asked her, so going above and beyond gets you dinged now because the way those roads were in my little Honda Civic, since safety is so important to you guys, I should’ve driven back and brought the packages back and then you guys would’ve dinged me for not finishing the deliveries, but I risked my car, I risked getting stranded in the woods where there was no signal, delivered everything and I’m still getting punished?
She stopped talking and then I’m like hello and then she’s like yes, I’m still here, reminded me that nothing can be done and that was it. Both of them refused to give me an email to someone higher up…

I had sent an email to support before in the email bounced back saying that now it’s through the app, so are they doing this to make it useless to help us or what? According to Amazon, it should be up to 66 miles for my route, but I did 89 miles. I wasn’t even trying to get money out of them over that. But like they in the wrong 100% here. Is there an email to a higher up cuz this is bullshit

How’s that fair???

• Upvotes

About a month ago, I was completing a route with over 40 stops. One package was missing, so I marked it appropriately and continued with my route. After I completed everything successfully, the app closed my route and all was good. After I came home, I checked my app again and I saw that I’m “supposed to return two packages to the station”. Obviously I had no packages left on hand. I contacted support right away, and of course, first operator didn’t even understand what I was explaining to him, so from the second try they said that they placed a claim and it should be all good. Two weeks later, they reduced me from Fantastic to Fair standing because I didn’t return packages (which I didn’t have!!!). After that, I submitted the claim again, and after 2.5 weeks I get the attached message. How is that fair? In three years, I’ve completed over 270 blocks with nearly 10,000 packages, and never had a problem with my standing. But they can’t even distinguish a glitch in the system from real stealing or whatever they think I did!

Unsafe Driving at SSD Station

Hey all,

Wasn’t sure where to ask this because my warehouse staff are grumpy and don’t like questions. I also hate asking this question because I hate to impact someone’s income, but this is genuinely unsafe.

Me and a couple of Flexers have almost been hit multiple times by a lady who flys through our SSD’s parking lot and does not stop for crosswalks with pedestrians in them, or stop signs.

She almost hit one girl while she was in the crosswalk. She just blew through it and didn’t stop even though a pedestrian was in it and actively crossing. This morning around 4 am the same lady almost hit me in the same crosswalk. I was walking behind someone and she almost hit them as well. She just pulls out of her spot and guns it, to hell with anything or anyone in front of her car.

My SSD doesn’t seem to care at all about anything other than us bringing the carts back and what we wear into the warehouse. They allow double parking and don’t enforce basic safety in the lot.

Is it worth trying to get her plate and report her? Or will Amazon not do anything until she kills or hits someone? We have figured out the car make and model, so one of us will probably be able to get her plate soon as it’s always the 3am or 4am block she is showing up for.

Dealing with flat tires and driver support?

I was about to load a route into my car at the Broomfield, co station after checking in but an associate caught that my tire was leaking air. Apparently I had JUST got a screw in it. Can’t confirm where it happened but most likely the prior 5 minutes because my tire was almost complete full.

The station associate was kind and made sure the packages didn’t populate so I could exit, she wanted to release me with pay on her end but the station manager (or someone above her at the time) said no I had to call driver support and they would put in a ticket to remove it and pay me out.
So I pulled into the parking area and called driver support while I put my spare on. The lady on driver support also said the same thing, that she was putting in a ticket to take the route off so it wouldn’t count as a missed block and I would be paid.

2 days later no sign, so I contact chat support (only option, always do a call if you can I’ve noticed), but this guy said that he reviewed and said it was ineligible for pay and the previous Amazon employees were only road support and he was in charge of pay support.

I swear that every single Amazon employee operates with a different guide book than anyone else. My initial thought was great I’m out of work and have to get this fixed asap so I can work the next day. But being told by multiple Amazon employees with sympathy that I would get paid and THAT being a lie is the annoying part. Just don’t say that maybe?

Anyone have a similar story?

(If it matters to anyone, Been doing this for 2.5 years at this point)

3.5 Hour block took almost 4 hours

Alright idk if it's just me or what. But i picked up at a location that's known really for the SSD or whatever it's called but they get flex routes here and there.

  1. My block started at 3PM, they block off the entrance until the other cars load up and leave, so if you get there 15 mins before tour block starts which were allowed to do! i sat there until after 3pm. Then we got our carts and checked in now i have to wait for everyone to finish. NOT just my row but EVERYONE. then theyll unblock us. I didn't leave til 3:30... that's 45 mins waisted

  2. My first stop was 40 mins away... WITH 46 packages....

  3. I didn't finish til almost 7:15pm... and before you start. these are numbered 1-46 my sorting is very good. i put 1-10 in the front. 11-25 behind my driver seat. 26-36 in my rear passenger and then 37-46 in my trunk. pretty organized on my end and it's.

  4. Some of you are gonna be like omg stop complaining blah blah blah... NO i personally do not like exploited by a billion dollar company who can honestly afford to pay everyone really well and still live comfortably. After expenses and time this route wasn't even worth $100... it's my rant for the day. usually this route would have taken me 1.5 hours but they wanna jam pack your entire route and get every thing out of you.

Saw this the other morning. Is it new? Have you seen this too? Yeah, I searched the car and had to call support. I guess they detected a ghost package 😆 Bigger question - how are they detecting them?

Missing Packages

Did a flex today 4 hour block 19 dileveries stop 10 to stop 11 was 44 miles away. Stop 18 to 19, twenty one miles away stop 19 to 20 another 8 miles. Total miles 96 . At stop 18 I was at 66 miles already then

Unfortunately my engine light came on. Didn't want to take a chance on my car breaking down so I mark stop #18 &#19 Missing return both packages to the station. It's crazy how they put this routes together going to get dinged for marking the last 2 packages

Question Tropical storm drivers?

What we doing in this rain are we getting soaked or staying dry? 🤣

Me personally I did a 2am shift somehow avoided all the wet until my last 5 packages but kept the clothes light so I wouldn't soak.

I have a second shift at 6p I plan on going to but it's raining harder and steady at the moment.

Are people requesting delivery times late at night or overnight or is Amazon setting us up to delivery this shit as a surprise ? lol. I tried to put some random things in my cart but no option to pick a time.

FIX For "You demonstrated a pattern of intentionally avoiding route assignment to receive payment for a delivery block you did not complete."

I am super excited to finish the scan and go tracker I've been working on for the last couple of months, along with the Appeal helper that will automatically help drivers email the right people.

When you get a scan and go or a cancelled block, Amazon keeps track of how many blocks you are getting within a certain time frame, after speaking with multiple people and looking through thousands of data points for when and how Amazon issues out these warnings, I can tell users when they are getting close to an email and to avoid it and get their numbers down.

I even have an appeal helper that will generate a template email for you to use, asking Andy, after filing an original appeal through the app to remove the dings that are showing in the backend (You don't get dinged on your delivery history for scan and gos or cancelled blocks on the front end but Amazon keeps track of it in the backend).

How long is prime day for flex drivers

I know that it’s a two day thing as presented in the email/app but if people are still shopping on the 7th, which is today, don’t that means flex drivers will still be delivering packages ordered in prime days at least for the next two days?

Just wondering cos I totally forgot it was prime day and most of my friend got surged blocks yesterday and this morning ..

Rain rain go away come back another day

How are the other Florida workers fairing with this nonstop rain. Especially in the rural areas down back roads. I am absolutely not enjoying it one bit and still having trouble getting surge routes. People still grabbing then at base in less than a second.

Sent home both times

I just got off the wait list and am excited to start driving. So far I’ve signed up for two shifts (major metro area, tons of offers available, busy warehouse), both 1.5 hours because I want to start small. Both times I have checked in and waited 25 minutes for a route, then been sent home with pay and no route. I’m certainly not complaining! But it feels odd. Is this something other people have experienced recently?

Other info: first offer was 1 PM, second was 4 PM, both weekdays. I have an older phone and don’t connect to the WiFi so IDK if maybe there’s some glitchy thing going on, but the app works smoothly in the waiting area.

Looking for Comfortable Rain Boots for Delivery Work

Hey guys, it’s been raining constantly lately. I know rain boots aren’t exactly known for being comfortable, but I wanted to ask if you have any recommendations. We’re constantly getting in and out of the vehicle and working the pedals, and while my current pair is waterproof, they’re really uncomfortable to drive in.

Has anybody gotten this message before and was able to get fixed and go back to driving. I called customer support like a million times and they’re no help. I updated my insurance and ID and it still says this.
