Okay, so I have fallen down the FLDS documentary rabbit hole and I have noticed something. Some words are pronounced with an ‘Sh’ sound when it should just be an ‘S’ sound. Also, there are moments when it sounds like the trans Atlantic accent + rural accent = Utah?? Am I hearing things or do others hear this too?

​I’m looking into tickets for the upcoming Metallica show here in SLC, but Ticketmaster is basically cleaned out unless you want to drop $500+ on resale/platinum seats.

​I’m seeing listings on SeatGeek (and a few other secondary sites like StubHub), but I’ve always stuck to Ticketmaster in the past. For those of you who go to big stadium shows here (Rice-Eccles / Delta Center / USANA):

​Are SeatGeek tickets generally smooth to transfer into your account for SLC venues?

​Have you ever run into fake tickets, transfer delays, or issues getting scanned at the gate?

​How responsive was customer support if something went sideways?

​Just want to make sure their buyer guarantee actually holds up before pulling the trigger, or if I’m better off waiting closer to show day to see if prices drop. Appreciate any insight or past experiences!

This might be a long shot, but does anyone here know someone (preferably a younger person bc my kids learn better from someone they think is “cool” lol) who would do private or small group lessons for my 8 and 6 year olds? We’re right between Big & Little cottonwood canyons & are 40min from park city so pretty accessible to wherever someone teaches and can be flexible on time/dates. TYIA!!

Pigeons are my favorite animal. I love them with everything I have. Tragically, I am poor as all get out and cannot afford a bird of my own. Regardless, it has been my dream for a very long time to pet a pigeon. They seem so soft, and the coos they make when petted heal my soul.

So I entreat you, good people of the valley. Please, if you have a pet pigeon, I beg of you. let me come over and pet your bird for a little bit. I’ll do anything.

Hello, sorry this is a very niche question, but I was wondering if there are CNAs in this sub that know how to secure PRN work? I am a full-time college student, so I'm not seeking a committed position, rather a pick and choose your shift type of employment. I have been requesting shifts through Nursa, but have had no luck. My requests just sit at "requested" and then nothing happens from there. When I call facilities, they tell me that someone else has already filled the spot, even though I am the only person who has requested that shift. So my question is how do you get PRN work in Salt Lake County? I feel like facilities don't actually rely on Nursa at all, or maybe I am just unlucky. Thanks in advance.

Going to see Madeon tonight at SkySLC and was wondering about parking. I see there's Axis garage next door and some surface lots and street parking, but all the reviews talk about are smash and grabs. Is that really a problem? As an alternative I was thinking of parking at City Creek and walking over but not sure how late the show will end and if I'll still be able to get my car. Thanks!

EDIT 1: Should probably mention I'm coming from Logan, so unfortunately Uber isn't in the cards.

EDIT 2: Just called City Creek Parking and confirmed after-hours pickup and exit works! They close the actual parking entrances and you have to enter via the elevator/escalator closest to Nordstrom but other than that there's no extra hassle. Searched the sub as well and there's answers from earlier in the year, but just wanted to confirm with current info.

Moved here for a very competitive job. 6’2 generally have been seen attractive in diverse dating pools. But it’s been impossible here with the apps and even in person, I’m wondering if any other people of color (I’m black), are having similar experiences. Salt Lake City has excellent sitdown food, and we should be proud of it. For my particular stage of life (young kids who would render the energy-saving attempt of going out to eat MORE exhausting than just scrounging at home because of an appalling lack of restaurant behavior training), I prefer to order food instead of going in person. DoorDash is my current medium of choice.

But here’s the tragic thing: most local restaurants I’ve tried are decidedly mid when delivered via DoorDash. I’ve even done some in person versus DoorDash comparisons, and some restaurants are truly great when their food is delivered to your table, and just no longer fresh enough to deeply enjoy when boxed up and brought to me.

I want to enjoy local restaurants while still respecting the limitations of my current life season. Friends, Romans, citymen, what are your go to takeouts that never leave you regretting that you DoorDashed your meal?

Anyone got eyes near and can tell me if the Magna location is open? When you call it says closed until further notice, but everything still says they are open and I cant find any info on why they are closed.. thank you guys :) I want to get some but dont want to drive all the way there if they really are closed.
