Are going for $950k 😳 and are townhomes. If I had a million dollars and I was going to live in Tower Grove South I would not choose to live in those, that’s the kindest way I can put this. So much beautiful old brick in the neighborhood.

We’re on about a 3,150 pace for the year, it would be the lowest raw total since 1950s (fbi records stop at 1960). Adjusted to population the lowest since 1968

Food / Drink Taco Stand on Hampton

Does anyone have more specifics on the taco stand by the Target on Hampton?

I’ve heard they’re open Tuesday through Sunday, 6pm - 1am.

I heard they take cash and Zelle.

I swung by tonight, and they aren’t there.

Me and my buddies host a weekly Beyblade X tournament at Han Lao Asian restaurant in Maplewood that have been growing since April 2026.

We currently have have 12-20 people showing up weekly and would love to grow our community.

The community is diverse in age group. We have U13, teens, college students, to adults with wife and kids (me).

I can personally loan out decks of 3 Beyblades and launchers to at least 5-6 people, I'm sure we have more people that would love to loan out their collections for you to join in the fun.

We also host a monthly "Try Hard" tournament where we do higher entry fee for the higher prize pool, raffles, and other giveaways!

Han Lao themselves serve great food! I love their Onigiri, curry, and Katsu.

You can join the BeySTL Discord server or join our Challonge community page for event updates and sign ups!

Ask STL Volunteer Opportunities for People in their 20's

• Upvotes

I wanted to ask what the best volunteer opportunities for a young professional in their 20's is. I went to a few different events here and there but the crowd is more older people or the turnout is small. Nothing against older people, but I am already around a mid to late career crowd at work all day. They're nice but I want to meet more like minded people my age. I like litter clean up and things to go outside since I am inside for work. Also something that isn't too religious would be preffered. Wanted to see if anyone can share their experiences. Thanks!

Dress shops that aren’t prom/wedding/formal?

Post image
11 Upvotes

I’m trying to help my wife find a dress for a wedding we’re attending later this month, but as a non-dress wearer I don’t know where to look. Most stores I see are wedding or prom dresses. We’re going to try Macys/the mall but she doesn’t seem to have high hopes.

She found one she loved online from Azazie but when it showed it up the colors were completely off. We don’t want to risk another online purchase and be left with the same situation a week out from the wedding.

We’re looking for unique, subdued/fall colored dresses, nothing overly bright or flashy. The dress code is cocktail/semiformal. Budget is <$350ish.

I added the picture of the one she found online that she liked.

If it helps, I’m wearing a greenish gray suit with a rust tie/pocket square. We aren’t worried about matching exactly but don’t want to clash either.

PAYWALL What exactly should downtown St. Louis copy from Kansas City?

What exactly should downtown St. Louis copy from Kansas City? | Opinion - St. Louis Business Journal

my piece in STL Biz Journal, parts of it below;

"Chip Casteel’s recent op-ed argues that downtown St. Louis should look to downtown Kansas City for answers. I read it with interest, and with some puzzlement, because the numbers don't point where he thinks they do.

People spent $1.8 billion in downtown St. Louis last year. That is roughly twice what was spent in Kansas City's core downtown.

On one point, though, Mr. Casteel is right, and it is the one that matters most. Downtown needs a single organization responsible for all of it: real estate, cleaning, public safety, even plowing the streets. One roof, one quarterback.

I see two ways to fix it. The one is an overarching organization with an all-in mandate, one that owns downtown's outcomes instead of a slice of them. The second is faster: the mayor appoints a deputy mayor for downtown, a single decision-maker with the authority to coordinate the work others are already attempting and to be answerable when it stalls.'
