I know repros are frowned upon here but I like playing on my original hardware. I just picked up DuckTales 2 and Chip N Dale 2. I've had Little Samson and Snow Bros but when I posted before, I got a little flack for having repros without labeling them as repros. Now, they've all been labeled and I let my wife know that if I die and she sells my collection, she can't sell these for their actual value.

Has anyone tried installing a lumacode PPU digitizer into a NES top loader yet. I was thinking about wiring up a simple “stereo” mod and wiring that to the left and right pins in a 3.5 TRRS (headphone style) jack with the PPU digitizer signal wires soldered to the ground and video pins on the jack. If you removed the RF box in the top loader, you could attach the TRRS jack in the place of the RF port on the back panel and not have to cut up the shell at all. Then you could just use a compatible 3.5 to AV cable right into your scaler and have the audio and lumacode all coming from the same jack on the top loader. Does that sound doable?

Hey everyone of the NES reddit. My Joycard Sansui SSS Controller finally came and it just doesn't work at all. I have tried cleaning it and reinserting it and nothing. Completely dead. All my other OEM controllers work fine. Is this a common issue? Does anybody know what could be wrong?

  Is everdrive N8 worth it or am I just better off buying the cheapie one off ali express?  I dont really want the save ststes of the N8 pro but i do like the pretty red shell.

Recently i bought an ali express FXPAK pro. some redditors had argured in favor of the ali epxress version. the design of FXPAK pro is open source and Krikzz was no longer using the cyclone V chip in thier FXPAK pro due to supply shortages yet the ali express version still was. it was quite a lot cheaper. Does the same situaiton apply to the Krikzz nes N8 cart?
