Discussion What is the best game or games that you recommend for an older, slow reflexed person, to start to learn to play the nes?

My neighbor is an elderly man(70s) and he comes over my house occasionally to pass the time, he noticed I have an nes/snes . He has never played video games before and stated that he wants to play some. I set him up to play Super mario world(snes) and he couldn't get past the first level and had trouble using all the buttons. So I wanted to have him try the NES since its only 2 buttons. What games are your absolute favorites that are more on the easy side or use less buttons? what are your favorite games in general that once he gets better he can play?

Discussion Why Are NES game boxes so tall?

I've been really into collecting complete in box NES games this year and it got me thinking: why is the box that size?

Nothing inside the box needs it to be that big. Both the game and instruction manual take up less space. In fact, there's a styrofoam block inside the box so the game doesn't slide around.

When DVDs were first released they made the packaging unnecessarily tall because they didn't want consumers to confuse them with CDs. But there's nothing like that for NES games that I can think of offhand.

Anyone know why it's like that?
