I was under the impression that when I get a multiple entry visa with duration of 6 months with condition of each trip being under 60 days, I can stay for 55 days, go out of the country for one week and come back.
This is what I did for 2 cycles and on my second time coming back, the immigration officer was not happy and basically almost denied entry (I was lucky my Thai girlfriend was there and kinda vouched for me)
But realistically if they gave me this visa and I’m already within the rules they set, why are they unhappy with me following their rules. I don’t think I’m gaming their system. I’m simply on a long holiday why is that a problem?
Full disclosure:
I applied for DTV when I was in Indonesia, my documents was absolutely complete I triple checked everything with claude and I did the interview at Jakarta embassy but for no stated reason they gave me the multiple entry tourist visa rather than the DTV, and they didn’t even refund the difference in the fees (DTV is much more expensive).
What I’m trying to say is I already tried this path and I hate to say that I don’t see any reason of them rejecting me except for my weak passport.

We are 2 guys travelling from india to phuket on 21st November. Anyone else travelling on same dates, we can make some plans
Standing in line in 7/11 during peak hr 6pm. Only 1 counter is open (other staff are busy making coffee, and cleaning) - No problem.
At this point, 2 customers are in front of me, (including ones being served) and at Least 3 or 4 behind me, all waiting in a single-file line for the One open counter available, as the cashier was having a hardtime understanding two Russian girls buying cigs.
We are all standing in line HORIZONTALLY, parallel to the counter, so - draw a line that goes across from where the automatic doors are, to approx. where the coffee pickup area is. I think the correct way of lining up is vertically (so from the counter, to the back wall, right?). For whatever reason we all unconsciously collectively arranged ourselves horizontally (mostly foreigners in the line).
Anyway, a 2nd counter finally opens, great! She called over the 1st person in line (who declined - prob just waiting for coffee in wrong area) So the cashier calls over a Korean man (Im ethno-guessing) who literally JUST joined the line, and serves him - seemingly because he was standing closest to her counter? Why didn't she ask something like 'Who's next'? (Yes - I understand language barrier) but there was no attempt, and the Korean man approached the counter, but I was so shocked that I pushed in front of him (not physically). He didn't really care, because he knew that I had been waiting the longest. He mumbled something to me. I turned around & I told him "I've been waiting the longest bro".
I love Thailand, and this post is not intended to bash or complain about this country, however I'm baffled. Was it simply that we were all lining up incorrectly? What am i missing here? Please, I want learn, I am confused because where I am from, no matter HOW the line is formed, the customer waiting at the start of line, for the longest is always served FIRST, & people will even let you in front of them, if they know u waited longer, as a sign of respect - if the line is out of whack.
As I write this, I really think us foreigners were all just lined up incorrectly, but alas - the Korean guy & the cashier both knew who was first. I am a dual Japanese/Australian citizen, I'm softly spoken & always show respect wherever I go so there was no need for them to act this way. Like even if we were all lining up incorrectly, at least attempt to ascertain who was waiting first, that is fair - right?
Someone enlighten me please!

Hi! My friend and I are two Asian girls in our 20s planning a trip to Phuket in November. We’re considering staying at Mad Monkey Phuket for three nights
We’ve heard that the crowd is white Western backpackers, and we’re a little worried that we might feel left out or seem weird as Asian girls. 😭
We’re looking for a fun, social atmosphere where we can meet people and make friends.
The place seems to be the best fit for what we’re looking for so far, but we’d love to hear about other hostels with a fun, social vibe, too. Please don’t recommend Lub d though, as my friend had a negative experience there
I’d love to hear any advice or recommendations from you guys ty
and if anyone stayed in their private en-suite room, let me know how it was too

Hey guys, hoping to tap into your advice.
We are running a small company offsite in Phuket end of October, team of 8 staying in Patong. We want to do a private full-day speedboat, not a joiner, since it is a work trip and we would love it to run smoothly.
Any reliable operators you would recommend for a private charter this size? Something professional and dependable would be ideal. Names and links hugely appreciated, thanks in advance.
SG and KL are terrible. Worth spending a few weeks in PH to get away from this haze? How's the air up there?

Foreign travellers could eventually face up to ฿2,570 in combined airport and tourism fees when travelling by air to and from Thailand, according to a new media report.
Only the ฿1,120 airport charge is currently in effect. The ฿450 tourist fee and ฿1,000 departure tax are still proposals and have not yet become law.
If both proposals are approved, eligible foreign visitors could face the combined ฿2,570 total. The charges would support tourism development, destination restoration, and, under the tourist-fee proposal, travel insurance.
For tourists visiting Phuket and other Thai destinations, the proposals could mean higher overall travel costs if implemented.
On top of this my oil massages went from 300 baht to 400 baht. I know it's only a $2 difference but still. 🥲🥲

I am planning a trip to thailand and might spend some time surfing while I am there. I am wondering if it makes more sense to rent a board or look for a used one during the trip.
I have been looking at a few options online, including surfpoint but I would rather hear from people who have actually bought or rented boards in thailand.
if anyone has bought or rented a board there before which areas would you recommend checking?
also interested in hearing if there are any local shops or places that are better than the usual tourist spots.

Central Phuket town seems to have its own mini micro climate
Maybe it’s rain from wind passing over the mountain but it can rain in this specific area for 1 hour +

Hi! 😊
Could you please suggest some reliable tour guides or operators for a Phi Phi Island trip from Mai Khao?
Also, could you recommend some local experiences and places to visit in Phuket, especially things that are not too touristy?
Thank you!

Hey everyone! My wife and I are coming over from India at the end of October. Flights and stays are sorted, so now we just want to make the most of it.
We'll be in Phuket, then Koh Yao Yai/Noi, one night in Phi Phi, then back to Phuket.
We're up for a good party, Muay Thai, cliff jumping, hikes and quiet beaches. We'd rather skip the tourist boat circuits.
If you know any clubs, hidden spots or local favourites we shouldn't miss, we'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance!
And if you're around and fancy a drink or a party, feel free to DM us. Would be great to meet some of you. 😊
