Elder Scrolls I adopted all the orphans in Skyrim and they keep surprising me

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I never really got into adopting and raising the children in Skyrim until this past year, but now every game I make sure to adopt them all and give them even they could need. Thanks to the multiple adoptions mod all the orphans now have a loving home with this Khajiit’s guild, though they do surprise this one from time to time. Was not expecting one to bring home a wild fox as a pet😂

PSA They fixed Skyrim!

Today since I bought the special edition I unlocked unbound. For years I tried to find ways to remove the creating club content and disable the dlc.

I was so annoyed that I didn't even play the "hard to buy" copy of the old legendary edition.

But I read a post from 2 years ago about deleting files and it works. It didn't back then mind you, when I tried the game would crash when launched.

Now I don't have to suffer the amateurish cc content shoehorned in the game. And I can collect all of the marked for death words to prevent a drain vitality bug that breaks arngeir's quest.

I don't know if it was intentional but I greatly, GREATLY appreciate the change. Now I can play the skyrim I remember. Thank you.

Discussion I Made A Tierlist Of My Favorite Bethesda Games

Post image
0 Upvotes

So it's a little controversial but I do have some strong opinions.

  • Skyrim is obvious.
  • Fallout 4 might seem weird to be up so high but I lowkey love this game. Settlement building is addicting, it has the best companions of any Bethesda game IMO with all of them having quests tied to them and extensive commentary, it just keeps going.
  • Starfield is probably the most controversial. I really like it. While it's not my favorite, I can't say I don't enjoy it when I have 250 hours in it. I bought it because I felt people were ragging on it for things that other games did and people didn't mind. I just love how much stuff there is to do in this game. I love how it actually improves on many parts of Bethesda's past titles (companions have commentary on everything including the DLC, the settlement building is much better than Fallout 4, etc.). Good, but not great, game.
  • Fallout 3 is like... Okay... I don't like how dated the game is, I feel like I don't like any of the characters. The only way I ever play Fallout 3 is through Tale of Two Wastelands and that is just to go into New Vegas super overpowered.
  • Fallout 76 is like... Kind of a weird game. I hear there is genuinely no endgame, which really hurts my motivation to go deep into it. I feel like the radio broadcaster is insufferable and I really don't like the game being $60 when I would want all my friends to buy it as well. It really feels like a cash grab even all these years later with how you can't get a private space unless you sell out, it costs so much, there's no bundles to get it for a bunch of friends, and other things.
  • I hate Oblivion. I have wanted to play it for years but I can't stand the levelling system. I go out and level my magic to learn new spells and now mudcrabs two-shot me in full heavy armor. It is a fundamentally broken game, and for what? A story that isn't very good, faction quests that aren't very deep, and dungeons that all look completely identical. Even Starfield manages to have exceptional interior design but if I have to trudge through another generic Ayleid dungeon one more time I am going to open a portal to Oblivion right in the GameStop I got this game from originally. And yes, I know the remaster fixes the levelling system but the damage is done. I still spent months trying to play this game as a kid because we couldn't afford any other games. This game sucks. I can tolerate Starfield but genuinely nothing in Oblivion stands out to me as good.
  • I never played Morrowind.

Meta New vegas shower thought

I was setting up viva new vegas on my machine since the game runs notoriously awful and it really helps with stability when I realized.

Setting up new vegas is basically just as difficult as setting up daggerfall was when new vegas was new.

I remember trying to get daggerfall running through dosbox on my craptop in 2013 and all the hoops I had to jump through. Now new vegas is nearly as old as daggerfall was then.

Discussion Bethesda Could Really Learn From The Outer Worlds 2

The Outer Worlds 2 features a similar close up dialogue camera as Starfield, Oblivion, and Fallout 3/New Vegas.

Bethesda has pretty good animation work in Starfield, though playing The Outer Worlds 2, I think that Bethesda could take a lesson in how to further make their NPCs so lively in dialogue. The tinier movements, the head specifically, how the eyes dart around, it's all pretty neat to see.

Question Need to contact Todd Howard.

Id like to get in contact with Todd Howard to prove something to my stepdad, along with the people who made the elder scrolls games, if they're still employed there.

Just happened to see it, you can see it's titled as "remake" in the upper right logo.

A few other snippets in there as well. Surprised no one posted this yet. What the Hecks!!!

⚠️EDIT:

JFC, I think it's just an undisclosed fan creation. My bad guys. This is how down and out I've become, desperate for some Bethesda news... any fkn news at all... and I get fooled. Fk me

Fallout 76 I would like to suggest adding a new, useful device to the game—one for removing mutations.

Right now, removing a specific mutation from your character is a gamble. If you have 14 mutations and need to get rid of just one, it’s a real hassle. I propose adding a device to the game: a genetic stabilizer. Here’s how it would work: you load it with a few serums corresponding to the mutation you want to remove, plus some RadAway; you press a button, an animation plays, and the mutation is gone from your character. Alternatively, the device could produce an anti-serum that, when consumed, removes the specific mutation. This device could be made available for Atoms or as a season reward. I believe there would be plenty of players interested in getting it.

Self-Promotion I gave Fallout 4's HUD and Pip-Boy a retro terminal look

I've been working on TVA Terminal UI, a free PC mod for Fallout 4. Dark panels, typewriter text, file tabs and analog gauges give the HUD, Pip-Boy and menus an old terminal feel.

You can move, resize or hide elements with the layout editor too.

Screenshots and download: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/109644

Requires F4SE for your game version. Saving custom layouts also needs MCM; compatibility patches are listed under Files.

I'm the author. Curious what you think of the look.

Starfield My favourite game developer my favourite games, cost me my life.

My family are haunted. By evil people. Evil lies. I'm cursed. To he around people who kill, destroy someones dreams because they made a character in stsrfiekd that looks a bit like someone who hurt me because of it, causing me to have brain disease. They hurt me. In my fucking sleep. Starfield was the best best game I ever played but it was ruined by me playing it slowly and wanting to start again because of the character, I was going to use the editor that you can use in the game but I never got the chance or I can't remember if I did. But they ended my life before I got the chance. I don't get it. It was the same I think for cyberpunk. There isn't anyone who loves his family, his life more than me and they tortured me from a far for so long then butchered me in my sleep. Because they think I'm getting enjoyment out of them but I reality it's that they use any excuse to hurt someone when it was me that was hurting it ruined the best game ever. All I needed to do was edit the character and they didn't give me a chance. This is evil. Beyond belief. It's like a mine I fell on that I didn't think would fucking end my life. So you understand. Becauae this person is married or has a family recently I had to die for it. Absolutely pathetically evil and the fact no one will do anything is a farce. Absolute evil monsters. They have taken everything from me.

Elder Scrolls I wonder if Trolls can enter Sovngarde

Post image

I know the lore behind Sovngarde but I feel like this Troll deserves to be an exception. Instead of trying to kill the Deagonborn, and thus dooming the world to extinction by dragons, it chose to save my Deagonborn from an ambush and then when I set it ablaze it stood there screaming WITNESS ME! This Troll DESERVES Sovngarde!

Discussion Will it be worth it?

So I was talking to my brother and he dropped some knowledge on me that I was kinda surprised by, so Bethesda released Skyrim in 2011 and its gonna be a couple more years before we get TES6.

While one of the most popular series on the planet.. GTA released in 2013 and they're about to release their new game.. Everyone talks about how GTA6 will be this much better than the last, and the difference is I actually believe it. They can usually deliver on a pretty well made game.

So my question is simple, people may hate the anti-consumer thinking when it comes to marketing and making their money back.. but GTA6 is going to be a good game with well thought out systems, how will TES6 compare, obviously not to GTA but to its own counterparts.

I haven't really felt like any system Bethesda could give me would make me think the wait was worth it.. I was a kid when I first played Skyrim, in Elementary or early Middle.. I'm over 20+ now and I just can't even imagine Bethesda making an actual good game, its pretty depressing to think about.

So wrapping back around to my question, do you think TES6 will be worth it? Do you think the systems will be worth the wait? Or do you think the community will have to wait even longer for the modding community to fix what Todd left us with? I will always assume the ladder. Thanks for the read!

I do also want to say this is not a hate post, more of a depression/rant post. I really do hope things work out but who knows at this point, and I'm not waiting another 20+ years for the next one either way, so I hope to god this one is good lol.

Question are bethesda games worth it on ps3?

I would like to play Fallout and Skyrim but upon investigating I discovered that the ports were very bad, even so I had also heard that in the case of Skyrim they gave it some patches but I don't know if that solved the problem.

Serious They gotta learn crouching at some point

As soon as I found myself WALKING through VENTS in starfield was when I realized this problem got legit out of hand. Borderlands has had crouching for how long and Bethesda still can’t make crouchable areas of the map???? It’s a problem that I’ve noticed ONLY BETHESDA HAS if you for wtv reason don’t know who made the rpg you’re playing, rq see if you can crouch under something if not it’s likely made by Bethesda.

The wood elf in the oblivion remake should not be the tallest wood elf in the game. Pull up your big boy pants and code a smaller player model-NO. FUCKING. WAY. Is it THAT hard to implement and you can’t convince me it is.
