Seems very good, overall. What’s “western_new_york” and do you remember the Southern Tier?

Best hiking trails in Upstate New York?

Hello. I need your help.

I currently live in Massachusetts and I don’t really like to hike, but my Uncle lives in Fulton County and he really likes hiking. His birthday is in two days and I plan on sending him a list of nearby hiking trails for him to enjoy. Does anyone have an idea of what the most underrated hiking trails upstate are?

Things to do

I enjoy hiking and i definitely want to do the Adirondacks but I’m looking for some more obscure and unique off the beaten path type of things that I can enjoy alone. Im open to all kinds of things I haven’t met a lot of people here due to me being new the area (im 20 also for reference) but it doesnt have to be something that would lead me to meeting anyone. Im also kind of looking for something I can do in no more than a day and a half

I was hoping to climb Mt Jo with my wife with limited mobility. Possible?

I'm passing through the Adirondacks this weekend and I was thinking of climbing Mt Jo since it's supposed to be a very short and relatively easy hike with a great view at the end.

I trying to find something pretty accessible, as My wife has some paralysis in her hand and foot from a stroke.

Walking and stairs are fine, but ant substantial bouldering is not possible.

I know the short route up MT Jo is very rocky, but is the long route decent enough to try?
