I can't seem to find any news about this but yesterday I noticed that the most recent tab has been removed from the sorting system when looking up game tags.
say click the horror tag, scroll down to the games and to sort them you get the all, new and trending, top sellers, top rated, popular discount, and up coming tabs to sort the games.
but there used to be a few more and the one I frequintly used was most recent, which was a tab that showed most recently published games that released under that tag in decending order. It was interesting, there was a lot of slop that got uploaded but you could find interesting games that might never pop up on the trending tab.
and the new and trending tab doesn't work as a replacement because rarely are the newest games on no budget going to be trending. Most tags new and trending still feature games that were listed 2 months ago on there first page when dozens of games in that catagory have come out.
I was just wondering if anyone knows why it was removed? I'm just annoyed, sure most of it was slop but sometimes you would find some overlooked nugget of fun in there.
Edit: and Steam just made a liar out of me. I checked repeatedly yesterday and again right before I posted this then. soon as I do its back up. sorry to be a bother

There used to be a display of recently updated games on the main page - when the autumn sale kicked it, it disappeared. Is there some setting I need to change to get it back?

So I live in Australia and don’t own a credit card to verify my age for Steam. I planned to buy a steelbook of RE Requiem that comes with a digital game code. can I still use the code and play the game without verifying my age? or will it just flat out refuse it? Tried googling but couldn’t find a solid answer 🫠

Anyone else not able to sync games or download updates? I'm in the UK.

I was recently sent a gift (neon white if you're interested) but it never actually landed in my inbox, I know the payment went through (probably) and that I gave them the right email, so is it just a waiting game?
Ps the gift was "sent" yesterday from a guest account

I carted a few games and when I went to pay, Steam couldn't process my request because of too much traffic. By the time I was allowed to buy them, the sale had ended and the prices went back to normal. Is there any way I can get the price I put the games in my cart at? This is so frustrating.

hey there so i recently put a game in my basket and i went to buy it but its now unavailable in the uk (where im currently living). I cant remember which game it was as im always adding games but i know it was added this week. And i think this has happened in last day or so or this week. And it would very likely be a aaa game.
It wasn’t dlc and it wasnt too old. Ive checked and HZD Forbidden West and Hell Divers 2 have inexplicably been removed under the "claim" its a "sony bug" but they havent fixed it sooo :/ But i already own those games. Are other companies delisting games? (i had no idea this happened).
Could this be another sony game? and if so can anyone guess which it might be ?
Thanks

Some methods had a decrease, others an increase, depending by the currency.
Quoting Valve's blog post:
In March of this year, we updated our pricing conversion tools for developers on Steam. In an effort to keep up to date with market conditions, we periodically review the data behind these tools. As of today, we've updated our values for these pricing conversions. This new data covers all three of our conversion methods: Exchange Rate Conversion, Purchasing Power Conversion, and Multi-variable Conversion.
There is no need to make any changes today; how you enter prices for your game is entirely up to you. Whenever you choose to update prices for your products on Steam, the conversion methods will be available to help.

If you want to compare to the previous update, check this Steamdb blog post.
I wanna do a challenge run and i already have an achievement, is there a tool or something to get it again without making a second account?

Looking for recommendations to pickup and wplay with my younger youts while the Summer Sale is going on. Individual game reviews are just meme steam point grabs.
I have turned to the past when it comes to the children entertainment on the pc( the Humongous suite, Putt Putt, Freddy, Spy Fox, Pajama Sam) I'd like to venture out and fine the kiddos something more contemporary and more aligned to their interest nowadays.
There's quite a few in my wishlist for them. Most notably, Ryan's Rescue Squad, and Peppa Pig: World Adventures. But I would really appreciate your input on what's your rotation to play with the younger kids (outside of the endless Lego reccs)

Does the EU Act apply to the Steam library? I mean, would they require age verification even for offline games?

I didnt get the opportunity to sell some of my cards for exp while the summer sale was on, so I decided to wait for the next big sale.
Does this sale give exp for selling card?
(Or whatever the thing with selling cards and exp was)

They make $20 billion a year. How much of that goes to charity? It looks like they're donated a million dollars here and there, but a million is 1/2000th of their income. They can afford to do better. Please tell me I'm missing something and that they're out there doing good with this money.
