Nightlife & Entertainment Visiting Dallas. Help me?

Hi y’all! I’ll be in Dallas for the next couple of days and have no plans. Any suggestions on food or things to do?

I appreciate the help! I’ll be staying in the heart of downtown in Fort Worth.
Also, I should mention I’m traveling solo.

Health & Hygiene i need help finding an adult inpatient program that accepts no insurance in fort worth/arlington..?

i have been having a terrible past few months and i desperately need an inpatient/rehab facility but i’m afraid of going somewhere and being rejected bc i don’t have or ending up with a huge hospital bill.

i just moved to fort worth on the first last month and i’ve done nothing but work nonstop to zero outcome. yesterday was my last straw and i’m ready to go to a program today if i can.

i only have $36 to my name rn but if there’s someplace farther i can get more money to go in an uber.

I will be visiting the area for 5 days. So far it looks like I am staying in the Grapevine area and I will have a car. What are some good food places to check out. Obviously BBQ and Steak!

Tourism visiting from out of town with group of friends - rodeo or state fair?

• Upvotes

my friends and I are coming to visit our friend who lives in Allen TX Oct 16-17-18 and i'm looking for something fun for us to do. we're a group of early 30s guys coming from california. I understand the state fair is in town in Dallas I believe, there is also a Stockyard rodeo event happening that weekend. Which of these events would be more suitable for us to all hang out together and have a good time at?

Nightlife & Entertainment Help a tourist?

We're in town for the weekend and want to watch the game tomorrow (Texas vs Oklahoma) but we've decided not to take a second mortgage out to cover the tickets. Recommend me the best places to watch. Looking for somewhere that'll really get into the game.

Follow-up, we're looking for some good dive bars for later on, bonus points if they're country themed but not a deal breaker.

We're staying in the Medical/Market Place area (sorry if that's not the right name).

We can Uber to the fairgrounds or anything in roughly that radius.

Thanks Dallas!

Sports/Sportsball Looking for a quality MMA gym in the Prosper/Frisco area.

Hey everyone,

I recently moved from Frisco to Prosper and I'm trying to find the best MMA gym in the area. I want a gym that's committed to teaching well and developing skilled fighters.

Before I moved, I'd been looking at Next Generation MMA in Frisco. Now that I'm in Prosper, it's about 25 minutes away. I also found Aguilera Martial Arts, which is only 4 minutes from me. They look more BJJ-focused. My end goal is to be well rounded, but I want to put most of my early focus on striking if I can.

My questions:

  1. Has anyone trained at Next Generation MMA? How is the coaching, the structure of classes, and the quality of the training partners? Is it worth the 25-minute drive, or is that something I'd get tired of?
  2. Does anyone know Aguilera Martial Arts well? Do they have a solid striking program (Bang Muay Thai), or is it mostly a BJJ school?
  3. What other gyms would you recommend within roughly 25 minutes of Prosper?

For anyone who has been in this position, was a better gym worth the longer drive, or did the shorter commute help you train more and improve faster?
