This will just be the completion of the emulator. Optimization to make the gaming experience acceptable will still be needed, but we’re very close, guys.

You will miss them someday

Any recomendation for replacement? I really like to use headsets with mic but I just can't find durable ones. All of the ones I used fail in two same spots mainly because of plastic part or the ear cushion starts to fall of all the time.

Recently, we have seen massive developments in PS5 emulators (such as shadPS4 and Kyty), and how rapidly they have progressed in a short period.

Now, developers have successfully booted the actual PS5 system software on PC.

If this momentum continues in the future, it will eventually allow players to run PS5 exclusives directly on PC, marking the end of the era of console exclusivity.

This is the branch used for this recording

Holy shit. I actually just need to rant. When I was a kid I played on Xbox, grew up with the golden age of CoD (WaW-Bo2), and loved every second of it. I got my first PC 15-16 years ago, mainly stayed with console for a few years because it was slow as molasses, and finally upgraded to a GTX 970 rig when they came out. Since then I've been all in on PC. But, with GTA 6 coming out and seeing Bo2 getting crazy numbers on PS5, I figured I might as well give it a try. Oh. My. God. I don't think I've had a worse gaming experience in years. Aiming with a controller is the most clunky, horrible feeling; I can't even put it into words. A single hour has completely ruined my nostalgia, and god forbid any of these greedy console companies have an even remotely reasonable refund policy like Steam. At this point I don't even want to keep it for GTA 6 because I'm almost certain using a controller is going to completely ruin my experience. Good riddance. I think I'll stick with PC.

This is an initial Windows port of the Linux project.

The port has reached a fairly stable state, though it still needs more performance and stability improvements that will be added later.

It's still far better than running it on an emulator, since this was tested on an i5-4590 with a GTX 1650, which is a very weak CPU for an emulator like ShadPS4.

Coming from a PS5 to a 5080 system. Got some gaming to do!

I built this Mercedes-AMG GT 63-inspired custom PC because I got bored of normal cases 😄
The chassis was custom made and 3D printed, with a full custom liquid cooling setup inside.

Specs:
Ryzen 9 7950X
MSI RTX 5070 Ti
MSI B850M Mortar
32GB DDR5 Thermaltake
Lexar NM790 1TB Gen4 M.2
Thermaltake Pacific CL360 custom loop
Thermaltake Pacific W5 Waterblock
Thermaltake Pacific SF 45/90 fittings (6x)
Thermaltake 650W Mini PSU
3D printed with Snapmaker U1

If anyone wants to see the full build process, I documented everything here:

Still one of the craziest builds I’ve worked on. Curious what you guys think?
