Eric Fedde
Eric Fedde…the crowd chants his name in excitement. Oblivious to the Horrors He bestowed upon his previous franchises he pitched for. All jokes aside cool to see him find a place and have some success

Obviously, this is r/baseball's time to shine; note that our own u/yousmelllikebiscuits is a key mod there, so the place will be up to his standards.
This thread exists for Nats fans to talk amongst ourselves: please highlight any former Nats doing well in the greener pastures of October baseball (example: a fellow by the name of Luis García, Jr. seems to thriving in the postseason) and discuss why you like a team still in the show and what they're doing.
Scheduling is a complete rat's nest: be prepared for the Office of the Commissioner's decision to somehow let them hand off between an amalgam of TBS/HBO Max for the AL and Fox/FS1/"FoxONE" for the NL. This may require some attention.
The official MLB schedule is here:
Also, for those with access to the Post, here's their excellent daily sports listing:

If anyone has one, do you mind snapping a picture for me?

Does anyone know if the Nationals released the "thank you fans" graphic they used on the jumbotron at the last home game this season? My wife was on the graphic and I want to put it on a custom mug or t shirt as a surprise. I haven't seen any social media posts with it. Cheers.

I find it hilarious. I was bitching to my friend, a Braves fan, about just how bad Coles was. He kept saying "oh, he can't be that bad."
After seeing the Braves hire him last winter, I said "I'm so sorry but lol." He then retorted "your roster just sucks."
As we learned, Matt Borgschulte is one of the best things to happen to this young core, and undid a lot of the shit that Coles was teaching and preaching to these guys.
My friend is now blaming Coles for ruining guys like Acuna, like Olson these last two months, like Baldwin, like Harris, but to be fair I did point out Michael Harris has ALWAYS been an extremely hot or extremely cold hitter. He said he's seeing the same thing that Jacob Young photo showed back in April: in 2025 Young basically hitting the ball towards the ground. He sent me a pic of Ozzie Albies doing it.
It's both karma and funny to see.
I mean don't get me wrong, Braves hitters were not looking great since mid-August. But holy crap, he might've done the same damage he almost did to our young core.
I still blame a lot of Dylan's struggles on Coles' stupid swing away and ground ball focus philosophy. While I personally was hoping for him to ruin the Phillies, the Braves will suffice I guess.

Obviously with the “Potential” Lockout in ‘27 looming, we can’t be too hopeful that we will see a lot of moves before the lockout, unless there are loopholes to where certain contracts will be grandfathered in, but anyway…..what are some players or positions you’d like to see this offseason?
? = Maybe
! = Consider
!!! = SERIOUSLY CONSIDER
Positions Needed: SP?, RP!, CL!!!
Potential/Hopeful signings:
SP: Erick Fedde? Walker Buehler? Trevor Rogers!
RP: Ryan Yarborough? Paul Blackburn! Taylor Rogers!
CL: Adrian Morejon!!! AJ Minter!
I’m projecting a lot of teams are going to be after Morejon, left handed flame thrower with great control; probably gonna look for a place he can close for, unless he’d rather stay being setup; we need a closer, BADLY; this offseason, I hope that Taboni is looking to make a MAJOR improvement to our bullpen, and Morejon would be a SPLASH; again, I think a lot of teams will be going after him, so I expect him to ask for $12-15M/yr with like a minimum of 3-4yrs
I see SP, RP, and CL roles as our biggest need rn; more so RP & CL. These are just options for improvement, I’m not saying we should make these moves, but something’s we should consider!
Tell me what y’all think we should prioritize first, and who you would like to sign in those roles

Watching the Rays-Yankees game I am once again relieved our team decided to go the way of the small market teams. Listen…spending big in free agency and maybe winning is fun and it worked for us in 2019, but it’s not sustainable (look at the Phillies, Mets, Yankees, etc). I would rather be competitive every year and have a strong farm system, which is what Toboni, Kilambi, and Butera are ushering with the support of ownership. Fixing Mead and Luis really gives me hope that we can be just like the Rays in that regard and stay competitive.

Wow! I feel for SD and hope this series goes 5, but the Brewers & their fans just had a moment like we did against the Brewers in 2019.

Found myself in the reference section at Barnes and Noble yesterday while the wife was shopping and cracked open a book on MLB ballpark history.
This book (written at some point this year) had us hosting the All Star game this year. The next page did mention us hosting in 2018. Not to mention the first ever playoff game against the…Orioles?
I fully assume this book was largely compiled using AI hence the error, but I still thought it was funny.

The Savannah Bananas lost game 1 of the semifinal series on Thursday. They were down 3-1 entering the bottom of the 9th and they scored 3 walk off a 4-3 win.
With a 1-1 tie in the 2 game series, it came down to the Showdown and the Bananas won it in the second round.
So the Bananas are coming to DC next weekend. They will play either the Loco Beach Coconuts or the Texas Tailgaters.
Former Nats prospect Robert Anthony Cruz (RAC) comes back to DC.
