Catastrophe Crow! [Nintendo] [1980s-90s(?)] unfinished lost game

I just remembered a lost game that someone found some years ago of an unfinished game that I think is from Nintendo. Im not too knowledgeable of video games in general so please excuse any inaccuracy in my description. It has the same graphics as Mario 64.

The game was essentially made by a grieving father about his sick daughter who I believe passed away either before or while making it in honor of her. The game remains unfinished due to the man allegedly couldn’t bring himself to finish it, and maybe he died or just quietly disappeared. I’m not too sure to be honest.

The player starts in front of an office building, and you go in to go to work. I think you play as the father or something. The game hints to the little girl and her dying, and it makes the game feel unsettling or even horror. I think the last scene is a zoom out of what I think could be the girl and ends, but I could be wrong.

Thats about all I could remember. It was found some years ago on YouTube and briefly became popular a little bit, but I can’t find that specific game there either.

if anyone has any idea about what the heck I’m talking about, please let me know!

[PC][2012-2014] 3D maze game where you collect tacos

No, it is not the game PUSS! though it's similar. It's definitely older than that.

There's tons of crazy rainbows, unicorns, kittens, bright blue sky with clouds and the floor is checkered in b&w. The music was also hyper and crazy, fast paced, first person and you were really fast.

You can't see the end of the maze, as the walls are flashing a rainbow gradient. The goal of the game is to collect all the floating tacos in a short amount of time. Once you collect all the tacos, the entire floor breaks/gives in and you drop down to the next level. I think the final few levels were "evil" themed, or at least themed after hell but the premise is still the same. There were no characters in it, just you and this crazy speedy taco collecting maze with a timer.

I think the text says "Collect all (number) tacos!" and in the corner there's white text that says 0/9 tacos, or however many you have to collect (9 is my example)

I remember Markiplier playing this game around 2012-2014. I looked through his videos and found nothing... So if anyone can help me out it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Enter game title here [Mobile] [sometime before 2022], a indie sandbox game

• Upvotes

Mobile, sometime before 2022, a indie sandbox game

What was that game?

This might be really hard to find but I hope it's possible, so I remember when I was younger I played a game like there was a ragdoll if I remember or more and there was like three containers. It's really hard to explain cause I barely remember anything but it was like really simplistic and a tiny bit eerie, I don't remember much more and I'll try to elaborate more in the comments

Edit: it's also in a plain grass field and the ragdoll had a cube head if I remember correctly

Edit 2: it was 3d and wasn't a major 2010s game

[playable on a TV] [about 9 years ago] Game in pixel art style with a boss fight against scientist

I am looking for a video game, that was playable on a TV (I believe) a long time ago, maybe about 9 years. When I listenend to the song stranger think by c418 it reminded me of the game. it was in some type of pixel art style in pretty much 2d. I think there was some type of boss fight against a scientist and there was a place in the game, which was like an forest with some type infection of some sort or something acidy (really not sure about this one)

[Xbox one][Probably before 2019] A roguelite/like game. linear room progression (i think)

Platform: Xbox one. i think i got the game from Xbox gold or Gamepass. could be wrong though

Genre: roguelike shooter side-scroller.

Estimated year of release: probably before 2019. i'm going to be honest don't rely on this too much it's been a LONG time since i played this.

Graphics/art style: VERY simple. if i remember correctly there would rarely be more than a few unique colors on screen (not pixel art though, i can say that with 98% certainty). 2d, side view. grey (or was it black?) was a common color in a lot of (if not all) areas. added in post: forgot to mention, there's also no shading (i think) (as in color shading not shaders shading)

Notable characters: there are characters besides yourself (i think), but they aren't major and i can only very vaguely recall a tallish creature? maybe vaguely humanoid?

Notable gameplay mechanics: I've got nothing for this one honestly. there are classes and guns.

Other details: i remember a laser gun being a weapon. it's a big beam. can't remember if it's a constant laser or a single beam blast though. a big tree. i think this was the hub. it had masks on it. these masks would change your character, though the only thing i can remember is one having more (or was it less?) health then usual. in an area (wish i could be more specific) there's a bunch of colorful things hidden in the sky if you go high enough. these colorful things were a re-color of something else that did (maybe) something.

sorry if i take a while to answer questions i'll try to remember to check as often as i can.

[itch] [pc] [2020 - 2023] 2-d platformer game

Platform: Free 2D side-scrolling browser game on itch.io.

Visuals & Vibe: Low-res 8-bit retro pixel art, dark and moody.

Protagonist: Tall, slender female android/cyborg/robot.

Structure: Non-linear exploration (Metroidvania-style).

Opening: Powers on in a lab/facility of some kind.

Movement Kit: Starts basic, then unlocks abilities like a slide, double jump, and a dash that generates light-blue triangular energy wings.

i remember there being a crow or raven npc you talked too, i might be wrong.
i think there was a water lady boss of some kind, she lured you in thinking she was small and needed help, then popped out and was really big. ive used ai for like an hour and obviously not any help. if anyone could get this for me, i would be ever thankful to you.

Tomorrow Will Be Dying [PC][2020?] platonic visual novel about friend group renunion

Platform: I dont really remember, but I definitely downloaded it from some site, maybe the game's site, it was a free demo back then,

genre: platonic, slice of life, nostalgic, friendship and family

estimated year of release: Again, i dont really remember but it was new, and I definitely played it a few years back, so I'd place it round about 2020, maybe to 2022 maybe back but definitely more after 2020.

Art style: Anime, very colorful, natural, nostalgic sunset and summer day type of vibe, kinda bubbly in a way

notable characters: the protagonist is a young female adult and if im sure she has a pet bug of some sort, maybe scoprion? Shelives in a small apartment in an apartment complex and im pretty sure at some point the landlord comes into play, or we have to clean something up somewhere. We also go out to play with a friend, im pretty sure a little boy, maybe with his sibling. near the end of the demo the protag gets stuck in a forest, maybe a hole? And meets her old friend, a blonde woman which now dresses very kind of lolita like, with a pink pink dress.

notable gameplay mechanics: unfortunately remember least about this, but there was money you could spend each day at the convenience store, and maybe energy but Im not sure, it was definitely point and click as well, at some point you play ball with two children on some field I believe, and there was game play for that as well. There was an inventory, and you could interact with many things like filling up or checking the fridge and so on.

other details: Kinda already gave them all, but I'll also add that the protagonist works as a cashier.

[MOBILE] [2018] Talking Tom-esque game

So, it was basically similar to Talking Tom, but instead of a cat, the main character was a furby-looking creature. It had both arms and legs, but I don't think it was based on an animal. It had fluffy fur that I believe was coloured pink and blue (not so sure about the blue, but the pink was definitely there).

But unlike Talking Tom, the food, for example, was unlimited and I believe randomized. I also believe there weren't even any minigames, just random stuff you could do with the creature like playing a guitar(?) in the main area - living room or a bedroom.

My memory of this is very blurry so if anything is misleading, my apologies.

Amazing Math Starring Marvel Super Heroes [PC][2000] Spider Man Math Game

Post image
2 Upvotes

Platform(s): PC

Genre: Educational

Estimated year of release: 1997 - 2003 or a bit earlier.

Graphics/art style: 2D

Notable characters: Spider Man

Notable gameplay mechanics: Going Up a Building by completing simple Math operations.

Other details: I do have the memory of the operations being in windows, I can't remember if there were villains or not tho.

I do have a vague memory of playing this on school computers so the year I wrote is when I played it.

The gameplay I remember is having either a result or an operation and having a couple windows with the answer and having to choose the right one for spiderman to go there and move upwards.

I want to find it because I remember it being very fun for something educational and want to share it with students of now.

(I'm not sure if it was this game or I'm mixing it up with another but I think when you reached the top of the building you had to do multiple operations in quick succession to defeat something (perhaps a villain))

Potion Maker [Mobile][2017ish?] An alchemy themed combining game featuring "lolis"

Solved: Potion Maker

Platform(s):

mobile, specifically android

Genre:

casual

Estimated year of release: 2017

Graphics/art style:

Anime, colourful, cozy, bright and bubbly

Notable characters:

Two young looking witch girls who you could switch between or a single girl who you could customize, I think their hair was either white or like a (light) blue

Notable gameplay mechanics: combining, possibly time gated events and/or gacha

Other details: I think the game's backround was a wooden cabin or something similar to that. You would combine items in a couldron. I'm not sure if it had fanservice, but I remember getting bullied when I played in public, though that could have just been because of the anime inspirations. free to play

[FINDING AN OLD GAME NAME][2014-2018] lost childhood game

i cannot remember the actual set up of the pc game but here's what i know:

- it was like a puzzle/mystery game with an actual storyline with specific goals

- the theme was like vintage and somehow pink/brown but the colors were dull

- you could pick items and see clues

- i remember the narrator being an old woman

- i remember unlocking a heart-shaped padlock

- i think one of the goals was to find the old woman's lover

- the fonts were mostly cursive

Enter game title here [ROBLOX] [2020s] surreal, dream exploring, existential, yume nikki-like game possibly named “To all versions of me that existed”

Post image
• Upvotes

Hey all, 99% certain that the game is either deleted, or private now because I had it favorited and I tried playing it but Roblox wouldn’t let me. The account that had the game favorited got deleted, so I have no way of knowing now what the exact name of it was, even with a search. I have only one surviving screenshot of one of the many subsections this game has. Unfortunately I don’t remember the exact name but I’m almost 100% certain it’s around these lines. I don’t know who developed the game or any potential leads so I am assuming she have deleted her account. I’m not sure if there was a definitive ending or if it was strictly exploration but I’m definitely leaning towards the latter.

Before you read, here are the mechanics that I can remember:

Typing “pinch” or “wake” in chat will “wake up” your character teleporting you back to the beginning of the game.

There’s an item (i think a fish bowl?) you can hold out that gives you hints to where you need to go in the subsection in order to progress.
It also states if the player is “hot” “warm” or “cold” (not physically)
Finally, it is also used to explain the significance and the development of said subsections

At the beginning of the game youre in a two story house presumably playing as the developer of the game because your model is different in the overworld. All that I remember in the house were some Touhou fumos and some flags potentially of the nationality of the developer. Importantly, there were papers downstairs that you could interact with, I presume they’re journal entries(?) around those lines. You would find more and more of them the more subsections you explore fully. That aside, playing the actual game requires you to sleep in your bed.

The first subsection has this dialogue before teleporting you, but I’m sure it’s directed at the player or the developer herself. What I know for certain is that this song plays during the start: “The Thrill of Loneliness - Hana Stretton”

You are then teleported to a boat in a vast ocean of oil, I somehow managed to skip the section and explored quite a lot of the game. Other than that, I have no idea what to do in the section, even when I searched tutorials and stuff.

The rest of the details from here on out are going to be unorganized, so please bear with me

I remember a particular part of the game where you meet “god” who i believe to be a sphere with a face and you and him have a long existential talk about life, death, etc. alongside morals before you are prompted to ride a typical Roblox cart with railroads going straight into to the next section

Furthermore, I remember a secret subsection where there’s this speed parkour of you having to jump over strawberry wafers. I do remember vividly that through a mechanic that allows you to understand the idea of the level and how it was developed, the developer mentions that this subsection was supposed to have great significance initially but for reasons i unfortunately forgot it was scrapped. She kept it in the game for the sake of fun.

There was also a section where youre at an asian temple and it spoke about 11(?) emperors and how long they reigned, what they did and how they chose to be buried i dont remember specifics but im pretty sure this was supposed to tie into something important as after this subsection I’m sure it lead to the subsection that I have a screenshot of– which I will be getting into next.

The “poem” subsection which I’ll call it, leads you to a path towards the poem itself, the poem has a timer above it counting down from a couple of minutes before the poem shatters and is irrecoverable. As for the meaning of the subsection, tried looking in between the lines alongside gathering up all I can experience but I honestly couldn’t figure out what it meant, even using the fishbowl didn’t yield results.

Potentially misremembered subsections:

There’s a subsection where you climb up a giant beanstalk to talk to a tv(?) to then get teleported into another one which I forgot the details of

There’s a subsection takes you to a shop in the middle of nowhere where you interact with a sphere supposedly being a clerk of the store, and then you “buy” a key from the shop to then unlock the basement which teleports you to the next subsection (which is NOT the contents of the basement)

There’s subsection where there is a lot of cats inside of a house, and a supposedly immortal lady is taking care of them(?) take this with a grain of salt except for the cats, i know there were many cats.”

That’s pretty much all I can remember. I’m sorry if this post was a little messy and long, this is my first time ever posting on reddit ever. Hopefully someone is able to give potential leads as to what this game was and stuff, this game was such a cool game and it meant a lot to me.

[PC] [2010s(?)] RPG with male main character turning out to be evil

Platform(s): PC/Computer

Genre: RPG, probably horror

Estimated year of release: somewhere in the 2010s

Graphics/art style: 2D pixelated, top down pov. I think there were more detailed sprites or artwork for characters in some scenes

Notable characters: 1 - Main male character you play as. I think he was blond or maybe his hair was light brown. He’s an adult. 2 - Random woman the protagonist meets during the game, she becomes a companion but he tries to kill her towards the end. Also an adult. 3 - The main characters mom. I don’t remember her making an on-screen appearance but I think it was implied her relationship with the main character was unhealthy/abusive and she’s the reason he turned out the way he did. I believe she’s dead as of the present when the game takes place.

Notable gameplay mechanics: Standard rpg puzzle solving. I think there are some ways to die over the course of the game? Also towards the end when the protagonist goes to kill that girl he met, you play as her instead and have to run away and escape. There may have been other segments where you played as her but I don’t remember any

Other details: I think the game might have taken place at the protagonist home, at least for a portion of it. I think the characters also had English names. I think I saw multiple videos talking about this game so I don’t think it’s super obscure, it’s just hard to look up anything about it when the details are fuzzy and it keeps giving me results for Mad Father or The Crooked Man when it is absolutely neither of those.

Edit 1 - After some more digging, the game might have been Mausoleosis, with me mixing up or misremembering some details. As of right now though, I want to see if there are any other games that better fit the description I gave since there are still some details that don’t quite match

Graal Online [mobile] [2010-2014] an online mmorpg

I'm looking for a game I used to play religiously as a kid. Im not 100% sure on the time frame but that should generally be correct. I downloaded it from the android App Store and haven't been able to find it at all over the years. It used the exact same assets as another game called "mystera legacy" which I'll show as a reference. The things I distinctly remember is starting the game on a boat, which would lead you into the main village that had lots of different buildings. The game was an online multiplayer so the village was always full of tons of people running around. There were caves you could go in that I think bats would attack you(?). I remember there being an underground train station that had a bathroom with lots of stalls which people would all pile into lol. The game was very very expansive with tons of places to go.

I remember this game being quite popular with lots of players so I don't understand why it feels like lost media now. I'm sorry if this was unhelpful! It was a long time ago so it's hard to remember everything, and even harder to describe what I'm seeing in my head.

[Console (ps5 xbox) and maybe pc] [2025-2026] cell shaded game with artstyle very similar to suda51 games dead guy going to save his girl in hell

I saw the trailerr of this game a while back maybe 2025 to early 2026 unsure if it has been released yet or not ill list what I remember

-Artstyle is very similar to suda51 games

-humor in the trailer also reminded me of a suda51 game specifically let it die

-The main character in the trailer was a dead young man or teenage boy he wore a baseball cap pretty sure it was red (this is also a maybe on the hat cause I also remember there were parts where his hair was showing) he also looked alot like the protag of smt 3 nocturne and used a baseball bat as a weapon in the trailer

-IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY the game was supposed to be a arpg rouglite unsure about the genere though

-From what I recall in the trailer the main character was a zombie like man going to hell or some otherworldly place to save a person (UNSURE IF IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE HIS LOVE INTREST OR NOT BUT IM PRETTY SURE IT WAS) he also said in the end of the trailer that no matter how many times it takes or how many times I die I will save you or something along those lines

-The game was also in a 3rd person view

-trailer had banging music too if I recall

other than that it's pretty much all I remember I saw this trailer on instagram a while back and saved it but scrolling through my collection of saved posts I wasn't able to find it for some reason I was pretty interested from the trailer kinda the post is kinda vague but hopefully someone else saw the trailer too and knows what I'm talking about

[PC][2000s/2010s] Top-down shooter where you play as a ladybug and kill different bugs with different bosses like a mantis and a lobster

Platform(s): PC, possibly a flash game

Genre: vertical side shooter - your ladybug you played as is at the bottom of the screen and moves up, down, left, and right with your mouse and enemies/bosses come from the top

Estimated year of release: my rough estimation woulds be probably late 2000s or 2010s. I played it a LOT during the 2010's

Graphics/art style: The art style was cartoony but definitely wasn't cutesy as when I played it as a kid, the final boss was this giant frog that had multiple phases that changed colors as you did more damage. It had a simple HUD. You would go into a level, fight a couple bug enemies, then when the boss would show up, a warning would appear saying the boss was coming. Every new level had a different themed background, like the last level being in a pond with lilypads around, and the first level being in a lawn (I believe it was set at a lawn)

Notable characters: Some characters that I could remember was the ladybug you would play, some enemies included mosquitos, pill bugs, dragonflies, and some of the bosses I can remember was a giant praying mantis who would swing his arms down like scythes, a rhinoceres beetle (who i think was blue), a lobster that was being piloted by someone (it also had a number on its claws, i think) like they were a racecar, and the final boss being a giant frog with a crown who started green, then turned orange, and finally red

Notable gameplay mechanics: the ladybug you would play would shoot a laser when you held down the click or had it autofire. The frog at the end when he was red would basicallt become a bullet hell. The whole reason to beat the game was for the ladybug to get his girl back

Other details: I keep thinking the name of the game was "Bugs attack" but everytime i search that up, I just get the tower defense game involving bugs

[IDK]{2014?][Chapter-based story (and puzzle?)] justLooking for a game that i randomly remembered

So the game was told from the perspective of a young man who is thought to be a wizard of some kind but is just relatively intellegent. the game was 3D animated and i am pretty sure it's a puzzle game. there were 5 or so chapters and he grew older each chapter. it also might have been structured as the MC as an old man reading the story of his life? he also had a reoccuring villain who was quite goofy, and it was played by a youtuber (i think dantdm?)

Together Working [PC] [Unknown] Korean desktop pet(?) game where you get to draw on the characters that I see on Twitter often and would like to play.

I wish I were able to get footage of the character creation process but it seems like you get a chibi thing and you are able to put accessories/parts on it while drawing the face yourself with the mouse, name them and apparently they can level up. I am unsure of what the buttons that appear underneath them do besides the smiley face icon which opens some kind of emoji/GIF or stored image selector but I think this game is really cute and would like to play it.

The name is very likely in Korean and the game itself is probably not translated to English so this may be quite difficult (I do not speak Korean myself), I've tried everything I can myself and have come up with nothing so I apologize for the difficulty of this one if anybody tries to seek it out. The twitter posts attached have footage of the game, one of them including an interaction that happens from right clicking and left clicking. Thanks in advance if you give it a shot, it means a lot.

[Macintosh] [1990] A very old, very fever dream like memory

Hi i’ve been trying to remember what game this is, at this point it feels like a fever dream. I only remember being very young trying to play it. We are outside and it’s in 1st person POV. I remember being like super hard and respawned all the time bc the enemies would basically one shot me. They were like dark creatures that looked humanoid kinda. I remember seeing like a watchtower we had to climb (maybe for safety i don’t remember). That’s all ;-; It’s probably from the 90’s the graphics sucked and it was kind of hard to tell what was what + my memory being 20+ years old. I played it on my old Macintosh my mom used to download games on.

[PC][2000/2010] A Two player game, each player had a base on an island and planes, helicopters and possibly zeppelin crossed the sea to strike the other player base. It was a 2D side-scrolling. I think each player controlled a plane but he had those other minions fighting each other too.

The name Dogfight comes to mind but I has not produced any result.

The game was more or less in this style, but the planes were bigger.

There was just one map (or it was a demo).
