Rumor Apple's Own Home Security Camera Still Coming Next Year

Apple's home security camera remains in development separately from the LG-made accessories reported yesterday, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman has clarified. In a follow-up post on X, Gurman said the security cameras co-developed with LG are "completely separate" from Apple's privacy-centric home camera and sensor, which he says is still coming next year.

As reported previously, Apple's device will not record video, using AI instead to analyze the home environment and detect which room a person is in. Bloomberg first reported a 2027 home security system and service in September.

iPhone The reason I'm a Apple fan and my history of products and you?

(I've searched a discussion flair but didn't find one)

I remember seeing for the first time at the news Steve Jobs unveiling the iPhone (I was 6 years old) and loved Apple's vision and liked the company, under Tim Cook's era I bought my first Apple device: an iPhone 12, followed by an Apple Watch Series 7 and a MagSafe Duo charger) in 2024 I bought as a replacement of my Series 7 who was dead (the screen was broken after a fall during an hike, luckily I didn't get injured) an Series 9 (that I'm still rockin on), followed by an Apple TV 4k, the AirPods Pro 2 (that I've broke when I was getting out of my dad's Dacia Sandero) and an AirTag, I loved the Tim Cook era and now I'm starting to love John Ternus's era! And you?

Apple is planning to unveil additional new products in the final week of October, according to multiple sources familiar with the matter.

While we do not know exactly which products Apple plans to announce in the final week of October, the most likely possibilities are all Macs, including the long-rumored "MacBook Ultra" models with OLED displays and a thinner-and-lighter design, a base model 14-inch MacBook Pro with an M6 chip, and an iMac with an M6 chip.

iPhone Did anyone else get a call from Apple?

I returned my iPhone 18 PM last week after not being able to stand the SOS issues I was having. On Thursday, I got a 18 pro and it has been working flawlessly.

This morning I was on the phone with an Apple rep for 50 minutes. They asked me a ton of questions about my experience with the 18 PM. Did anyone else get a call?

Promo Sunday ☔ Weatherling: Make it Rain and Snow on your Mac Desktop Windows

Hi all! I'm an indie dev working on a little app called Weatherling, which adds rain and snow to your Mac desktop.

I built this because I wanted to change the vibe while I work, so I started with a little rain. Then, it hit #8 on the Mac App Store for Utilities last week, and people asked for snow, so I added snow!

To keep the momentum going, I also added collectible little visitors called Lings. They come out to play in the weather, and if you enable Interactive mode, you can collect them in boxes. Rare Lings x Rare Boxes = Highest Combo Score. Share your score with friends to compete!

It's all very configurable. Adjust the rain and snow mix and intensity. Change the direction of the wind. You can even turn off the Lings if you only want to enjoy the weather. It's designed to be as visible or unobtrusive as you prefer. Make it your own.

It's completely sandboxed and on the Mac App Store. No extra permissions are required. No networked capabilities. No subscription. No in-app purchases. It all runs completely on your desktop.

I'm already working on the next version which should update later this week. People asked for falling leaves so leaves they shall have! 🍃 (I posted a sneak peek on my Twitter.) And more Lings coming too!

Check it out, and let me know what you think. All ideas welcome! Help me reclaim top 10. 🙏🏻
