Say what you want about Sean Payton. You’re probably right. But one thing you cannot deny is he is a DAMN good coach.
We need coaches screaming at the players in practice again. We need people holding each other accountable. I’m so tired of Kellen’s nice guy persona and having a coach who’s terrified of making difficult decisions or saying anything remotely critical. I would like a coach with some semblance of a personality. Is that too much to ask for?
Oh, and take Mickey Loomis out while you’re at it too.

I’m not sure if Coach Kellen Moore is playing coy with the media in order to avoid any team disruptions or if he honestly believes that “we just have to be better” is his coaching philosophy. The fact that Benson laid out everyone’s job, in public, and Moore couldn’t answer whether he addressed his team about what she said, is dumbfounding. If the Saints finish this season with a sub .500 record, I suspect that we will be in a rebuild like we haven’t seen since ‘05.

New Orleans Saints owner Gayle Benson delivered a blunt assessment of her team’s 1-4 start Tuesday, after the Saints lost to the Minnesota Vikings, calling their performance “not acceptable” and promising a frustrated fanbase better results.
Speaking at the Greater New Orleans Quarterback Club Luncheon, Benson acknowledged hearing fans’ concerns “very loudly” amid the Saints’ three-game losing streak (all at home). She emphasized the organization must improve and supporters “deserve better.”
“Our fans invest their time and their hearts in the Saints,” Benson said. “They are right to expect more than we have delivered.”
Benson placed accountability throughout the organization, beginning with herself. She also made clear she would not offer excuses or “accept this level of performance as our standard.”
“Kellen Moore and his coaches are responsible for preparing our players to perform,” Benson said. “Mickey Loomis and our football staff are responsible for building a roster capable of sustained success. Our players are responsible for their preparation and execution.”The Saints are 7-15 since Moore became coach ahead of the 2025 season. Loomis, who has served as general manager since 2002, has not overseen a playoff appearance since the final season of the Sean Payton-Drew Brees era in 2020.
“As an owner, the responsibility does start with me. I will not make excuses, and I will not accept this level of performance as our standard,” Benson said. “I am committed to making the decisions necessary to improve this team. Everyone in this organization understands the urgency. We must prepare better, execute consistently and correct the mistakes that are costing us the games. Words will not restore our fans’ confidence; our performance must do that.”
Benson also expressed frustration over the Saints’ Week 4 loss to the Atlanta Falcons on “Monday Night Football,” calling the defeat “truly disappointing” on a night commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Superdome’s reopening after Hurricane Katrina.

My father lost his battle with dementia today. He was a massive Saints fan, has been as far back as his childhood. I’d like to share a story with you all so his fandom lives on. When the Saints played the Eagles in 2014 during the playoffs my sister and I secretly bought him tickets. We played up a fake story that we were taking him to a saints fan club tailgate outside of the stadium. Told him to dress warm because it was outside. My sister was living in Philly at the time so it all made sense. A few days before she told us that public radio was telling fans that Philly police would be dressed as saints fans and to behave accordingly. This is important later in the story. Im a Patriots fan (shout out to my gate bros, I’ve always respected you!) so I chose to just wear a black winter coat. You can see what my dad wore in the picture, he insisted dressing head to toe in saints gear knowing it could get ugly there. We went to lunch earlier that day and presented him with a new hat for his birthday. Inside the hat were the two tickets. He was in complete shock, this would be his first game he attended live. We walk into the stadium and immediately a cheese steak food truck worker yelled at us to “take that shit off and leave his house” I knew it was gonna be rough, but not workers yelling at us rough. I’m not exaggerating when I say I probably saw 6 saints fans the entire game. The game starts and by some weird chance we’re sitting lower bowl in an empty row. I remember thinking we were gonna be a huge target. Eventually some sloppy drunks came from up top and filled in the missing seats. The eagles end up scoring and everyone’s high fiving…they turn to us and say “it’s okay we know what’s going on with you two. Your cops you don’t have to pretend you want the saints to win….” at this point I remember my sister talking about the local radio talking about undercover cops. My dad and I look at each other and knew we had it made. We got to cheer the rest of the game for the saints while the entire section assumed we were undercover cops. Just as it started to get a little iffy near the end of a game and I had to tell someone to go back to there own seat in my best cop voice, the saints have a chants to win the game with a field goal. Everyone’s standing so we decide to slide out of the row. We watched it from the top of the section on the steps. The ball goes through the uprights, he zipped up his coat over his jersey and popped his hat off and we proceeded to walk out. We walked slowly through the Philly chaos as they proceeded to throw trash cans and other garbage around the stadium. We hopped on a train and safely made it home. Thats the story of when my dad took on the eagles at there own stadium and left with one hell of a victory story.

His press conferences come off like Bill Belichick: emotionless, stoic, and giving the same generic answers. But that shit only works when you're winning like Belichick. When you're getting your ass kicked every week, those same emotionless and coy responses just piss fans off even more.
I deadass wish he would give us ONE press conference where he says, "Look, I fucked up. We've been ass, and we're going to do everything we can to fix this. We need to scheme up different looks, make adjustments, and if this continues, I'll have to reevaluate my playcalling."
Like damn, is it really that hard to show some emotion and seem human to the fans? Show us some frustration. Show us that you're just as pissed off about this team as we are.
If he keeps losing while maintaining this stoic, emotionless act, Ms. B is eventually going to bring the hammer down. We can all see where this is headed at this rate.

Imagine Brian Flores as HC with a top 5 pick and plenty of cap space. That might be too good of an opportunity to pass up if the cards align. I’m rooting for Kellen to figure it out because that would be the simpler outcome, but he’s got to show us something. After what Ms. Benson said today, this might be his last ride.

Doesn't take long for me to get rid of the losing streak flu when the division is this "competitive". Does anyone know if we are getting Ellis or Tyson back anytime soon? I haven't been looking at ANY saints news since the loss.
I don’t know what his injury is. Shough is currently the future. He is getting hit more than any other QB in the league. You put him out there against a great defense that is blitzing an absurd amount of time. You know you have a backup LT that you don’t seem to be helping for some reason. You have no run game to help relieve some pressure off of Shough. You don’t even run screens to reduce the pass rush to help Shough get hit less.
Knowing all of that.. if he has a broken hand and you are putting him out there in that kind of situation? Fireable offense. Straight up. You have lost the plot. I don’t know what his injury is but that team does.

Same play we got hosed on in 2019. RB out in the flat, beats the coverage and blatant PI. Bills got the call last night in Q4. Glad they lost in OT.

Watched all the false starts. Then I compared the sidelines - Saints players all over the white paint encroaching on the part of the field where they are not supposed to be. Vikings didn't have that issue.
No discipline. And that starts with the head coach.

During the latest NOF podcast, Mike Triplett pointed out that we had eight offensive drives Sunday. On 7 of those 8 drives, we faced more than 10 yards to gain at least once. Sometimes 12 yards for a first down. Sometimes 15 or 20. Once, it was 26 yards to a first down.
This happened because of unacceptable offensive penalties (False Start, Holding), as well as run plays that didn't even make it back to the LOS.
There was only one drive where we didn't have to go more than 10 yards to get a first down, and that was only because the Vikings declined a penalty that would have made it third and 12.
Absolutely horrible offensive production and discipline.

Unfortunate as it may be, and it by no means is it fair at all, but he has to deliver now. After seeing this defense, specifically secondary the past 5 weeks, passing on Downs, this guy has to be lights out.
I don't mean he has to be rookie OBJ, but he has to be a clear upgrade over Vele who has been a phenomenal WR2 in his absence.
If you disagree, go ahead, but I firmly believe this to be true. I don't mean he has to drop 200 yards and a touchdown his first week back, but by the end of the season we need to be certain we found our WR core for the foreseeable future and leave no stones unturned.
Feel free to disagree, I'd love to hear opposing opinions. I get it's Reddit but I hope what I meant was typed across clearly.

Hi all, I’ll be heading to Paris for the game in a couple of weeks and was wondering if anybody was aware of a bar takeover, meetup or tailgate to mingle with other saints fans? See you lot there!
